#BikesandBeards - Zábava
My only accident was a high side in 2007, my back was absolutely destroyed after hitting a road sign. Something like this could have saved me months of rehab for my back and trunk strength.
2:42 "anti-climactic" is right!
We were expecting a stuntman was going to, I don't know,
fly over the handlebars: 🏍️/ 🛵 or at least a bicycle 🚴 to test it landing
onto loose dirt or asphalt to test it out, with a helmet on 🤖 ✌️
how you doing now bud?
The vest is actually a life jacket for a boat.
I didn't know Elephants rode motorbikes.
Could've, but might not've.
The vest likely does NOT come with a CO2 cartridge due to shipping issues for those cartridges. I think they can only be shipped by ground. Anyplace that sells inflatable life jackets will also sell the appropriate cartridge.
it was harder to find than we thought
@@BikesandBeards most ship chandleries would stock those, but in the midwest (where I think you’re located) probably only large fishing stores would. But yes, not a common item. Smaller cartridges used in some BB or pellet guns would be easier to find, but might lack the volume to fully inflate the vest.
@@BikesandBeards it doesn't to hard to find.. I buy them on ebay.
@@dahveed284 They are in PA.
@@BikesandBeards I’m not positive they’d have that size cartridge but I’m pretty sure hobby stores would have them too. For model car racing kits.
The vest looked like it took a bit to completely fill, but the collar seems to have instantly inflated. That's the part that's going to butt against your helmet and brace your neck.
Looks like he's being attacked or loved by some sorta woke Hobbit. {0.o} 😆😂🤣
yeah and to be fair you are most likely gonna have something ells protecting your back and softening the landing a little. usually there's not much for chest protection so at least it would help allot against that to.
I happen to wear the vest for over a year now in Mexico city, it is also water repellent overall is Good quality. Bad thing are the 33gs Co2 tanks which are not easy to find nor cheap.
I got Helite for $700 4 years ago. It is quite heavy but, it works as tested in real riding situation. If I didn't have $700, I would look into it.
@@oknevals I literally got the helite for 300€ and teh frequentyly go on sale here, for that price its honestly pretty sick, because you dont grow out of it.
Interesting, I thought you had to buy a whole new vest once it's been deployed. The fact that they used replaceable c02 cartages makes it so much more worth it
and you feel more confident bc you know it works
It's false confidence. People who wear ppe drive faster than they're capable of because they feel safe. In actuality they are blocking mobility and visibility, while raising the center of gravity and adding dead mass for when they wreck. You are twice as likely to wreck while wearing a helmet but half as likely to die.
There’s different types of airbag vests, some like the one in this video, and the accelerometer kind that requires sending back to the manufacturer to refill, and as F9 said in his video, they could always say “sorry, this vest isn’t safe to reset, you’ll have to buy a new one”
I have a HitAir vest and they recommend replacing the vest after six deployments regardless of outer appearance and condition.
alpinestars race vest has a 2 deployment limit before both co2 cartridges need to be serviced and replaced. So if you bought a cheaper version I honestly would toss it because I wouldn't know if the bladder of the vest can actually hold multiple deployments. I had the first Helite airbag vest when u first started riding and it was great. but I would spent $500-700 to have the A-Stars vest.
I love that you bought the inflatable vest. I've got a HitAir brand airbag vest, it used to be the cheapest one on the market and it was like $500! According the HitAir, the neck collar is the most significant protection these things offer and the neck collar on the amazon vest inflated really fast! I think its worth it based on your quick demo.
I also have a hot air that I use when I’m racing at the track and I’ve never had an issue with it popping when I get off the bike I think that this bag popped a little too easy
I have a Hit Air too! Sometimes simple is just better (there are issues with the electronic airbag vests sometimes). The only time I've accidentally deployed it is when I dropped my bike at like 2mph and tried to walk away lol
Is the hit air worth the 500? Provide good protection? I already broke 2 vertebrae in my back skydiving. & my tailbone.
@@JohnnieV It depends. I find that I don't wear mine very often and in my case it probably wasn't worth it. I think the company only having a few products, just motorcycle and horse riding airbag systems, is reassuring. All of their r&d goes into these airbag systems, not just motorcycle gear in general.
@@JohnnieV The hit-air vest does inflate and unfold around the neck and down the back, a flap at the bottom folds out during inflation covering the tailbone. Personally I'm not convinced it will inflate fast enough to provide protection from the first strike against a car or the ground but better safe than sorry.
The projectors underneath are a really good idea for safety and style. Imagine using them as blinkers too.
Yeah I agree it would be very useful
The airbag vests are legit. I just took my motorcycle safety course and our instructor was talking about how it literally saved his life going at highway speeds and being thrown off his bike that was totaled.
