Hi there. You’ve reached the bottom. :) Thank you for watching!
I'm very touched by Angela's take on all this. Not only has she responded to unspeakable tragedy by selflessly giving to others, but when her generosity is abused, she chose to forgive. Of course, Carlee should face consequences, but I think the real story here is that Angela's type of kindness and goodness still exists in this world. The news is so full of horrors that it's truly amazing to see how one person, who more than any other has earned the right to focus on the negative, is truly a light shining in the dark.
I really admired her too.
I hope this doesn’t stop her cause. Total slap in the face to her, real victims, and their families.
Yes! Thank you for using this opportunity to share actual missing persons. With all of the attention surrounding this hoax, it was wonderful that this creator chose to spread the word about these young people who truly need help ❤️ Angela is such a beautiful soul. I admire her courage and strength. She's a hero, and I know her daughter is loving and cheering her on from heaven 💕
What a lovely comment. Angela is an amazing woman and this is a worthy tribute to her and people like her. Thanks @ellicel
The world doesn't deserve Angela.
OK but how do you see somebody being forced into a car against their will and not call 911??
Really! I’m disgusted. How hard is it to call 911?
Like! That's so cruel
Lazy people, victim "asking for it," "not my problem mind your business" bla bla
@@tinaye8638z
rupaul wrote in a book of his that he saw a swimmer drowning, thought about calling 911, then said “the best thing i can do is pray for him” and didn’t call. some people just be like that.
In Aniah's case, everyone needs to be reminded of this: If you see something, say something. It could save someone's life.
I can't believe that person didn't call...heartbreaking
@@tizzynerdsadly I've experienced similar. Back in 2017, I was publicly assaulted just up the road from my home. It was on a busy main road with lots of cars driving past at the time, and there was a pedestrian witness on the other side of the road. I know she definitely witnessed the attack because I saw her looking at me. Not one person checked if I was OK or even bothered to contact the police. Not one.
@@sophiedrewery1183 I am so incredibly sorry that happened to you Sophie :(
@@sophiedrewery1183that’s absolutely disgusting. I’m so glad you survived the ordeal. You’re mostly definitely a strong person! Sadly, there’s times where we can trust the people around to save us and I’ve also felt that in a similar way. At least we know that we will always call in when we see something suspicious as it can potently save someone’s life
Don't study psychology
I don't get it...Carlee had money; she could've simply gave herself a vacation if she wanted a break from her job and self-heal from the heartbreak of being cheated on. She didn't have to do this!
Narcissistic tendencies maybe?
Mental illnesses are rampant in the black community, from the young to the old
some people just need the attention, its disgusting
Thank you! At my grown age there was a lot of push back telling my folks I was going away for the weekend for healing and self care. And guess what I still dipped cuz my mission of letting them know Im taking time for myself was completed whether they liked it or not they knew what I was on! That's literally all it takes, she didn't have to do all of this.
She also didn’t need to steal from her employer (spa robe, money etc.) either. She seems pretty selfish/entitled. For some people there is a real thrill in ‘duping’ (tricking, stealing, cheating) it’s about getting away with the deceit as if they are the smartest ones in the room, that is their payoff.
This wasn’t mental health issues this was entitlement and a big ego
Yep
Honestly, think her ego was a mental health crisis and she’s not the only one. Social media induced narcissism is a public health crisis everywhere now. It’s produced a generation of navel gazing sociopaths and I say that as someone who grew up with social media.
Definitely
Mental health issues and entitlement/ego presentation aren't mutually exclusive.
@@advocacynaccountablity no of course not, but she’s suffering from a horribly inflated ego and sense of entitlement to do all that.
A lot of people in the comments seem convinced that Carlee must have had mental health issues and that's a trend I've noticed is becoming more common in the comments of a lot of videos.
Honestly, I don't think there's any evidence of mental health issues in this case. There's lots of evidence of an entitled, narcissist who behaved appallingly though. One of the side effects of the social media age is that people like Carlee, despite having no discernible talent, feel like they deserve to be famous and, as this festers inside them, they actually become resentful of having to do things like work a regular job.
