HVAC Blower Fan Beeping and Moving-X13 Motor Module Replacement

  • This is a simple and short how-to on testing and replacing the motor control module. The X13 is a constant torque motor, a cross between a ECM and a PSC motor. These modules always go bad so if you are experience similar issues this is most likely the fix. Always use caution when working on electricity and always take precautions to ensure that it is shut off. Your goal for the phase to phase test is not any more than 20 Ohms and for the leads to be within 10% of each other (usually they are exactly the same).     Great Vid, Thanks. Is it possible universal power 115/230? I saw same black capacitor voltage 200V on any. I need 230V, but find cheap 115V on eBay, may I use it for 220V ?

    Great vid, really helped me figure out my issue. Question- where do you purchase one that has been programmed? My OEM (Luxaire) x13 has a sticker saying “Programmed P/N 630427”

      I bought mine off of Ebay, you just want to ensure it is programmed to the correct horsepower.
