  • Auron MacIntyre - On the Failures of Neutrality, Requirements of Patronage, and Future of a Broken America
Auron MacIntyre, popular CZcamsr, podcaster, and columnist for The Blaze, joins the podcast to talk about the origin story of wokeness and how the center-Left's concept of neutrality cannot hold back the revolution. Auron and Inez also discuss the critical issue of patronage and how the Right might build as powerful a patronage network for its friends and supporters as the Left has for theirs, as well as what the future might hold for a country with two diametrically-opposed notions of the good within its borders.
High Noon is an intellectual download featuring conversations that make possible a free society. The podcast features interesting thinkers from all parts of the political spectrum to discuss the most controversial subjects of the day in a way that hopes to advance our common American future. Hosted by Inez Stepman of Independent Women’s Forum.

This was part of the battle...The managerial class won. They are almost victorious. The only respite will be a Caesar. Nothing however will restore the old class order. Hope is cowardice.

On the issue of planes falling out of the sky because of wokeness. This is an area where AI and robots will greatly help woke efforts to replace skilled workers with a quota hire. Who needs a skilled pilot when the planes can land themselves? AI will never completely replace humans in these types of jobs in case of emergencies, but as long as the AI functions well enough that it can keep crashes relatively rare, then the idea of hiring the most skilled person for the job goes out the window and completely opens up the position to a quota hire.
The left is already coming up with ways that AI can be used to benefit their patronage network. They will ensure all of the lost jobs only effect the Right.

AI is a good stop gap measure but even the general incompetence of it's training data will eventually break it down over time.

@@treesurgeon2441 One part of it that I didn't consider is this: What happens when AI created content eventually ends up in the training data itself?
I have to assume that as training data, AI content is at best, useless for training AI, and at worst, actively detrimental.
Its probably going to end up being like a copy of a copy of a copy type situation, where eventually the vast majority of training data will be made up of AI created content, and as a result, the AIs themselves are incapable of producing anything other than gibberish.

Religious diversity is the ‘least controversial?’ Maybe if you just mean that everyone concedes that it exists - but I assure you, plenty of us are not wedded to it, nor indeed thrilled by it. Conversion by gentle means and tight screws on immigration would be fine for lots of us.

I like Auron and his podcasts, including The Distributist, Academic Agent, and of course Carl Benjamin, but this one in particular is doomer porn. I'm not sure where I fall in the "does communism come from liberalism" debate taking place now, but this podcast starts from "nothing is getting better for a long time" and working out why. I see more people then I ever have in my 40ish years on earth waking up to all sorts of government corruption, the realization of the perpetuity of elites (and the fact that our current crop are decidedly terrible), corporate media manipulation, manipulation of fiat currency, etc. I'm not just seeing this in my friend circle either. I see it in some form with almost every person I talk to. The reason the left had been so successful is because they crawled their ideology under the radar for the better part of 70 years. Passing along ideology works a lot like passing off inheritance, second in line may be just slightly worse at the walk, but we've gotten to a point where it's so sloppily done that almost anyone can see it. One thing is for sure, don't expect a bunch of people that think the future is going to be worse to actually be the ones to fix the problems.

This conversation missed the mark a bit. The changes in the 90s were a symptom, not a cause. We are in a class war.