The irony is she actually seems to have been quite pampered considering she was on her second Mercedes Benz at the age of 25 and we know at least one of those cars was a gift!
You know they can be the symptoms of some kinds of mental illness?
Facts! 💯 about today in the social media age. However, I’m one of those people that believes Carlee to have some mental illness going on. Remember, Narcissism is a mental disorder as well.😉 Great comment!
~Blessings~😊🫶🏾✌🏾
Totally. The mom is feeding that entitlement and narcissism
Thankfully mental illness isn’t a pass in our legal system by any stretch. People w/ zero empathy are psychopaths & cannot be reformed.
Yeah, I don’t think she has mental health issues, she just wanted attention. I mean, getting a Mercedes for graduating high school!? You, my dear, have everyone’s attention!!
We cannot keep blaming this on mental issues yall! She was aware of what she was doing. We know what she was searching on google. She’s not insane, she just wanted attention.
Edit: y’all was referring to the people who are blaming what she did on mental health issues. See below comments!
Mmm hmmm what evidence is there she had mental issues prior to this case? Suddenly she has these problems and needs compassion. She's a grown woman who did a stupid thing. Facing consequences of that is not a bad thing. Her mugshot just topped it off for me. Girl is crazy but not in a clinical way
@@mamacito1795I agree. I hope she faces jail time, fines (including restitution for the tax payers), publicly apologizes to everyone who was searching for her and she doesn’t get to be a nurse. She ruined her own life with her dumb games. I never believed her story to begin with.
Who is “yall”. I see most people saying it’s not mental issues, so you don’t exactly have the unpopular opinion here. Frankly, mental issues can be the reason, but it doesn’t mean it’s the excuse. Mental issues doesn’t have to be “insanity” as most people think about it.
She's a delusional, attention seeking, brat. This the same girl that said she looks a mixture of Rihanna and Beyonce 😂😂
@@mamacito1795I would've slapped that smile off of her face fr
I think Carlee's personality before this kidnapping thing says it all. There's no mental health issues here. She is very self centered, thinks she's the queen of the world, and she wanted to get back at people she felt wronged her, make them hurt and miss her and realize what they were missing out on by wronging her. That's the mentality a child has. No different than when you send your 7 year old to their room and then they get the bright idea to run away and hide in the treehouse in the backyard, to make you worry and miss them and realize that sending them to their room was a horrible thing to do.
What you just described does kind of sound like NPD, but the thing about pleading insanity is it means you get diverted to a treatment facility until they can sign off that you're no longer a public risk. For psychosis or bipolar it's pretty easy - you just need to find meds so they don't detach from reality again. But personality disorders like NPD are considered extremely treatment resistant especially in criminal contexts. So it would be an argument she needs to be treated harsher because of her high likelihoods of recidivism, not lighter.
This was exactly my thought. She acted like a a child who “runs away from home” to make their family suffer. Meanwhile there at the bottom of the driveway. Or as most children think some point in their life “if I were dead, then they’ll be sorry”.
She is immature, self centered, selfish, child, who thought way too high of herself. Her posts alone tells me everything I need to know. Her captions are vile and cringe. posting provocative next to a car is not “classy”.
It makes me sad because she seemed like an educated women who would’ve had great success and could’ve been a positive member of society.
@@ruminationstation4200 but she probably doesn't have a high likelihood of recidivism. Why would she pull this stunt again?
@@alex-qd6ofdoes not have to be this exact stunt, can be something even worse
Kinda hard to say all that if you don't know her personally
Thank you for highlighting legitimate missing people, whose families are desperate for the time and resources Carlee's evil stunt received. I hope Angela doesn't stop her good work, we need more people like her.
