I swear they must've done it because an official roast of Ann Coulter would've been a total disaster (I mean, good luck finding even ONE person who's funny AND actually likes her), but bringing her on as part of the dais ensured that everyone would be focused on shredding her to pieces. Pretty smart strategy.
She was only there to promote her book. I wouldn't be surprised if the credits included "promotional consideration provided by" her publisher.

When i watched the Netflix roast of Tom Brady i was really looking forward to her roasting people and she did not disappoint. I think she had some of the best roasts of the show.
