Avi is a fantastic whistler, I love when he whistles in his songs. Seeing him in concert and hearing him doing the whistling for Aberdeen was a dream come true for me!!
I was blown away by that! Amazing.
Avi used this song as his only cover on his first solo tour in 2019, and performed it with the touring band he had for that tour. I shot this audience video at his August 24, 2019 show in Dallas, Texas, where I was unfortunately stuck over against a wall, as the show had sold out and I was SRO. But the sound turned out well. It will give you a taste of how he arranged the songs for playing with 4 other musicians. By the way, the keyboardist who nails the honky-tonk piano that replaces Avi's whistling is the same man, Daniel Ellsworth, who played piano on Avi's recent "Healing", organ and synth on "Good Good Love" and "Uncanny Valley", and piano on all 4 songs from Avi's Sunset Sound Session. czcams.com/video/Hk_Mh4SweXQ/video.html

Avi does a live instagram acoustic concert fund raiser for his Acapella Academy students yearly. He sings several songs and has a Q&A in between songs. He is fantastic as always. Some of them are posted on CZcams by his fans.

Avi has a gorgeous voice ❤ I discovered him as a solo artist & only found out after that he used to be part of Pentatonix. My favorite song of his is Change On The Rise.
If you like Avi & Pentatonix there is another group you will love too, called Forestella. They are a classical/cross-over quartet who also have a bass vocalist with a beautifully rich tone. Avi Kaplan & Ko Woorim (Forestella) are my favourite bass voices. I highly recommend 👍🏻

This is a great cover, and of course Avi did an Amazing job. Just him & his guitar. 👏👏Seriously I don't think there's anything Avi can't sing & it would sound fantastic. He always puts so much feeling & soul into songs. I agree with you, since his early days Avi has matured so much musically/vocally. Incredible talent. Yes Avi's whistling always surprises us all. Avi live is my favorite way to hear him. He just blows me away in concert and on his livestreams.
He did a version of O Holy Night during a concert in Texas last year that is so good.

He has now become my favorite artist. I turned to music (and reaction videos) as a means to escape the sorrow in my life. I had lost my father-in-law, then my brother, and then my mom in a four month span in 2021. Since then, I have now lost my uncle and my mother-in-law, whose funeral is tomorrow. Reaction videos has helped me through it all, and Avi Kaplan's music has been a God send.

Avi is also a polyphonic/overtone singer.

They interview online from all over the world and the three "Dads" choose who will
be included in that years choir which lasts a bit over a week.
Youth from all over the world participate and some of them are very poor and cannot afford
to pay their way, so Avi puts on an online concert every year to raise money for those not able to pay. That is what he was doing here. People call in and request he sing a specific song and in return give money.
