  • Cheat gainer is the first flip I learned WITHOUT having a backflip.
Watch me learn and progress my gainer over the course of 2 years and counting. Still working towards that perfect gainer flash.
Leave a comment if you have any questions about the cheat gainer. Happy to help :)

Love this video, so honest. I'm trying to learn this right now and everyone else makes it look possible in one session. Now I feel more inspired as I know it's supposed to take work! Thanks

Seeing this helps, felt like i should just know how to kick into tricks but seeing this shows that its not intuitive and has to be developed, good on you for ignoring the doctor, they would suggest we do nothing and hide in our rooms if they thought wed take that advice

Great to hear. Our bodies are definitely not used to this kind of movement so it will take time to build confidence. As for the doc, he had good intentions but they typically will dissuade you from surgery and lean towards pain management when possible. But for me, the pain was causing fear I couldn't even bear weight properly.

Thanks a lot. I'm currently injured on my fingers and I can't climb. So I started calisthenics and also looked into some movement tricks. So much videos saying "yeah it's easy blabla", and started it this morning, and I looked like you at the start of your video 🤣😂
Thanks for your inspiring video ! Hope you are not injured anymore!

Thanks I'm doing better now! Tricks are easier for some than others, but generally not easy for most people 😂 If you can use the climbing floor you could potentially learn a lot faster.

Good job bro, keep it up. Cheat 900 is a bitch of a trick and surprisingly dangerous. I'm glad you didn't listrn to the doc and got back to it

Ive been trying to learn it since 2018 but was too scared to commit since the only place i can practice on is concrete but today i decided to just go for it. I kinda can do it but my kicking leg keeps being tucked for some reason 😭

    • @linversion
      @linversion  Před 8 měsíci

Your body just wants to keep you safe 😂 Keep practicing and you'll get it. Straighten the leg for a more powerful swing and maintain it midair, but make sure it's a little bent for landing especially since you're training on concrete.

What injury did you have? How long did it take to heal and what rehab did you do? Why did the doctor say you should give up this sport (considering you're so young and able to recover well)?
Backflip training fucked up both my ankles. It's just too much pressure and impact when landing if I don't make it around properly.
Awesome progression video and congratz to your well deserved trick, I admire your courage and dedication to just go out on the grass by yourself!

A bit of a weird injury - I've had an osteochondroma (benign bone tumor) on my right leg since I was a kid. One time I landed and felt a crack and lots of pain on the outside of my knee.
Doctor said it was inflammation of the extra bone rubbing against nearby tendons, and that I should avoid high-impact, repetitive stress sports altogether. Even though it got a little better with rest in the short term, I was scared to put weight on the leg and essentially limped around for a couple of months until I finally decided to get it removed.
I was back to throwing light tricks in about 2.5 months after the surgery. Rehab was simple leg strengthening as my right leg was noticeably atrophied. Even now, there is still pain if I go too hard. My right leg is not back up to full strength since I've not been consistent with leg day.
Yeah backflips are a ton of landing impact. I've been backflipping for a year and the impact is still extremely noticeable since my technique is not perfect.
      Thanks for the support!

@@linversion Thank you for the detailed answer! Oh yea that sounds like a rather uncommon injury. I'm you'll be able to deal with it and it won't hold you back!