He had minor injuries and was able to go home the same day, the doctors were shocked and had no idea what the vest was until he showed them.
Unsure what type of velvets he used though, I don’t think it was the one with the cable like this one, but maybe it was idk
The point is that they’re legit.
There are electronic ones(aka you don't have to be tethered to the bike, but you have to charge your "air-jacket", so yeah...), but the problem with them is the fact that a lot of those on the market are crappy(they usually have a small inflate volume and don't inflate enough to block your helmet to prevent the neck injuries) also some have "subscriptions"(aka you have to pay a monthly fee for it to function) imagine how cool it would be to die because your subscription period expired or it just thought it expired! That's the cyberpunk we deserve
lever locks are useless against a wrench on the banjo. A rotor lock would be more effective.
The mask is pretty cool.
Wing lights are silly.
Paint booth is pretty nifty.
yeah rotor lock is very effective and also has an alarm function... I stopped using mine though because it would randomly go off from the wind ... in my trailer LOL ... I'm sure better brands are well better
Banjo wrenches are so gauch, guitar nuts work far better if monkey wrenches had real fur! Why aren't there side mirrors? Damn liberals! Isn't it enough that you eat small animals?
Where a helmet for no reason but weed.
Right outside. Amen.
Great episode! That vest looks perfect for my needs. I was looking at some others and they were running about a grand. So $200 + $25 cartridges seems downright reasonable.
Right on!

The Helite vest was $550 when I bought it. I hope it’s not $1k now?
@@professorvoluck9311 The one I was looking at was a jacket with a built in airbag (GP Tech V2). Cost was $999
Check out the helite turtle
That vest- if you flew off your bike on a bridge into a river and went unconscious it would keep you head up until you were rescued! yeah!!
I just realized this video had NO ads, least we can do is give the video a thumbs up!
I also ride with an airbag vest, but I use the alpine stars model, however this one for the price looks very good.
If I was riding with a buddy and he was wearing the vest I would try to pull the cord at every red light lol. The paint booth is kinda sick! 👍👍🔥🔥🔥
i would be trying to do the same thing haha
That's hilarious
Then flick his kill switch to off 😂👌🏽
Been loving this series.
Have actually purchased a couple of the items from previous videos, and they've been working great. (bluetooth helmet mic/headset dealy & the alarm + fob combo)
I'd probably split it and do legit 'stupid' accessories, and another video for potentially 'useful' accessories,... maybe scope out further than Amazon and really go hard in to the Wish and AliExpress stuff, but that's just me. I know I'd watch both, but can't speak for everyone. But yeah, one of the few series on CZcams that I watch and keep up with atm.
More, please!
This series is really good, I think I speak for a lot of watchers that would like more accessories tested.
Your channel rules!!! The vibe you guys put off is super positive and just FUN!
The second time the back part of the airbag seemed to fill faster, so maybe if you get one of these you should do a test on it to loosen up all the bags and stuff and make sure it actually works at the same time.
It's been a couple of months since i started considering this chinese vests for my daily commute (mostly high speed) and your video helped me make my mind. Loving that neck and low back protection.
Love the content as always Brocephus!!! Thank you for all of your hard work to bring us this always too quality content!!! God Bless all of You & Your Fams!!!
Glad you enjoy it!
I have to thank you for reviewing the motorbike alarm and tyre pressure tpms, acting totally on impulse I bought them last week. They are great, good review , thanks.
I’ve ridden with this Amazon vest for a year now and I really like it. Was worried a bit about it blocking air flow on a June trip through Mojave Desert, but it flows plenty. At first I also worried about setting it off accidentally, but the cord starts stretching a bit if you forget and it reminds you. Plus, I’m usually giving the bike a quick scan before I walk away, making sure I didn’t leave keys in the ignition, tucking away gloves and stuff, and you pretty quickly see the cable. Have compared side by side with much more expensive model and they look and feel similar in quality. Have NOT used it in a crash. Nice review btw.
Do you have the amazon link to the vest?
Love your content and this channel, it all makes me feel like a kid with the best intentions and all laughs 😃
Sean: "Kick me in the back!!"
Also Sean: "I have blood in my stool!!" {0.o} 😆😂🤣
Appreciate the review on the vest. I actually bought that exactt product a few months ago. Haven't had an accidental inflation. Just looks like a traffic cone..... lol oh well..... I ride home at 4 am, so it makes me feel better to be visible and sorta protected. Very cool to see that it really works.... no I didn't waste 30 bucks on a cartridge to find out.
Came here for motorcycle accessories and now I want that mask! Haha! You guys are awesome! Love the channel!
The inflatable booth is pretty awesome too. Definitely would come in handy for projects that's for sure
That projector kit would really be awesome if it made images in motion. I would have a pair of wolves or cheetahs running along side of me in the night, escorting me wherever I go. Epic!
