@@Exfectz don’t make the same mistakes i made in year 10 pleaseee 😭😭 make flashcards from day 1 just take up 10 minutes from your day after school because when it comes to your exams u really don’t want to be cramming making revision material. also u learn the most content in year 10, and some in year 9, so try to through topics you don’t understand before year 10 starts cause it’s not too late 🥲 trust me year 10 COUNTS when u get to year 11 u only learn a little bit of content that u missed out in year 10 and the rest is revision only, just know that what you do will be taken into account for your predicted grades, which will also be sent off to a sixth form u want to go to. really hoped this helped cause i wish i could go back in time and take my own advice 🚪🚶🏾♀️😭😭

I found this channel after I got my results in Aug 2020. If I treated GCSEs as a long-term qualification like I am with my A Levels I would have done better although I’m more than happy with my grades.

That's super good my man - results that are that high shows that you would have likely achieved something similar without the TAGs & you shouldn't let boomers online cancel you for being proud of those results. I achieved straight 9s in my GCSEs which is not what I would have expected but it's good to see that people who revised hard like you & me (I watched you before I took my mocks where I also got 9s partly due to your revision methods) are getting the grades they deserve - good luck in the sixth form!

Hello Udoka, I am a year 11 student going into year 12, I have started watching your videos about a year ago. I followed all your advices and tips up to the very end of the year. @@smokerx6291 honestly it depends on ur subject- but the number one rule is to start studying now rather than later. Practice past paper questions and use active recall. Try out different study methods such as Pomodoro. See which study material you prefer and learn best from. Also, ask ur teacher any questions

@@StarNightGaming 9s are really difficult to get. On most exams it requires getting near enough full marks. 8s and 7s are the most reasonable to aim for.

Wow well done Any advice I’m in y10 and those are my exact subject
I think the best way to revise for maths, sciences, computer science and Spanish is to make anki flash cards since you just need to know all the facts/equations/translations that appear on exams, and keep them embedded in your long-term memory so you don’t forget them when it comes to the exam.
I find it a lot harder to revise for essay subjects such as English (I have no clue how I got a 9 in lit) but learning a decent essay structure and key terminology would be a good start.
Also practice papers are your best friend!!!

I commented at the beginning of the year, I think, saying I was really struggling with English and I ended up improving a lot and got grade 7 in lit and lang! So pleased with that to be honest. Well done again on your results, Udoka, you completely deserve it🥳🥳

@@Hadiis hey i'm going into year 11 and the first thing i would say is to not obsess over gcse's. Pay attention because all year 10 content is gcse content but do not worry if your grades aren't up to your standard. I would say all through year 10 focus on content wise and once that's down you can ace exam technique because understanding a topic and being able to answer exam questions are unfortunately quite different. This is just my perspective as I stressed too much in my end of year mocks and felt hopeless afterwards despite getting okay grades.

@@hassan.hadier To revise quotes I would just write them down on word all the quotes you would like to remember- Then what i would do is read it, cover it, say it and repeat this process until you're done. Then apply these quotes to practice essays. Learn the hardest quotes first and apply them to essays or even write them down as it can help with applying as the more brain power you use applying and trying to remember the quotes, the easier it will be in the long term. Also when you write quotes make sure to analyse them and go into detail why it shows this and how (if its a how question)

Well I wish you the best cus I have already done my IGCSE's this year and currently I will be doing my IAL board exam the next 2 months. I am telling you it is going to alot harder for you when you come in to IAL. But I don't want you to have any anxiety from it. From what I have learn from my exams is I should never be anxious to the exams cus my heart automatically starts to race up like I was going to have a hard attack but as the exams went on the emotion went away. So proud of you and everyone who took IGCSE. We don’t have the number system in NZ, we get a number out of 100 and a letter. I got 98 in English Lit, Maths, Chemistry and Chinese and 90 in Art. We also only do 5 subjects, so yeah! I also took the October/November exams last year because that is the end of the school year.
Ah, so looks like u all got and lucky results. We have tougher exams here in my country and we don’t have A** so we have unluckier options
