New Lancia Stratos Sound!

- I have filmed the magnificent 2010 Lancia Stratos, a one-off supercar made to celebrate the old glorious Lancia Stratos. The car has been commissioned by Michael Stoschek and developed by Pininfarina. The base used to build the car was the Ferrari 430 Scuderia, including many mechanical components such as the chassis, gearbox and the 4.3L V8 engine tuned up to 532bhp.
The New Stratos weighs 1,247 kg (2,749 lb) and is claimed to accelerate to 62 mph in 3.3 seconds and on to a top speed close to 200 mph (320 km/h). While shorter than its donor car, the New Stratos is a little larger than the original Stratos, with a length of 4,181 mm (164.61 in), 1,971 mm (77.60 in) wide and 1,240 mm (48.82 in) tall.

Lancia is bankrupt. Lets hope a chinese group buy them and let those crazy dreams become true. But, at least, I would prefere a reasonable stratos. Not an expensive supercar for the 1%. If this car came by 30 grands, it will be a hot seller.
Not so much bankrupt but neglected by parent company FIAT. I personally blame Sergio Marchione for this.
the new sounds too clean for me, i prefer the old model, its sound is more angry, more badass
not to mention new one looks bit fiat like :S (nose that is)
+Albert Baaren Part of that is because it doesn't have the slats, ridges and louvres of the old one. Plus the integrated headlights, instead of pop-ups.
+Delta 9 2 Foxtrot there were not so many restrictions back then to make the car more environmentally clean, you can still get aftermarket exhaust

they were racecars so no sound omologation needed this was an attemp to revive the stratos as a road car that unfortunatelly failed it's actually a ferrary f450 hevily modified. it's a shame put there is no place for a stratos the closest thing you can have is a lotus or a alfa 4c
This car should have gone into production. I bet you they could offer it for around the same price as other 2 seater sports
cars easily. they'd have to change the power plant of course, but hell, a turbo 4 would be awesome for this car.
+MrMatte0000 Ferrari blocked the production of any more of these being made. They specifically forbade Pininfarina from doing so and Pininfarina caved so as not to risk their business relationship with Ferrari.

You dont have to hate Ferrari, you have to hate fiat, because it controls entire italian car industry, ferrari ,maserati, lancia alfa romeo, and now fiat is fca, so its a joint venture, which means that someone in other place of the world controlls entire italian car brand.
It's now in production for homologation purposes

It is a real shame that this Lancia didn't see a limited production run. It is truly a work of art. While the Ferrari engine harkens back to the old Stratos' Dino V6 engine, the V8 just didn't seem appropriate. It would be nice to see this body with a Ferrari-tuned version of Chrysler/Fiat's new Pentastar V6. After all, it was named as one of Ward's Top 10 Engines of 2012. At the very least, I hope this body shell will become available for kit cars.
i know alot of you think the front is wrong, personally i think it looks brilliant, i mean all new cars try to look agressive even the new mondeo and other mainstream cars and its like they think the only way to make a car pretty is by making it look agressive, and thats just wrong. for me this is one of the best looking cars iv`e ever seen. even better looking than the original.
The design grew on me over time, I genuinely love it ^^ If this was priced around GTR/Corvette territory, I'd get it in a heartbeat from looks alone! It's got character ^^

You can feel how the pilot of the newer version doesn't want to break his car. Meanwhile, others pilots on the older model are going sideways :D

How did I not know until now that this car existed?! O.o Looks awesome, specially from the back, though I don't think they quite nailed the front, still even though it's not as pretty as the original it's still awesome looking for a modern car.

although it's almost the same like old one, yet the old one is more futuristic ;)
