“I love being proven wrong cause then I can be more right in the future” the aries JUMPED out
no lies detected
Truth!
yesssss
My aries soul felt that
sorry to be off topic but does any of you know a method to log back into an Instagram account??
I stupidly lost the login password. I would love any tips you can offer me
I love how Liam is so quick from the back seat to point out what the road trip in the book is.
"I'm eating pizza, I'm in a blanket and I'm crying" - that's me everyday
The "don't be mean to me" while crying and eating pizza was too relatable. This entire vlog is my new favorite video lol
"I'm crying watching Hamilton so..."
"But not even the sad part"
"Don't....... be mean to me!!!"
😂😂😂
Honestly the best part of the whole video 😂
love the fact that you went on a roadtrip during a vlog when you read books about roadtrip! also reading in the car without getting carsick is a type of power i wish i could posses.
saaaaame
Oh no! Reading in the car/ on trains is my favourite ♡ I feel so sad for people who get travel sick! I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that you all have a miraculous recovery! Until then... audiobooks! ♡♡
Aw I’m sorry :(
Crying whilst being wrapped in a blanket and eating pizza is SUCH a 2020 mood! 😂👏🏻
“Lord of the Flies again just in case you didn’t like the first one” lmao IM dead😂😭
PLEASE DO AN ENTIRE VIDEO READING WHILE STONED THIS IS MY FAVORITE THING.. EVER
Imagine if she read sad children’s books while stoned
Yes! So funny. "I feel like I've been reading this forever..........and am only on page 47" lol. Being high makes time go so slowly!
@@cactus.3157 this would be so good
"... and i'm crying over watching hamilton"
"NOT EVEN THE SAD PART!!!!"
"dont be mean to me.... :("
i'm dying (i also cry when i watch hamilton, and not only at the sad parts, i feel u lala!)
I appreciate the late night postings. It’s pretty nice when you have new content to watch when you can’t sleep 😅 and that’s on ✨insomnia✨
26:32 gave me an idea... TBR video where you focus on different familial relationships? Mother-daughter, father-daughter, sibling-sibling, extended relatives, etc? I feel like there are tons of toxic mother-daughter and father-son relationship books, but I personally would LOVE to find toxic sibling-sibling or father-daughter books........lol
NO ONE makes me more motivated to read than Kayla. Without fail, every time I finish one of her videos, I am in such a reading mood. I love it💜
this is so true
I understand why some people think you’re high on camera sometimes but I think that’s just your personality 😂 I don’t know how to describe it. But seeing you high is completely different
hahahahaha now we know I'll definitely never be able to be sneaky-high in a video. like wow was it ever apparent that I was ~*not in my right mind*~
Helen Anderson recently made a video about this! ‘What Not to Say to an Extrovert’ totally worth the watch in my opinion.
The blessing for us Europeans to get an early morning Kayla treat.... talking about treat, I was expecting a lot, but Kayla high was not on that list for sure xD
Does anybody else think that Kayla is beautiful like all the time? It's insane. Gorgeous
Video idea where you read books that were in your airbnb.
My mom read a book from an Airbnb we were staying at and it was amazing
I can’t believe she actually got high to read a book. Amazing mix
In the future, if anyone says book people are boring and uptight, I will refer them to this video. " No, mister, we can have so much fun when reading!"
You bought the jeep a year ago? THE jeep??? amazing-
side note: your hair is looking PHENOMENAL
Next video idea: My AirBnB chooses my TBR?! 😅
Also I got anxiety just thinking about reading the book of the girl going to NY to meet someone that doesn’t even know she exist 🤪🙈
I predicted this video many times because she told us on her birthday livestream when she was drunk ✨😎💫
this was my least secretive secret tbr of all time
The songs you picked for the transitions were EPIC!
Isn’t “Sadie” kind of a road trip book that you have read and liked?
It's got other things she loves (podcasts, missing people) tho so the road trip part isn't the only thing in the book
That's the first thing I thought too!
"The fact that I gave this 3 stars tells us, I think, that I hate cars"
HAHAHAHA
Never did I expect the day that Kayla would do drugs on camera. Quarantine tingz
The fact that you choose songs that are related to the topic of the video... cheff kiss
CHICKEN WING CHICKEN WING
I have this stuck in my head thanks to your live, now to watch the video 🤣
Didn't know you were in the live 😅😅😅😅
HOT DOG AND BALOOOOOOOONEYYYYY
BooksandLala CHICKEN AND MACAROOONIIIIIII
“I hate cars” ok Kayla........
