  • This is a 2005 Bombardier CRJ900 (N935LR) operated by Mesa Airlines as a contractor for American Airlines taking off and landing from Birmingham, AL to Dallas/Ft. Worth TX. She was running almost completely empty with maybe 10 people on board, and flew at a cruising level of 38,000 ft and at 526mph. The CRJ900 is a 76 passenger regional jet and is powered by two GE CF34-8C5 high-bypass turbofan aero engines. The beginning picture of the aircraft is provided by Tweed Mythbusters. Seat was 10F. The interior of this plane was really worn out and quite dirty, there was no more cushion left in the seat so it felt as though you were sitting on plywood.

That wing is wild the way it separates...high tech.

It is pretty neat! It's called the leading edge. Thanks for watching!
