- In the build up to their 25 Year celebration at The Forum, Kentish Town, Fabio & Grooverider sat down with us to chat about where they came from, how it started for them and the many changes they've seen since the birth of the scene.

brilliant to see these 2 still kicking it
These are two of my favorite people in the world.. and i've never even seen them in person.. just over the years of hearing them on the internet has made me love them.. Such awesome people.. And their ear for good DnB is unreal... I will always be a fabio and grooverider fan.. They literally are the first place i turn for new choons..

The best thing I heard all day !
Wicked interview. Legends
Still grafting! Legends!
Mysteries of funk is a nice lp. Got that one on vinyl.
TheAldawg77 Myself. These guys are two of the most important blokes in DnB. Younger kids just have no clue.
I remember back in the day, these two were on every flyer along with mickey Finn, Swanee, Randal, Rat Pack etc.
cause the scene died 18 years ago imo
Slipmat and Lime
Top buzz
Jumping Jack Frost, kenny Ken, LTJ Bookem etc
@@MemoryLaneCinema If you think that, you are fooled. It is alive and kicking, trust me. Read enough of the comments, look at the lifespan of these guys, listen to what the big names are still producing, see the line-ups of festivals, it is still going on.
Fannysludge..... You had to have been there... If you wasn't I'm sorry you don't know Fabio and Grooverider are pioneers of house, acid hous, Acid, Happy hardcore, hardcore, Jungle, Drum and Bass.... So sorry pal you just wasn't there!!!
You forgot Techno in there as well. These guys were some of the first to play that sound. They even mention it in the video :)
You weren’t there cause they never ever played happy hardcore you mug!!
leon McLovin Wrong, I remember Grooverider playing happy stuff mixed in with jungle at kinetic. Vibes & wishdoctor tunes among others.

Decent interview however Grooverider little brother Simon Bingham I have to say is one of the most arrogant people I have ever meet. He comes across nice but when those cameras aren't rolling you see him for what he is. Shame he ain't talented like his big bro or have the personality.
Everytime I heard rider he's always played a bit of a scrappy set.. mixing isn't the greatest but he had all the big tunes
At the beginning at the right place right time
you would have thought that they would have taken their jackets off
+StarMangledAstronaut They were born in those jackets!
Jolar70 I've seen groove in stinking sweaty clubs in summer wearing his han solo jacket and a woolly hat.
Two used to be’s great here them now omg wtf happened
I appreciate they are old school but they never hit the spot when I go raving
+fannysludge BACK IN THE EARLY 90´S THEY WERE TRULY AEWSOME
+sebastian de rementeria Yeah, I got to see them, pre-jungle, at the Astoria (winter of '91, I think) and it's great to see them here because they didn't crack a smile back then(!), the crowd was hyperventilating on drugs (seriously, I have never since joined an audience of kids quite that fucked up!) but I, as an American tourist who had expected a minimalist evening of Northern bleep techno, had my mind totally BLOWN by a humid (the walls were dripping with sweat) set of heavy breakbeat rave by these two! I don't agree with Fabio, I think DnB was eventually a big, gentrified, step down from Jungle in terms of creativity and format but there is no question that these two are HUGE legends!
fannysludge l
OMG they look scary!
They're honestly the nicest guys on the planet, full stop.
Solid geezers. Always happy to chat to us ravers. I remember them both from Milwaukees Bedford in the early 90s
