Man I wish my school had a cohort like this, everybody just messes about and you can’t learn anything in the classroom. I’ve had to learn all my content via myself.
Bro same its at that point where i actually will not go to any of my lessons next week why sit in a loud class talking not answering any questions for the hour when i could be silently doing a past paper
This kids will regret when they are older. You have a teacher who has a degree in the subject giving you free knowledge

1:30 That's a great inclusion in this video, actually. I've tried timetables, schedules etc. and they simply didn't work for me, and I am very glad I've realised this earlier on. While I am unsure whether that only happens to a minority of people, every subject/topic is time subjective.
Truly don't recommend having set time blocks for planning out your revision, spend as much time as you need on that subject and attempt to balance it out with your other subjects. All in all, good luck everyone! 👍

i have never used a timetable, always just make a checklist and make sure over the day i get it all done. this is good as i am not looking at the clock waiting for my 45 munite session to be up, and it is so flexible

This is seriously top advice, Udoka! It’s so cool that you got to bring students taking different subjects and all with different perspectives.
Just as they said, there’s so much more than simply “studying”. The whole mental health aspect that comes into play. In the end achieving top grades comes to polishing the details.

Bro I've got first year uni exams and I'm still watching this for tips lol. Physics and Maths Tutor gotta be best tip by far lol, saved me for A-level physics and computer science last year, I wish they went all the way up to degree level lmao. Blurting is a real life cheat code for GCSE. You can get 9s by only using it and minimum a B-A at alevel (ie because alevel is more than memory but still helpful).
I’ve used it in the past to memorise the entire Tudor dynasty month by month, not kidding and in detail. (1485 to like 1600)
im in yr 11 and will stit my gcse's in abt 2 days, but what do u mean a-level is more than memory i have heard from many that they are very hard, so would like to know how to prepare for a-levels in advance. And any advice for english and maths cuz im struggling in those subject and lit is the first exam for english.

@@user-pb5jt6xk2m i only got a 7 in English (my lowest subject) so not really the best advice giver tbh. For alevels do an hour a day mon fri and use free periods. It gets overwhelming if you leave it until a month before the exams

This was so educative tbh! I am not afraid to fail but my parents! I don't want to fail them fr. I have always learned to be calm even when I do past papers and don't answer them right, I just learn and try again. I use flashcards as well very helpful.

What unis do you have offers for? And what do you plan on studying? (If you don’t mind me asking)
As another A star student I think the difference between the avg student and A star students is effort if you realistically study over 5 hours a day it’s very unlikely you won’t get A star ideally you want to learn everything before your teacher starts teaching
would you reccomend creating FC and covering contents over GCSE summer i really want all A*s and am doing Maths Chem and Bio for Alevel
@@A_-.328 i think you should do whatever learning method suits you best but I must say most a star students will heavily revise the corresponding books for their subject example for Chem and bio you need to really memorise the aqa books a teacher cannot go into the details required to get a star personally I think it’s impossible to get a star without memorising the books and just learning from a teacher and teacher resources I’ve never heard of someone doing that . Also I don’t think you should use flash cards for a level there is a lot of content .practice questions and constant revision is what you need for a level I’m also doing maths
GCSEs start in a few days. All 8s and 9s hopefully, will be gutted if I get more than a 7 or so.

Most of them chose CS, Maths and Physics. Me who chooses these 3 subjects bcs I am good at them, ended up getting D- in them... sad reality :( if only I wasn't lazy

do you advise students who took s1 to go for s2 or m1 for year13?
I have been told that m1 is similar to physics. I took physics in igcse and got A* even though I don't consider myself a big fan of physics and sometimes find it complicated. but i did not take physics for AS.
As for s1, I found it easy but boring.
what would you advice me to with? s2 or m1?

Depends on what youre doing in ALs.
If you are doing physics then take m1 and s1 but if commerce and languages then take s1 s2

Udoka. I’m really scared. I had my maths year 12 mock, and for revision I had done 3 past papers and gotten 65% roughly on each. But when it came to the exam I completely crashed and I don’t think I even passed. I have the stats and mechanics paper in 9 days. Do you know roughly what your schools grade boundaries were for year 12 mocks. If we don’t get a D we’re kicked off the course
Not Udoka but I would suggest talking to your maths teacher about this. Its better they know about yout circumstance before assessing your capability