Agree totally
Ya, that just really drove the point home of how disgusting her actions really were/are
even though the motivations behind carlee's initial plan may have been selfish, i do think the video highlights the opportunity that her stunt has created-- to actually center missing people! the video asked if i believe she can redeem herself; i personally believe she can. now that carlee has some kind of notoriety and name recognition that she wanted, perhaps she will use her "fame" to help other missing black women, or at least raise awareness of their existence and needs. in a way i feel her actions have already done this.
I completely agree!
Duuuude those almost made me cry 😭 after those three cases, she asked a question and I say: the only way to right this wrong is to dedicate the rest of her life to help find missing black women. Just those THREE stories are absolutely heartbreaking and there are sooooo many more out there 😔💔 I think she needs to get a degree (I’m not sure what kind exactly) that will get her into a career to assist in finding these women, for the rest of her life. IMO, that’s the only way to make things right. She wasted PRECIOUS time and resources of sooo many people and organizations. Now she needs to put that time back ten fold.
Angela had to relive her daughter's disappearance all over again. Hearing her say she was so glad Carlee was found alive because she thought she wasn't really says a lot about how much it affected her. I can't imagine the slew of emotions going through her mind when the search was going on.
Listening to Angela speak was heartbreaking. I can’t imagine why someone would witness a young lady being abducted and wouldn’t report it to the police.
... because strong independent females dont need the help of evil men. You dont seem to understand that you are on your own now. Good luck.
Too many people make excuses about how they don't know the situation and it's not their business smdh
I hope the individual who didn’t call the police is haunted by their irresponsibility
Regarding the three missing-persons cases you talked about, how can police tell families to wait a while before reporting their loved ones missing when they’re the same people who criticize people who wait to file a report? 🤦🏾♂️
Consistency? Pfft! What's that?
E X A C T L Y
I was thinking of the horror of those parents being told their missing daughter was being treated as a runaway despite her never having done so.
If my happy, social, generous, hard working 18 year old son, who is so good at letting me know what he's up to and whether or not he'll be home, went missing I'd know 100% he had not run away.
@@It-is-me...Melsie Agreed. Sadly the police worldwide don't take missing people as seriously as they should, and pay no heed half the time to parents, friends, etc who point out that running away would be completely out of character. Especially true, sadly, when you're talking about BIPOC folks, those from lower incomes or poorer areas, etc. And while missing women (at least attractive, young, white ones) are more likely to get media attention, missing men are significantly more likely to be labelled as high risk than missing women, for some reason - at least in the UK. Nobody should have to go through being told that it hasn't been long enough - and in many places, that's not even a rule. The fact that anyone should have to hassle the police to do their damn jobs (or do it themselves) is abhorrent... as is the fact that in the US, the SCOTUS has determined that the police do not, in fact, have to either protect OR serve.
Without evidence of previous attempts of running away or suddenly disappearing for days at a time, the police should listen to the parents when they say this is not her personality and there's no signs that she wanted to leave. I mean a young woman leaving without her phone or charger is an immediate red flag these days. Clearly she wasn't planning on going far.
The person who saw her forced into a car and did nothing is a person I would not want to know. Disgusting not to get plate number and call asap.
👏🏻 thank you for covering ACTUAL missing black women who wouldn’t get the attention they need and deserve!
I hope this doesn’t give society a reason to give missing WOC/POC even less attention/ action. But we know how it is sadly…
This is the whole embodiment of why what she did was so nasty. Dumb bish has no idea what she just did.
