I'm totally fascinated by making your own artisanal hotdogs, and then putting Velveeta on top.
I've changed my mind after rewatching. I think melting cheddar in with the Velveeta will definitely help add some much needed sharpness. This blend of cheese is acceptable

This felt like a proper classic Babish episode, and I really loved it! And on the note of sausages, I know a really great up and coming channel run by an ordinary guy who makes sausages in nearly every episode!

I don't know why I expected the sausage making segment to be interrupted by a no-music, sudden cut to Mr. "Ordinary" Sausage, The Man Himself, slamming the door open to Babish's studio and loudly announce "WHO HERE'S WALKIN' ALL OVER MY TURF!?" before cutting back to normal perspective BWB, the two of them talk for a couple of seconds and we get the crossover episode we Ordinary Sausage fans have been begging for.

I absolutely adore every new show that this channel puts out, and everyone who has participated in the BCU for any amount of time has been unequivocally phenomenal. None of that changes the fact that there will always be something to be said for the magical original format of Binging with Babish. I will never tire of episodes like these, and I suspect I speak for many of us who were here in the early days (and there's nothing wrong with having discovered this incredible channel more recently! It amazes me Babish has never tried to make "The Clogger" from The Simpsons Movie. He's done so many other Simpsons/Animated ones, and that could be a fun one. It's described as the greasiest burger in America, I'd be interested to see what he comes up with.
He'd probably get raided by the US Government for having oil on it.
Andy, a little tip, don't leave your meat on paper towels to drain, it will pick up the flavor of the paper towels. Instead put it in a strainer over a bowl and let the juice drain into the bowl instead. I do that whenever I make taco meat and it makes for a MUCH better flavored meat when you aren't tasting the funk of the paper.

When I used to make this sort of thing for my nephews we'd call it "Stoner Munchies." I love that you're giving me new ideas for my favorite past time, because I've never watched most of these shows.
When Babish said it'd be suitable for a sugar craving kid, my wife was like, "dude, *I'd* eat that" and we're both stoners so this fits the bill for sure 😂

Hotdogs are typically removed from their casing. Commercial dogs are produced using cellulose casing that is basically the same material as camera film.

I do the same thing but make it into a burrito instead. If only because it's much easier to eat when you simply cut the hotdog in half and lay the halves beside eachother and layer the fillings in.

One time I was super darn hungry and I had pizza on my mind. So I made pizza, and before it was done I put on a can of my absolute favorite super spicy chili and boiled most of the moisture off along with adding more hot sauce and more cheese to the chili. Added that as my pizza topping, as well as pepperoni and my gosh, it was insane. The chili cooked into the sauce creating a harmony between two countries, I know it it was probably the best thing I've ever tasted

Foot-long taco dog can be done without cutting down the tortilla by just putting cheese in the areas that are folded over when you bring two opposing edges to the middle.
Bake to melt the cheese and solidify shape and remove water.
Then deep fry to the desired amount of crispiness.
The result is less waste with more filing retention and more structural integrity along its length as this is a 'foot long' not an itty bitty taco.. Other mixed stuff can be put in the folded compartments of course.
Anyone else waiting for the “more on that later” Chipotle story?
