    Bro, that's not just 'hard plastic' in that Helite vest. That's a (very) big Sas-Tec level 2 protector in it. It's there to protect your back ànd the airbags against a slide or puncture. Hence the name of that vest: Helite Turtle (2). Btw, it takes about 60 pounds of force to deploy, not 40. I bought one in the summer sale, for only 460 euro (500 dollar). They are getting cheaper.

    Subscription airbag lol pretty soon we will have to pay a subscription fee if we want the motorcycles to start.

      Miss a payment and it just doesn’t deploy when needed, imagine..? That’s crayy

    On Klim- vest is $470+$300 for in&motion unit = $740. Same as the others. Option is to subscribe at $12/month. I went with that option ńbecause of lower initial cost, plus I can suspend when when bike is not ridden. Wrong on cutoff. You get a 30 day grace period and it won’t shut off while you’re riding. I have automatic deduction for the subscription. If someone whines about missing payments, then I would say just buy the unit or grow up, put on your big boy panties and take responsibility for maintaining your subscription.

    Klim subscription fee is $12/month, $120/year or $400/lifetime. So if chose lifetime that’s approx $850 for the vest and fees which is about the same as all the others. 850 or $450+$400… same same 😂

      @BMWBRO  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Great feedback. There’s something about having to charge a vest that doesn’t work for some in the end. 🫡👍

    • @robertbonvie5521
      @robertbonvie5521 Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@BMWBRO as I understand it, if you have the “lifetime” plan it will always work. Only the subscription plans could be terminated which I don’t get their logic there either. They should just charge the $800 (approx) and drop the subscription nonsense. 🤷‍♂️

    • @BMWBRO
      @BMWBRO  Před 11 měsíci

      Was referring to the fact it has a battery on board and needs to be “charged” to operate properly, in addition to subscription. That’s an issue for many.

      @@BMWBRO ahhh I see. I guess with all the other nonsense I plug in daily I’m okay with it. Batteries die and cables and attachment points can break so nothing is foolproof. I bought it for my son and figured at his age he’s more likely to charge than actually remember to connect the cable :-)

      @4940markhutchins Před 8 měsíci +1

      I like the subscription idea. Lower cost to get going on one and then the $12/month and you can suspend it when you don’t use it, like if your bike is parked over the winter. Updates and other stuff are included. So far it’s at the top of my list, followed closely by the Helite. The Alpinestars is a nonstarter because you pay through the nose to send it back if it deploys.

    I get the value of the air vest but I don't understand why you must constantly pay for it even when it's not used. It seems like a screw up. Sending them money once you buy it, just like having them in cars, who would agree with it? Maybe I'm missing something.