I agree. It’s funny how God works. I was about to post to let the content creator know how I love how she put this video together. She commented that because of what Carlee has done, it would make it harder for real missing POC/WOC to get help (not exact words, but as I understood). And I thought, why are people saying it makes it harder on POC/WOC? (it's not the first time I heard or read a comment stating the same thing). I thought the statement should have been missing women and children, period. God comes in, and I guess he said let me open this woman’s eyes to what the content creator is trying to get across to her audience lol. Because I sat down and opened the comments, I usually start from top to bottom. I don't know why my eyes went straight to your comment, but it did. After reading it, God did the rest because I truly understood. It’s not her opinion or anyone else’s opinion about the FACT that she stated in her video. It’s what it is. It’s how it has been, and because of Carlee’s foolishness could be worse, unfortunately. Thank you for your comment.🙏🏾 Sometimes, we make a difference in someone’s life or way of thinking about something without knowing it. Have an excellent rest of your weekend.🥰
To the content creator, if you’re reading this, thank you. The video was well-put-together.🥰🙏🏾

No one cares about her color people were concerned for her and the baby not about her color
A mistake is wearing the wrong type of outfit to a specific event this was intentional. She should have to reimburse all agencies for the resources expended on the search for her idiotic intentional stunt!
That’s my thing. She planned this, it wasn’t a spur of the moment, mental break situation, it was planned. She researched crap for days beforehand. She knew exactly what she was doing.
When I was like 11-12, me and my cousins called 911 and pretended that we was being chased, but we was actual kids, and didn’t disappear for days. Should we have faced some consequences? Absolutely, if I was my child, there would have been some punishment, but this was before cell phones, so it was from a pay phone, in Little Rock Ark, they wasn’t too concerned I don’t think, and luckily our parents never found out 😂
She should go to jail or at least be on probation. What she did is criminal. She knowingly and intentionally committed a crime
What the fuck is ever wrong with people
@ruminationstation4200 She ought to go to prison and later be on parole. She ought to have to pay back about a million dollars for all the helicopter fuel and paychecks of searchers from many departments.

Angela must have been absolutely sick over the parallels between both their daughter's cases. I feel so bad for her and I admire her for immediately digging in and doing everything she could to help Carlee and her family. Shame on Carlee for letting anyone believe for even a moment that she was in danger.

@pacha7977 That comment was unnecessary. What Carlee did is in no way a common thing. Did you say the same thing about Sherri Papini when she faked her kidnapping?
She's not insane. She premeditated everything.
She had a degree in psychology. She doesn't have mental issues, she planned all this down to the smallest detail for attention; she's a narcissist.
And still got it wrong. A degree don’t mean a damn thing 😂
Except being a narcissist is considered having a mental issue.
@@queenebonyit depends on if she planned the whole thing or if she really had a mental break down. If she got a good lawyer they could sell it as a case of insanity
Carlee Russell has no mental issues. She’s just a selfish entitled brat. Just the fact that this mother (who lost her daughter) was out there helping, should be enough for Carlee to get jail time. She wasted so much resources on a lie.
Oh, are you a psychologist that’s personally evaluated her after her disappearance? No? Oh, well you can’t say there’s no mental health issues. No one is saying a mental health issue is an excuse, they’re just saying it’s a reason.
@@jaybee4118well, internet search prove otherwise. 😅
That depends. Sounds like Borderline Personality Disorder.
Yes, her mental disorder is called entitlement. You don't need to be an

She could be a brat and have mental health issues.
I think juxtaposing the case of Aniah and Angela's fight for justice was a great way to frame this. She is a woman who tries to help legitimate victims and the Carlee comes along and has those resources wasted because she wants attention.
There are so many women out there who need the help to be found, so many struggling families and Carlee stopped them from getting help. She needs to be punished.
Not just women, but women of color. Indigenous women. It’s as if LEO don’t take them seriously to begin with and then you have someone do something so disrespectful to those ppl who were missing and those who are still missing as well as their families.
@@mjallen1308yup, and all the racist trolls came out of the woodwork on this case. Women of color will die in the future because racist cops will take it even less seriously now.
I just love how this began, focused on Aniah, focused on the charity. So well done.
As someone from Alabama, about 45 minutes away from where this happened, I’m glad to see this get some more coverage about how ridiculous Carlee’s whole story is.. The moment I heard that she showed up two days after going missing, my first thought was “This girl pulled a Sherri Papini” and it made me so frustrated that our funds were being used for nothing. It also tracks that she’s so spoiled and went to Spain Park in high school; it’s notorious for having a bunch of spoiled kids come from their campus. It’s known as “the university of Spain park” by a lot of the schools around here because of how huge and extravagant the grounds look, making it rival a college’s campus.
