Just showed this album to my 16 year old daughter. She was shocked when I told her Jay-Z and Linkin Park collaborated on an album together before she was born lol 😂 Still a masterpiece ❤ RIP Chester

I’m 34, never knew about this until today. It’s alright… not a big Jay Z fan myself.
Small history lesson:
MTV asked Jay-Z who he wanted to collaborate with and he said Linkin Park. Everyone were surprised and probably never thought these two would compliment each other almost perfectly. They not only made this EP but also preformed the whole album in front of their mutual fans.
If this wasn't enough they won a Grammy for Numb/encore. They signed out in a glorious way as they end their journey with one last live collaboration with a legend from The Beatles on the Grammys' stage. "Yesterday" was the song that got mashed up with the already perfect Numb/Encore.

We truly had it really good back then. Those sure were the days. I wish we'd still get music like this.
Crazy how this really got so many bad reviews when it came out, but it was so well put together that if you didn't already know the origional songs then you'd think that these were originals and not mashups! It's a classic EP that pushed boundaries.

Its so crazy. I'm 30 and I feel the same. I can't believe I hated this and just couldnt appreciate it. The numb/encore is one of my favorite songs of all time now. Just so well done.

I got away with a ticket by playing points of authority/99 problems/one step closer as the cop walked up. He laughed, said a couple of the words, and just gave me a warning because it wasn't that bad of an offense and I made his day.

💯💯💯💯 it's my favorite. At the time Linkin Park & Jay-Z were my 2 favorite artists... When this came out, I was sooo freakin excited to hear it. My bf at time bought me the CD(back in day, lol) the first day it came out & I fell in love with how good it was. Numb/Encore is not the same if I listen to just the single of each without it being joined together. 😂❤️❤️ So sad & unfortunate Chester is not longer with us!! RIP Chester!!❤️❤️

On an age full of mashups this was pretty groundbreaking looking back.
Yeah this was before mashups were pretty easy. This was phenomenal I was 14 when hybrid theory was released. Collision course is one of my faves so I couldn't agree more.
I had this cd AND dvd. I was probably like 13 and must have watched and listened to this hundreds of times. Both were in their prime.

I remember being in high school and Linkin Park being my favorite rock group, and Jay Z being my favorite rapper. When I found out this album was coming out I was in disbelief and hyped beyond belief all at once. This is probably my favorite LP album outside of Reanimation which is still in my opinion, their best work.
