    A couple of corrections:
    Automatic recalling on fire alarm activation only occurs if a smoke detector in an elevator lobby or the elevator shaft, specifically, has raised the red flag. Otherwise the firefighters will need to key the elevator themselves.
    The above is part of an important safety feature, as that same context will also cause the firefighter recall light to start _flashing_ instead of simply glowing, as a signal to the firefighters that the fire's very close to the elevator mechanism and thus they should take a different way up. A smoke detector recall originating from the main egress floor will trigger a recall to whatever is designated as the alternate egress floor.
