  • Macacao is an amazing progression to get you used to more acrobatic, flipping motions and is also a really cool trick on its own!
    It's versatility in it's landing position makes it an Ideal transition even at high levels of tricking.
    In this tutorial I go over the best method to get your Macacao in my opinion using two different progressions!

    Dude this was super helpful!! Loved the clock analogy and the common mistakes section was very instructive (rather than just like pulling your shirt off and doing it perfect for the camera a million times lol). You’re helping me achieve my newest quarantine goal haha 😆 thanks!!

    I found you from Sensei Seths Video, which was awesome! I loved jumping around ass a kid(simple stuff like cartwheels, handsprings, rolling on the ground) my best move has always been a kippup but my second move was a lazy Macacao(I just learned that it had a name). After this video I was pulling some beautiful ones super quick. Looking at my landing and using the not planted arm to help get some extra power were super helpful to me. You earned yourself a new subscriber!

    Could you do one about training a backflip without a foam pit? I know at some point I just have to send it. But if there's anything else I should learn, i'd be interested in learning.

    Does your body need to be flexible and balance to able to learn this flip?

    I found your tutorials yesterday and immedietly subbed and bookmarked your cheat gainer video. I want to try the macacao method but I've had a problem for a long while where I can't take off from two feet at the same time, but it's my right leg that leads. Should I try to relearn it with the scoot method?

    • @ZakFerguson
      @ZakFerguson  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks so much!! Yeah I would definitely recommend that just in general, because if you do the scoot method, it forces you to invert and arch more.
      However, for cheat gainer you land on your right leg if you twist left, so you can land your macacao land on the right leg.
      But ALSO, you only need to catch like a macacao. So if you swing and can catch like a macacao, that's all you need really.
      I hope that helps!