She should be slapped with a civil suit that her parents should not bail her out of. She should go to jail for six months, then have three years worth of community service working with kids. And she should not be allowed on social media during this time.
👍
Thanks for the portrayal of Aniah Blanchard's mom at the top of the video. I knew very little about the work she does now. What an awesome woman.
My Aunt Danica Child’s went missing in 2005, she is still gone and my family still hurts everyday and the pain is still here. The emotional pain becomes a part of you when you do not know where a loved one is. It is a weight that NEVER leaves your shoulders. It is actually so shameful to lie about missing people/abducted people. Thank you for representing a real family bc it is nothing that SHOULD EVER BE LIED ABOUT. There are real victims and families out here that need support.
You dont post often...but when you do... its a GREAT day!! You were my intro to the antimlm world (mary kay interview) love you!!
I don't think anyone would ever trust her again
Yeah, good luck to her with that BA in psychology
I can't imagine voluntarily putting my parents, siblings and friends through this? How disgustingly selfish.
She needs to start paying that charity back ASAP.
False reports need to have greater consequences imo
As someone who has more mental illnesses than I can keep track of, some people are just entitled scammers. And if it is a mental issue, there is just some things it doesn’t excuse. Like murder.
Why do so many "influencers" seem to feel entitled to lie and deceive? It's not only Carlee, it seems to be a common thread in ALL of them. Their obsession with attention is really disgusting …

Angela needs to sue Carlee and her enabling parents for emotional and mental distress. This woman came right to Carlee's aid and her cause, knowing women of color don't often receive the attention they deserve when missing. She was right there, giving her time and energy and the whole thing was a hoax. She needs to take it to court

All of her videos are like this so good!!!
A reminder to all teens and people in general, if you plan to sneak out especially at night, just tell someone or write a note to where your going and with who. Getting told of really isn’t that bad, because it’s better to be safe then sorry.
My mum always told me that sneaking out is not worth it and if something happens to me that she would never forgive herself for not knowing where I was going. Being rebellious is not worth it, you love your family so don’t cause them unnecessary worry and harm.

I immediately thought of that sweet soul that left us in 2019. We live very close to Auburn AL so it hit home and I was distressed that we were repeating the same story again but noooooooo not even close. Carlee needs to be held accountable because she knew exactly what she was doing.

From a family of nurses, firefighters, and police here-don’t pretend to know Carlee’s mental issues, but my sister (veteran decorated detective) called this as a BS hoax on Day 1. Thank you for your amazing coverage! I think it is wonderful focusing on Angela in the beginning. What she did for the Russell family is incredible, and her forgiveness just truly shows her character. Thank you for including missing women that were not as known. Best video on this case that I have seen so far ❤
I was waiting on you to cover this. I saw the notification and stopped reading my book and immediately came to CZcams. I know that you have taken your time to get correct information.
I will never understand why Carlee would make this up and put her family through the trama of thinking she was missing. Now her future is ruined because you wanted some attention. I'm glad she was charged, now Darker needs to be made to return the money that was donated. She also should be made to return the money that police used to used to look for her.
Now she made it harder for the families that have missing family members. I hope that other police departments look at how the Hoover police handled this case was handled and apply it with finding the missing. This was unecessary; I'm glad she is alive but what she did was not a "mistake". Thank you Hoover police Department for putting all the effort into " finding " Carlee. There needs to be stronger Repercussions and charges when a false police report is made.
Thank you so much for including the information about the still missing women. My heart breaks for their families, and I pray they are found soon. I’m glad you turned this stupid hoax situation into something that can possibly help people for real.
Crazy how often Aurora, Colorado comes up in True Crime. It must be a Bermuda Triangle of some sort!