"that was a choice." 🤣🤣🤣
queen of reading experiments!!! i would deffo love to see the detective pov next👀👀👀
I vote for the hidden identity trope!
Ooooo what book has a good example of that????
PLEASE SPOIL HE STARTED IT IN THE 3 THRILLERS SKDJSJDJK
I am on it. I have to talk about it.
I'm living for the music being used between the books 🙌🏻
living for the music transitions
THE MUSIC IN THE TRANSITIONS!!! !! ! !! GORGEOUS AMAZING BEAUTIFUL LIFE CHANGING!!
I love challenging my own views on books and tropes etc and seeing you do the same is always so interesting. It also makes me evaluate what I actually enjoy in books more which I definitely appreciate
I really love this exploration you've been on with your reading tastes. Ratings and enjoyment have so many variables that it can feel so arbitrary at times.
Reading and vloging while high booktube is going to new levels
Lala you look beautiful queen!!!! ❤️
As always, a Kayla vlog makes me laugh out loud. Thank you for being yourself on camera, because I just enjoy you as a human.
I love all your videos but this one has to be my favorite! You are hilarious and entertaining! I enjoyed every minute of this video especially the edibles and the crying at Hamilton and your husband sharing that it wasn't even the sad part. You are amazing!
Ahhh I love this vlog! I love seeing you try out books you don’t think you’d enjoy it’s so fun. Also ahhh so stoked you read He Started It!! I loved that one so much 😍😍😍 it was so action packed and mysterious and exciting! I just love Samantha Downings writing!
Came straight from the livestream to watch this!!! Hope Robby finishes the dishes :D
He's asleep now and did everything but the cutlery.
We need a vlog of you high reading sci-fi books. That was hilarious
I love these videos they are such a fun concept. I think Sadie would be considered road trip and ya thriller. Not sure if there would be any others though but that might help you find others. Also I'm an Aries and my anxiety has been super high this year and your comment in the video about Aries and not wanting to be out of control really just packed a punch for me. Maybe that plays a part in my anxiety being so high because yes I hate not being in control of things its part of the reason I hate driving during storms because I no longer feel in control and my anxiety gets so high. So you've given me a lot to think about. Great video.
I remember that video! Love your revisiting of styles/genres you don’t typically like.
Ahhh!! This is exactly what I needed right now!! Thank you!!
I just came from the live!!! So excited for this❤
Just came from the live. it was the first have ever caught and it was such a good time
omg how did I mandela effect that so hard, I thought the author of Cape May's name was Chip Creek but CHIP CHEEK IS EVEN WORSE AHHH
I'm frickin hyped, I love books about road trips, can't wait to get some recs
It’s probably good that you don’t have a gas station order 😂 I wish I didn’t rely on sour patch and Red Bull to survive lol
Loved the high bits! Was so fun! I get why you wouldn’t want to do it again on camera but I will always watch! :)
"I love being proven wrong so i can be more right in the future" - we love the scientific method
“I love being wrong!” Jeez can not relate 😅although your logic behind it makes sense 😂
Your videos seriously always have the coolest concepts! 💖💯
Your side banter is everything to me. That thing about being high and reading is so funny to me because I love it 🤣 I can focus more and find myself getting less distracted. How odd.
At 19:45 , you watching LAURDIY. We love to see Canadians supporting Canadians!
You look so beautiful in this video! Loved it, the road trip element was so fun to watch
i love a good road trip book it's one of my favorite tropes so i'm looking forward to see how this goes~
“THE DEBIT MACHINE WASN’T WORKING” 😂
"it's not even the sad part" "don't.... be mean to me" kjfhlsalklk rob and kayla are so fun together
LALA UNHAULING???? now there is a plot twist
Loving edibles Kayla attempting to find words and make sentences 👌
"I love being wrong. You know why? Because then I can be more right in the future."
I honestly need this on a journal or something. Curiosity is so important.
I would love to see a video about Detective POV, since I hate them too😂.
Me too. I enjoy a good thriller....but I don't want to hear about the detectives.
This was such a great vlog 🤣🤣 also you look so pretty!!!
I loved the start of this when you held up the pile of books and there was He started it and The passengers 2 books I absolutely love, (loved the One too, I actually love all of John Marrs books) was really excited to see your opinion. X
Kayla even when your hair has been through the rain it still looks great or brushed after being curled. But I understand I have fluffy hair after both too💜
I love the songs that were used in the transitions between books.
