    The biggest reason why sailer moon is really good for teaching raiz is because it teaches you to keep your chest low during the take off

  • @waterbottlethatalsolikesme1670

    This actually made me realize a tip from him, since he said to go farther out on a td raiz, this might really help dude

    This change of perspective is exactly what I needed to make sense of TDR.
    I previously jumped into the deep end and my 'TDR' attempts were just valdez. Hook kick is such a simple, sensical, methodology to get started and now I understand the axis/can feel the mechanism.
    Cheers. Time to put in some reps.

    yo your red shirt you wear throughout the video is dope! can i ask what it is/where to get it from?
    PS… great video too, TD raiz is one of the prettiest and smoothest tricks imo. can’t wait to learn it =)

      Hey Bro! It's a Samurai Jack shirt from Teefury!
      My wife always gets me dope shirts from them for my birthday and Christmas because she's amazing. I'm actually an affiliate with them because I think their designs are legitimately amazing. If you want to use my link I would really appreciate it! This is a link to the exact shirt: teefury.pxf.io/kjke5d
      Let me know if that's not the right one or something. Sorry for taking so long to reply!

    Cool video ! But in my opinion, the most beneficial way to learn TDR is with gumbi. This type of tdr is okay, but the technique won’t allow you to throw very diverse tricks because of its lack of vertical axis. And learning gumbi is very beneficial : it’s the basis of the raiz family. This would be my greatest advice ; just master gumbi and then take one hand off. Just watch Michael Guthrie or Alex Hunter.

      @ZakFerguson  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks for your comment but did you watch the whole video? Starting at 5:56 I said that you should probably learn "Gorilla (machine/transformer) Gumbi, Sailor Moon, Raiz, Touchdown Raiz. "
      That way you can explore all the axis' and slowly work your way up safely.
      In my almost 10 years of teaching experience I have found that most people have a huge learning curve when it comes to gumbi Because it's scarier than other raiz moves, especially for beginners. That being said, it's the first "raiz family trick" that I teach my students.

    • @quentin7165
      @quentin7165 Před 3 lety +1

      @@ZakFerguson i totally agree ! Gumbi is one of the hardest setups to master if not the hardest. Oh, and I saw the whole video ! I was just saying that to me, within all the progressions that you suggested, the most beneficial way to learn it would be out of gumbi. When I was giving the advice, I was speaking to the people that still did not learn tdr ! Of course I wouldn’t dare giving any advice to you, as you may surpass me in every moves ! Sorry if I sounded like a jerk lol.

      @@quentin7165 You didn't necessarily sound like a jerk. And I don't mind being questioned at all, but I hate it when people on CZcams in general will recommend to do something in the comments that the person said in the actual video lol. Or will say something like "you didn't mention this" but they actually did 😂.
      My ethos is kind of: learn a trick however you can, and then clean it up and make it the way you want it. Because it won't be perfect until you put thousands of reps into it anyway.
      That's why I always teach from a "there are many paths to the same place" mindset 😁.
      Either way it's no worries man. I just wanted to be clear on what you were saying haha.

      @ZakFerguson  Před 4 lety

      Ozzux Yeah definitely. I'm trying to stick to butterfly tricks but I keep getting requests so it will be Bkick, then GMS, then master scoot I guess haha. Thanks 🙏🏻 I love Master scoot.