Carlee obviously needs mental help. The reward money of $60,000 should go to Angela for her hard work and to help her organization. Carlee should have to work to pay back the reward money and get mandated counseling.
Undiagnosed mental illness is rampant in the black community, especially with young and old women
Borderline, histrionic and narcissistic personality disorders are very difficult to treat. The person has to think they need to change. Most see nothing wrong with themselves.
Yes! This is a great idea!❤
@@TawnyC_that goes for all. cluster b personality disorders have limited licensed treatments which creates insane difficulty in getting help
No needs to be refunded
Narcissists thrive on attention, its their oxygen. It doesn't even have to be good attention all the time as long they are getting attention. I hope she discontinues nursing, she would never put patients before herself.
I don’t know if any hospital would hire her anyway
They wouldn’t want the publicity
Hearing Angela Harris talk is just heartbreaking. She and Anaia didn't deserve this. Angela didn't deserve to be messed around by a grifter. 🥺❤
Love your videos. Very informative and well put together.
After listening to this… Carlee sounds like she is a attention seeking self entitled person!!!! Very selfish SMH
Maybe this has ended her future career in mental health.
Imagine her as your psychologist, may the gods forbid! 😮
Agree, no board in the world would give her a license, especially for nursing!!
Raise hell if the police don't allow you to report your child missing immediately. Not so much hell that you get arrested, but let them know that you will be contacting a lawyer and the media. The odds for finding someone alive decrease exponentially the more time goes by, don't let them allow any valuable time to be lost.
Aniah was a beautiful young woman. May she rest in peace.❤️
The first time the media and law enforcement really invest in searching for a missing black woman and she’s playing.
my blood boils for angela. this woman essentially had to relive the trauma of losing her daughter, put all her effort into helping carlee's family avoid the same fate, just for it to be a hoax. she deserves so much better
Been waiting for this!
Yesss, me too!!
THANK YOU for highlighting black women who ARE missing!❤
How in the world could someone see a girl being forced into a car and not call police? I hope guilt and regret is their only companion.
Thank you for shedding ligjt on someone who actually deserves for the world to know her story. RIP ANIYA
Finally, someone I can trust talks about this!
I think I was very sympathetic prior to this video. It disturbs me to hear parents talk about monitoring and tracking their children more closely as a result of cases like this, and folks seem extremely quick to armchair diagnose Carlee herself (as if a diagnosis would actually address anything happening here lol). But seeing her mother trying to process this miraculous resolution to this horrible event, and imagining what she went through; knowing Carlee was on social media posting about her "enemies" not long after REALLY turned me around. She must be a nightmare to live with, whatever her problem is. Amazing video, this is not a funny situation but some of your edits rly made me laugh.
Thank you for another well made video. Can anyone tell me why the police tells the families of missing people to wait to report them? The 3 women that actually are missing; Lashya, a good student that never had been running away from home before, had a plan and a future. Cierra, a mother. No need for anything more. Sacoya, a transgender woman, vulnerable just bc of her sexual identity.
I don’t get it why the police wants to wait! I don’t live in the USA so that’s why I’m asking…
Considering they are over the age of 18, it is not a crime to disappear and not want to speak to family. The police tells the families to wait in hopes the person will come back within 48hrs
Yes, I just said the same in another post!
The horror of those parents being told their missing daughter was being treated as a runaway despite her never having done so.
If my 18 year old son, who is so good at letting me know what he's up to and whether or not he'll be home, went missing I'd know 100% he had not run away. I'd be beside myself with worry, and I don't even want to imagine.
they are lazy. if it isn't high profile or personal, most of them do not care. a lot of the time they will operate under the assumption that the family is being "dramatic", especially if they aren't white. Our police will save their own kids but handcuff and pepper spray other parents before letting them do the same. They get busted *CONSTANTLY* for having warehouses of evidence they never do anything with. They are militarized bullies and their job is to enforce the current social system. Not stop crime or protect.
