This feels like real life. Everything is gritty, we have a bigger city aesthetic, which gives us a sense of hopelessness as the cops will not be able to arrive in time compared to a small town. The withered outfit Ghostface is wearing, the fact that Ghostface grabbed a shotgun to use as a murder weapon, the intensity, the violence, and the amount of Ghostfaces killers 👀 This is not your Granddaddy’s Scream and I love it!

Only thing that worries me is that 'there's a darkness inside of me' line. I really hope they don't try something weird or supernatural, otherwise this one looks insane. Miles better than the last.
The cops never were able to arrive in time before anyway. The only time they ever made it in time was to save Tara in 5 and that was after she had been stabbed 7 times.

The “shrine room” has outfits from past killers and victims. You can see Tatum’s outfit, Billy’s shirt, Jill’s outfit, Olivia’s shirt, etc. So the killer had access somehow to coroner’s offices or something or some sort of archive. Very creepy and interesting. And the Gale scene looks amazing! also, the scene with Sam and Tara back to back looks like they’re surrounded by ghost faces maybe? Or atleast the usual two.
That was what i was thinking, they are surrounded by two or more ghostfaces, having two again is very cliche ( i dont have a problem ) but im sure is not just one or two.

I think what's happening there is they're in the shrine room but the Main Ghostface arrived, you can see the blured image of one in the background but it's still on its stand the white isn't a mask it's like the head of the holder. I think with the lights flickering the real one is like moving in place of the fakes so they're trying to keep their eyes on all of them, like a weeping angel scenario
This Ghostface Gives me Mickey/Roman Bridger vibes.... There can't be MORE than one Ghostface Wearing Just That Old Mask... So who ever is behind that one... Is going to be hard to take down 🔥

@@megas13proto I'd argue they deviate enough while keeping the ghost face formula. Last movie took a humorous approach, constantly poking fun both at itself and other horror franchises, which was a more "fresh" viewing experience, in my opinion. This one seems to take itself more seriously with a more gritty atmosphere, with the city being suffocating and challenging to traverse while being hunted. This Ghostface seems much more brutal, seeming to really enjoy the hunting and killing itself, willing to even take out random bystanders in their path with absolutely little care.

Just got back from the theatre, that corner store scene was so intense. I hadn't watched the trailer intentionally so I didn't know what to expect, such a great film, 8.7/10
I was 17 when the OG film came out and I'm still just as hyped every time! I appreciate this "going big", but keeping a sense of continuity and self awareness that's the essence of the franchise.

I was 9 and to this day my favorite line from the first scream is "what are you doing with a cellular telephone, son?" That's literally all that made Billy a suspect 😆
The fact he was out creeping around late at night and just happened to be at Sidney's house straight after Ghostface tried turning her into a giant kebab didn't look good to be fair.

Looks really good. Looks like the unknowns can possibly act. Seeing him in the store with a shotgun and several potential random victims gave it a modern gritty type of feel. This movie might actually benefit from not having Sydney in it which can allow this plot to move forward.

This looks surprisingly promising. I was worried without Neve Campbell returning. I LOVE that we finally get to see Gale get a call from/actually SPEAK with Ghostface for the 1st time in the franchise!

She was the heart of the series and a great final girl, I’m excited for the change but other franchises have shown to decrease in quality after losing the main character (Nancy from nightmare comes to mind instantly)

People like to complain about some movies in the series but the only one that wasn't scary for me (though I wouldn't call it completely horrible) was the Emma Roberts one.

@@ryanredmond5559 Last year, Courteney Cox gave an interview regarding the 6th instalment, in which she said: "I did not die, so you'll see me. Gale's pretty strong. She may not ever [die], but who knows!" She will most likely get attacked and injured, but I don't think they'll kill her off in the next one. We'll see.

