Hi, I'm a strong strong nurse-midwife that just discovered you and powerlifting in the last four months or so. Totally life-changing. It has been awesome to watch your journey and great to see you training in the postpartum. I often have conversations w/mamas who want to "get back to their pre-pregnancy body" and "lose the weight" and I think your message of strength and healing are so crucial to add to the mix. You grew a WHOLE HUMAN BEING in under a year! It's wild and wonderful work -- growing a baby. The truth is, patience, smart training, plenty of rest and nourishing food and movement won't result in someone returning to their "pre-pregnancy body." The beautiful fact is that ... well, you are forever changed. And that's nothing to fear or dread. You're helping women adapt to the metamorphosis that all women go through when they have babies. Thanks for demonstrating the potential to be a body-positive strong strong mama for yourself and for your growing family. XOXO
You did a video maybe a year or two back on wrist and finger pain and what exercises to do to alleviate that. It helped me tremendously! I have been able to do them three to six times a day without overtraining. Thank you🙂 Please repost so others can get the help they need, and additional tips for me.
Your videos are the best that I’ve seen on here! You get right to it, you explain things extremely well, and you’ve solidified a lot of the movement patterns I’ve been doing while simultaneously correcting lots of mistakes I’ve been making. Thank you for all these great tips!! (I’m watching the videos all out of order chaotically 👌🏼🤣)
Hey megs! I'm 4 months pregnant and was lifting 6 months prior to pregnancy. I've lost lots of leg and glute muscle (becuz I haven't been lifting). I didnt loose my butt, just lost the defined muscle i built. However I'm finally feeling energetic to get back in the gym while pregnant and your videos are inspiring!
Thanks Meg! Missed your videos. You are my favourite fitness entrepreneur! Would love to see an arms workout. How to make training arms a bit more exciting ❤️☺️
@Megsquats I've had three kids and yep, I lost my butt every single time 😩 It just deflates! Getting my butt back is always my first priority once I'm ready to get back into it.
The best warm up for the movement you’re doing is a less intense version of that movement (so for back squats: air squats -> empty bar -> ramping weights). Same work mobility - doing movements more often will help improve your mobility in that movement pattern. Look up Alan Thrall or Barbell Medicine for more explanations and evidence about this stuff! Their channels are great :)
Love your channel boo! SO MAD i haven't worked out in a month due to debilitating Sciatica I developed, for the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE, that MAY have been brought on by Deadlifting. Guess THOSE are out of my regimen going forward, after clearance from my Phy. Therapist to resume working out. I start my sessions in hopefully a wk or so. But this video is SO motivating!
If you can put up with some wrapping, it can help minimize the coning until the separation (diastasis recti) reduces through natural progression of healing. Your abs are more than likely still really strong but they won’t perform like they used to because of the separation. Take time & care with them to like you do with the rest of your body. Just want to share what I wish I knew before. Cheers!
Great videos. And yeah my wife didnt loose her butt after having our first second and third baby. I personally luved it lol. Nice chain by the way. When my wife got me one when we first started dating 15 yrs ago I said to myself "this is definitely the one"
I apologize if I’ve missed anything with Ryan as a Dad, but it would be interesting to get a snippet of both mi meg and Ryan as parents beyond the iron.
Wow! That is a lot of weight. You mentioned pressure in the pelvis when lifting heavy after child birth.and that really caught my attention. I am wondering now if that is why I have severe incontince.
Hey Meg! I love deadlifting but I am not as strong as i was before and would really love to get back into it. The gym i go to doesn’t have bumper plates and i am definitely not at a plate yet. The 25 plates are just to low to ground any suggestions on what else I can do?! I really want to get back into it and hopefully get back to at least a 45 plate!
I'd recommend replacing a sissy squat with bodyweight leg extension where shins are on the floor. If you'd like a gif to demonstrate that, message Strong Strong Friends on Instagram and they'll send you one!
Please tell the cameraman to stop using the auto focus and learn to focus manually. The focus is almost always wrong and shifting around continuosly, it's very irritating. I do love your content though, just a little remark to make it even better!

This is what I need to get something going in my mind while I workout. Thanks so much for doing this!
Glad you enjoyed it! 💪🏻
You talking about lifting postpartum just amazes me about how strong our bodies are.
Bodies are so strong!! 💪🏻
Hey Meg, can you give us a shoulder workout video? I want my shoulders to look more round if that makes sense but they are my weakest point.
Really loved this! It got me to exercise for the first time in weeks! Had such a fun time exercising with you Meg 😅🥳
Love to hear that! Thank you! 💪🏻
Thanks Meg! Missed your videos. You are my favourite fitness entrepreneur!

Love your workouts!! Would love to see more warm ups and mobility based on what muscles you are working that day. Thanks for all the info!!!

Meg I enjoy watching you because you are real. You look awesome after having a baby. 👍
Thank you so much!
Fitness is not about being better than someone else, it’s about being better than you used to be.
I lost my butt each pregnancy too. 😂 good thing is that with muscle memory, it comes back fairly quick!
I noticed that you and I do the same warmup. It's tough but worth it. ;)
Now I want to see a collaboration between Meg and Eric Bugenhagen, doing Zerchers and similar crazy stuff.
any info about doing a work out with a barbell but without a bench or rack would be great
I fucking love your energy 😄
My sister always called the inner elbow a crellbow no idea why but it stuck for me lol
Great videos. And yeah my wife didnt loose her butt after having our first second and third baby. I personally luved it lol. Nice chain by the way. When my wife got me one when we first started dating 15 yrs ago I said to myself "this is definitely the one"

Can these moves be done using a smith machine ?
Antecubitals is what they’re called 😆 if my anatomy still intact lol
Wow! That is a lot of weight. You mentioned pressure in the pelvis when lifting heavy after child birth.and that really caught my attention. I am wondering now if that is why I have severe incontince.
It definitely could be. I'd recommend seeing a pelvic floor therapist if possible. Even just one session is super beneficial.
Just saw your invisalign posts on insta and MY GOD do your teeth look nice indeed 😮
Oh thank you!
Great share! I hit the like button like it called my mother a chicken frog
how many days a week is your Stronger By The Day Program?
How do you prevent coning?
This is so random, but where is your gym fit from?
Also you look amazing!!
It's random but I think your face is so unique and beautiful
Agreed
“Feels pretty good considering I went to Canada 🇨🇦 “ 🤗

@Ash Ley … Prop up the 25lb loaded deadlift barbell using two (or four) 45lb plates spaced 6 or 7 feet apart. Look up ‘block pulls’ … similar effect.
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️
Zerchers give me a crazy lower back pump
We were also so very sad that our gyms closed 😭
Are you from Canada?
I lost my butt as well when i had my baby a year ago. Why does this happen?
The creaking of the knees went away jogging I am 50 years old, greetings

Is the Spanish squat a replacement for a sissy squat?
I'd recommend replacing a sissy squat with bodyweight leg extension where shins are on the floor. If you'd like a gif to demonstrate that, message Strong Strong Friends on Instagram and they'll send you one!
@@Megsquats Thanks Meg!
I also lost my butt both times I was pregnant, it’s not just you lol
