Scream 4 had the best reveal. I didn't see Jill as the killer they fooled me with that one
Jill was so predictable. People said stupid crap in 2000, that Sidney should be the killer in scream 3. When people heard scream 4 was happening, same opinions demanded Sidney should still be the killer. Jill was clearly the new Sidney and her being the killer was obvious with what people were aching for.

I don't know why but i seem the only one liking the third movie
My list wuold be:
6- Scream 6,no metacinema and nothing special about it,but it is enjoyable after all I wuold give it a 7,50/10
5-Scream 2,it is a really good movie and I enjoy it so much,but it is not so "fresh" as said in the vid,I wuold give it a 8/10
4-Scream 3,a great sequel that is in line with the others,a 8/10 too
3-Screan 4,really god movie that revived my intrest in this franchise,a 8,50/10
2-Scream 5,perfect sequel,really great a 9/10
1-Scream 1,the classic one,unbeatable in my opinion,one of the greatest horror movies of all time,a 10/10

I think everyone will put Scream 1 top. I think below that there will be lots of variance because none of the Scream films are bad. Here's my list:
6: Scream 3 - weakest film overall but has the best finale of the bottom 3
5: 5cream (22) - some great stuff but the villain is too predictable and goes off the rails in the finale.
4: Scr6am VI - goes completely off the rails in the 3rd act again has 2 super predictable villains even the motive is telegraphed. But the journey there is for me a bit better than 5cream. Needs a rewatch to place this more accurately
3: Scream 2 - largely the same thoughts as Sean.
2: Scream 4 - felt like it actually took risks for me. I thought the finale was the best delivered since the original. Has aged like a fine wine.
1: Scream - basically perfect 🤷♂️
I will say one thing about Scream. I did not believe that Drew Barrymore was going to die. I had to see it for myself.
My all time favorite Scream movie is Scream 2. I know you are a huge fan of the Scream franchise. This was another solid ranking video.

Scream 2 was the 2nd worst
Loved Scream 2, almost better than the original. Darker and more detailed than the 1st and very nostalgic

I watched 1-5 a few weeks ago for the first time(and 6 2 days ago):
1. SCREAM
2. SCREAM 5(6/5/4 are pretty equal for me)
3. SCREAM 4
4. SCREAM 6(I think the reveal holds it back from place 2. )
5. SCREAM 2
6. SCREAM 3
I personally didn’t mind the reveal. Ethan was obvious, but I wasn’t expecting the others until the end.
Reveal was decent. I liked the acting. better in scream 6 than 5 though.
My personal ranking for all the movies goes in this order.
6. Scream 2
5. Scream 3
4. Scream 5
3 and 2 are a tie between Scream 6 and 4
And of course 1. is the OG Scream.

I agree with everything except 5 and 6. Switch those around. Every time I watch a scream movie, I have to watch it 2-4 times to understand all the characters names because I only listen on the important parts. I’m in the back of the theater figuring out the killer, not names.
This is a good list. I love all of them, I don’t have a least favourite because they’re all really good so it’s hard for me to rank them. Of course the original Scream is a classic and a masterpiece. I liked Scream 5 a lot, but for me, Scream 6 was a bit better than Scream 5. I really really enjoyed Scream 6. The entire movie was incredible with a good story, action and intense and brutal kills
I have watched Scream 1, 2, 5 and some of 3 but now I'm going to watch them all in order. Thanks for the idea 😊

6. Scream 3- just felt like it missed with the horror and mystery in favor of comedy
5. Scream 4- basically agreed with your analysis
4. Scream - enjoyed the original, it set the tropes for a great series
3. Scream 2- IMO better than the original, did everything a bit better
2. Scream 2022- great legacy sequel, although agreed about Deweys death, he was always my favorite character
1. Scream 6- the tension and faster pace allowed this to feel like an anxiety attack building, the respect it had for what came before, and i disagree about the third act, was grinning ear to ear as the final moments played out

There’s something about rewatchability that has me prefer it this way. If I’m going to grab a scream to watch, it won’t be the original or 5. Top 4 will rotate on the day.
I understand scream 3. They gave away the killer in the first 20 minutes.
I just got hooked on scream and watched all of them. Yes, why did they have to kill dewey. Noooooooo
David said at an interview that he wanted to get killed off and have the bloodiest death they can do for him

Scream 4 has a great killer & motive.

Scream 1 is, of course, my favorite. If Sidney was in Scream VI and if there wasn't so much plot armor towards the 3rd act, it would have been my number 1.

Hugh Grant was like "Get me out of here"
This is a good list but In my opinion, I would've done 3, 4, 2, 5, 1, and 6. But that's just my opinion. Scream 6 in 1st because I absolutely love a movie with a lot of gore, blood, and tension and scream 6 had a lot of it. I also loved how they got creative with how the characters died. The most interesting way a person died was definitely Greg, cut up in a fridge, magnificent. Ooooo!

Why does everyone have a problem with Dewey dying? The big three surviving this many movies is honestly pretty ridiculous. I'm glad the movie brought back the stakes.
Because it was a stupid death. He didn't die because he was outsmarted. He died because he walked up to someone that he knew was dangerous. He literally walked up because he knew the person was dangerous and still got so close he would die.

The phone call got him killed. Otherwise he had it in the bag. Dewey was my favourite Scream 1 survivor, but even I saw value in his death, and thought as far as deaths go, it was among the most badass in the series. I loved it.
Gale should have died in hospital during Scream 6 as well from her wounds. She passes out thinking she survived, but didn't. Would have been perfect irony for her character to go out as just another Ghostface victim to be reported on. Also adds realism because not everyone survives stab wounds. It depends on where your wounds are to be honest. And not only that, the idea of, "Ghostface," always coming back to claim all the original victims, sooner or later, as they get older n' weaker, is amazing.
Scream fans are honestly just too soft. They want too many sunshine n' rainbow moments.

I've never really been a fan of this franchise nor any of the characters except for Gale Weathers played by the fabulous, ever GOAT Courteney Cox.
Last year's movie was a total meh for me. It tried the same formula Halloween (2018) did, but failed. Dewey's death was sad, but necessary thing to have happened. When it comes down to plot armor, it's heavy duty in this franchise. Gale and Sidney could've had bigger parts to play, though. Scream 6 was surprisingly good and fresh. Extra points for Gale getting more screen time and her first official call. I can also appreciate the fact that it's not only about Sidney Prescott. Woodsboro and the new location has a ton of life. Here's my ranking of the Scream series from worst to best.

2. Scream VI - maybe its just because of “new” bias but I absolutely loved this film and love the core four just as much… if not more… than the og trio
3. Scream (2022) - perfect way to bring back the franchise.
4. Scream 4 - amazing film, only this low because i love the other three more.
5. Scream 2 - I always go back-and-forth on this one and the third for 5th/6th (i still adore them both), but on a technical term, i think this is a better film… i do think scream 3’s a little more memorable tho.
