Was never a fan of these 2 or their music, but when they talk they are so easy to listen to.
Looking forward to listening to part 2.
Agreeeed
When's tanith coming on ......??
It's been 3 years - ITS NOT HUGE!
It's so wholesome to just hear them constantly agree with each other 😅😅
Big up the Fabio for saying he’s a Corrie fan! Love that guy even more now!
Storm, Hastings pier, Fabio, Grooverider and MC Cool n deadly. My introduction to the combination of dance music and mind altering substances. Great memories!
Love it! 🙌
Groove and Fab are like peanut butter and jelly. Connected at the hip. Jokesters
Rave is not a type of music it's a culture
Was never a fan of drum n base but grooverider on his own bout 90/ 91.
thanks for getting things documented..
You're very welcome geezer.
THANK YOU for the brilliant episode!
Smiling all the way through 😁😁😁
Miss the days of these two late night on Kiss 100 FM. The music was so fresh, experimental and rare. You had to listen because you couldn't hear the music anywhere else at the time.
Really ? You could hear them, on various pirate stations across the capital.
I laugh when fab does. His laugh makes me laugh.
He’s got a lovely laugh. Lovely manner. Lovely man.
so awesome to see these rave orientated podcasts popping up, great to hear the stories of all my childhood heros
love this podcast . thank you
Great getting to know these two legends! 💯❤️
What a superb interview, with Fabio & Grooverider, interesting & such nice guys. I've watched part 2 as well. The future guest DJs I'd like to see interviewed are DJ Hype, SS, Ratty, LTJ Bukem, Ratpack. Great job guys,!! 😊 👍😁
The bromance is real!
YEEEESSS!!! just found this!!!
Nice interview. Still waiting for Raymond to release that great Detroit techno track he wrote in 1993. It was the second track in on his “Grooverider Alive” mix cd. Frikken love that track! There were two versions of it too. The other had breaks and pianos.
grandi! continuate così
Hugely entertaining 👏🏽👏🏽🎼♥️
Great first postcast, and what a pair of legends you got to kick it all off with! 👌
A great start to the podcast 👍
Love this channel!
Great interview! Such legends.
Cheers mate. We think so too. If you like jungle, our Bryan Gee epsiode will be out next month. Quite the interview! 😎
Here after reading the observer article. Shared to the bowlers reunion group. If you know you know
These two are smart
To kings of their thing.......
“We won’t play a tune twice in the set”. 🤣🤣🤣. Umm 2 Bad Mice “Drumscare” twice at Universe Pleasure Planet 1992... I always found that humorous, they must have really liked that one. I love that set myself, I went out of my way to collect every record they played at that event.
love how this has 0 dislikes. if u no u no
Grooverider is for me one of the greatest ever.. Before dnb and jungle was defined, those 1990/1991 sets were incredible. Still hammer them today. An unbelievable talent.
He couldnt mix for shit tho, was always dropping howlers back then and Mickey Finn...
And you could have done better
Loved the first episodes. Will you be covering the pirate radio stations of the era?
We will, of course mate!
@@ROARUKPods Now that would be something to look forward too!
Would like to see a interview with amnesia house crew bam bam and Neville
Are these available to download? Get them on spotify please. I spent far too long driving, these pod casts would pass the time.
They are all on Spotify mate.
Nice one, following on spotify. Thanks for the reply
Cracking me up from time. Need more brothers with this humour! Don’t listen to this if you work in a miserable office! 😂😂✊🏾 big up Roar
Just wished you’d asked Fab more about Creative Source for the new school.
Cheers mate!
Grooverider is a pilot? 🤯
Who'd have thought! Fair play
Just realised you meant an actual pilot. 😂 Yeah, we were surprised too!
@@ROARUKPods haha, yeah. Private jet to gigs anyone? 🤣🙌🏼 good show, cheers.
@@philrodgers2167 Glad you enjoyed! If you've got a few spare quid for the crowdfund it would be much obliged! x
Lived and loved the 90s DnB scene, but this interview is like something off CBBC or Blue Peter! C’mon guys, we’re not all kids anymore.
Give our other stuff a listen, all very different.
nah it's good hearing there storys and things different than the usuall
I think you where born in the 90s cmon WTF do you expect them ???
where was the part about drugs ?
Grooverider and Fabio did not invent Jungle! Yes, they are giants of the scene who helped push the sound, via their DJ sets but it was the producers who invented Jungle!
100% facts👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
The early producers (lenny de ice, members of what later became 4 hero, a guy called gerald) were inspired to create tunes based on the fusion of deep bass overlayed with breaks that Fabio and Grooverider were playing live on the decks at Rage
@@alsimonuk Incorrect! All the producers you mentioned, produced tracks with breaks and "deep bass" in them before Fabio and Grooverider started their residency at Rage around about 91. Furthermore, producers in the States were using breaks in their House/Techno tracks back in '88, which gave birth to the Hip House thing - tracks like The Jungle Brothers - I'll House You. (Remember that JUNGLE BROTHERS name). Put simply, Fabio & Grooverider never mixed breaks with House, they played Hip House and Hip Hop Instrumentals like some other DJs.
Let's just say they are the godfathers of jungle. Case closed!
Godfathers aren't the actual fathers!