You look so pretty in this vlog! I love this hair color on you, it really suits your skin tone ❤️
Knowing a book is middle-of-the-road or mediocre is still very useful to me. Sometimes I'm in the mood to*feel*, and sometimes I'm in the mood for fluff. I appreciate your commentary ❤
What an amazing live we were blessed with tonight! And what a fun video!
I would love to see the detective POV video. You always give great thriller recommendations so if you found a detective POV that you loved I would def want to add that to my tbr
An almost hour long video and an extra large live on my birthday. Thanks.
Just came from the live!! Loved the exclusive Robbie content lol
Came from the live!!! I’ve been waiting for another vlog!!
I should unhaul books i know i won’t read but i’m a hoarder who needs help lol
A solid mood all day every day.
Serving looks from the first frame
this video has me curious about how you'd feel about jenni hendricks' unpregnant since it has some of the quirky road trip tropes but it also is a spin on a lot of those tropes and it's more like about two people having emotional growth and second chance friendship + commentary on abortion but you also could just watch the new movie instead of reading an entire book
I've heard a lot of great things about that book! I don't prefer to read about pregnancy/miscarriage/abortion type topics if I can avoid it, so I'll be passing on that one- but I may actually check out the movie! thanks for the rec my friend! :)
I absolutely loved the book and I’m so keen for the movie but I’m not sure where I can watch it in Australia
I liked that book as well. I was thinking the same thing but understand that the topic might not be everyones kind of read
the place you went to for a trip looks SOOOO GOOD i kinda wanna go
Drop an updated bookshelf tour!
I'm SOOOOOO excited for He Started It! I'm with you, my thrillers have to surprise me. Also, I read The Good Samaritan by John Marrs and really enjoyed it. It's the only one of his I've read so far.
"I'm eating pizza, I'm in a blanket, and I'm crying" is just... A whole mood!
The Hamilton clip 🤣🤣🤣 this vlog was so much fun! That air b&b was so cute! This Adventure Ends is on my 20 for 20 TBR list. So I’m glad to see your review of it. Gone but Not Forgotten by Phillip Margolin is a detective thriller novel I’d recommend you trying.
For detective POV, definitely check out "Bluebird, Bluebird" by Attica Locke!
On a complete tangent from books...I LOVE your cute tee in the beginning of this video!
He started it - top 5 reads of 2020 for me! And I loved the ending💕💕😀
Waking up to this jewl.. yes. Already made my day.😌
Btw I love your hair so pretty 😍
I got into reading when I was 15-16 years old and it started with The Last Coyote by Michael Connelly, who has a huge series about a homicide detective, Harry Bosch, which is now a show on Amazon Prime. So I do enjoy detective books, and would be interested in seeing that.
Also, I was excited to see the same bridge that I vlogged in August during our road trip, during the readEHthon :D It's like seeing your city in a movie/show/book haha. Like at the very end of Dexter there's a scene of the Greyhound bus pulling into "Daytona, Florida" and it's one of our main streets in Ft.Mac!
Oh my gods, my abuelo used to live in Merit! We would visit him every summer. Beautiful weather, but boring place (at least it was for my child-self, haha). Wonder if it’s changed since then.
ALso: that flower shirt/dress outfit is AWESOME! Even the shoes, AH! 👏🏼
ALSO: I would love to see the Secret/Stolen Identity trope video next. Unfortunately, I don’t have any recommendations, but I still think it’d be interesting.
I recognized your childhood favorites pick. I'm so excited for it! I've been wanting to reread them myself, wondering if I would still enjoy them. :-)
Detective POV: Lock In by John Scalzi, has a sci-fi sort of twist to the story.
Every time you talk about a trope you don’t like I’m like... ‘I love that!’ So fun, also totally get what you’re saying about knowing your 16 year old self would love a book... I get that all the time!
AN HOUR LATE BUT HERE NONETHELESS, I AM READY QUEEN!
I always love your longer videos like this one
Time for another comfort rewatch 🤗
exited for the next parts! :D
Don't know if u already done this but maybe u can make a "books i hated" shelf on goodreads and then read the books Goodreads recommend u based on that shelf
I think I also dislike road trip books, but your transitions prove I love driving songs 😂
I was so into this, and then when you started eating edibles on camera, I was EXTREMELY into this; +10000 for more Canadian booktubers lmao