So many times killer gets knocked out by survivors. They have a chance to finish him off but instead of course they just leave him and run away.
Scream is such a comforting series. All of the films have so many things to love, and so much charm. This film seems darker, and more sinister. Ghostface is grittier and angrier. I can feel the cast simply hit it out of the ballpark with this one. Really happy to see Hayden Panettiere return as Kirby. Also really happy to see Dermott Mulroney, I think he’s a great actor. This is gonna be badass!

I believe this is a good representation of ghostface. The kills are quick, sneaky, and clever, the best part is that there’s no losing him easily. I like the confusion on the train when everyone has on the ghostface mask so they cannot tell which one it is, that was cool. I can tell in this movie ghostface isn’t going to be weak

I cannot wait for new chase scenes in this movie! The one with Mindy on a ladder looks good and I'm kinda scared for Tara a little bit. Sam is definitely going to get the respect she deserves! People were way too harsh on her but she will prove that she deserves to be a final girl!

After watching this movie - I came to applaud how well made this trailer it is! It did not give away much of the plot and hypes the movie up perfectly.
Who praises a trailer? And *what trailer* does ever give away the plot?? And it's a Scream movie we all already know the general plot and how it's going to play out in the end. It has already been established with the franchise.

If you are like me Scream is like comfort horror. I watch for the nostalgia not the scares. The perfect mix of action, comedy, and jump scares that you kinda see coming because you know someone is gonna die you just don't know who. However, this looks different, like they are handing the torch to the new generation. Still need gale to make it through alive.

Watch this one in the theatre. Man I really enjoyed this one. The score, paranoia, and suspense throughout was top notch. Riding the subway in NYC is scary alone. Seeing Ghostface on a subway was freaky. Ghostface in that corner store with a sawed off shotty, was intense.. Cracked me up when he reloads it quick.

Ghostface running around with a shotgun is cool. When I use to play as Ghostface (same voice as the films) in CoD: Cold War, I used to blast zombies with the rocket launcher. It had his classic knife and some decent guns.
The Shrine room looks incredible! Also I noticed There’s nine ghostface costumes up on stage to possibly represent the nine killers there have been in prior to scream VI (maybe they planned that? Maybe not?). i've been pausing the trailer frame by frame and it looks like they have something from every scream movie, even stuff from Windsor College! Love those additions. This movie looks both nostalgic AND refreshing at the same time...hard to do in the cinema world now a days..

This scream has a whole different tone and atmosphere to it! Gritty chilling dark creepy. Ghost face normally isn’t scary but looks terrifying and ruthless in this! Can’t wait for this! and love Gail hope she survives this one!

Definitely one of the most horrific kills in the franchise.

I just watched this movie on netflix it was so so cool i regomend this movie!
I love the tension in some of these scenes. The cat and mouse scene with ghostface and the shotgun in the convenience store reminds me of Gale’s scene in 2. And the scene with Mindy on the ladder reminds me of the car scene in 2. 6 is definitely gonna work it’s way up to one of my favorites in the franchise

With the damaged broken mask , the cult of ghostface which is collecting there suits and memorabilia from victims/ killing sprees like tatums clothing which she died in and the kinda personal connection that sound like coming from ghostface when talking to Gail makes me think it's either stu or Jill, the only two not to get shot in the head leaving there fates uncertain, just like they did with kirby in scream 4 and now she's back alive and kicking .

Just watched this and I wish I hadn't. The actress who plays Mindy is painful to watch and drains the joy out of any scene she's in. Please don't do any more of these movies as this one has killed the franchise.
This ghost face is definitely not like the others. They feel very dark, sinister, almost non-human in a way. So hyped for this, can't wait!

One of the ghostfaces in a scream movie always has that ability where they can survive a seemingly fatal attack. Billy in 1, Mikey in 2, Roman in 3, Jill in 4 and Amber in 5. but yes this Ghostface is definitely different from the rest, I know there's still a human under the mask but this is likely going to be the strongest one yet.
Props to the sound designer for this new sequel, it totally adds to the new feel of the franchise. As an oldschool horror film buff, I'm looking forward to this instalment.