The setup on sawhorses to suspend tanks, fenders etc for painting is great! I just did a tank the other day and couldn't figure out the ideal way to mount it, nice!
Now you know
Thanks for the show and tell rather thought the spray booth would be ok , all the best to you all
Yes I love these videos! You guys inspire me! My first bike was delivered yesterday ❤️❤️
At 6:53 I almost cried for you when that lanyard smacked that brand new side panel lol. I'm glad you guys are taking one for the team for us
!
19:30 is the end of the video
@@jimboalogo apologies I fixed it lol
Thank you for reviewing the vest. I've come close to buying it a couple times.
for paint booth... try reversing airflow - vent outside.. looks like easy install/uninstall
like the inflatable vest.. how long does it hold air.. can you use a cartridge from a tire repair kit ?
enjoyed how you answered the questions that arise while demonstrating the product
lol
Awesome job guys! The vest and big remote seemed cool. 👍🏽
We agree!
I wear the Helite Airbag vest. I was convinced of how useful it would be when I was in my MSF and one of the instructors had one he deployed. It felt like you could take a sledgehammer to it and not cause any damage.
Fortnine has his friend hit him with a golf club. The back is very well protected but the biggest protection is actually on your neck. If your neck snaps, you're dead. Combined with a full face, the airbag can protect your neck.
This cheap-o airbag still seems to provide neck protection, even if back protection is subpar compared to the helite.
That being said, I also the helite turtle and what convinced me was fortnine. Glad your MSF instructor demonstrated. He must be passionate to save lives. Helite should send him free refills to deploy since $20 each time he deploys it isn't cheap if you combine it by the number of classes they do per year.
The wing lights would look very dope on a 90s Honda Pan European. I will soon buy one, those will go on there if it's street legal in Germany.
Product reviews are great but wanted to say thanks for the music snippets that put me on to jay ray!!
If you are ever thinking about buying a Helite airbag vest for your motorcycle.
Just do it. It might just save your life.
naw i put seatbelts on my bike because seatbelts save lives. why else would the government mandate them?
Nah, I want an ejector seat with parachute.
100% The Helite Airbag will definitely be on that list.

Love the Amazon segments!
We have a new drinking game for whenever Bikes & Beards has a new episode. You have to take a shot whenever Sean wears his Hollywood sunglasses when he's inside the shop, especially when he has to lean forward to try and see or read something....then takes them off. Next scene he has em' on again in the shop...."Another Shot".
OMG at 12:00 I lost the ability to breathe LMAO!!!
You and Craig are too funny.
OKAY CRAIG I SEE YOU WITH THE FADE ON THE SIDES!!! LOOKING LIKE A YOUNG STUNNA. KEEP DOING YO THANG BIG DAWG 💯
I had a Bicycle rear light that projected a red line on ether side of me kinda putting you in your own lane. It definitely worked but mine was really cheap and broke quickly. But something like what you showed could really help keep one safe.
Love this channel! Best bike related channel I know
Keep up the good work!!
(Btw, just let us be honest) 🤣🤣 you just liked the light-up mask for yourself and bought is because it looked fun 😂
Glad you like them!
hey you heard him too, 12:22, they've got a bank robbery planned 😂
That mask with the front screen was really neat. A little low-res, but still cool.
You showed amazing products I didn't even know existed. Thanks
Yes! I love stupid amazon product reviews. Always comedy.
Love your channel! God bless all of you!
During the first lockdown in the uk I come across ur channel and i wasn't in a good place in my head, u guys inspired me to get bk riding and set up a channel and now got into video editing so thanks guys and keep up the good vids 🤙

Love the Amazon series!
This is one of my favorite series
I don't know why, but in Europe they are way cheaper. The best ones are 700$ max, and the cheapest are around 150$. 300$ gets you something really good already. Most of my friends wear one and it already saved some of them from big injuries .I highly recommend anyone to wear one, you dont want to get ejected from your bike and wear nothing.
More videos of reviews please there awesome I could watch them all day
I bet @lockpickinglawyer could get past that brake lock thing without actually picking it.
First thing I thought of lol
Loved the "rat" bike you used for the wings!
There are small laser projectors that guys wire into their brakes/running lights, they throw various patterns onto the ground behind the bike. Those are very handy when you ride in groups.
This was a great video; I liked the paint booth. You showed it can work and they sell a big car booth for 1299.00
Love this series
The wing thing would be great for safety especially with turn signals, like a bubble of light at night. So difficult to see a motorcycle at night as it merges with car headlights
Always a great upload from bikes and beards 👍🏾
Sean: "Kick me in the back!!"
Also Sean: "I have blood in my stool." {0.o} 😆😂🤣
It's illegal to ship CO2 cartridges by air, so it's unlikely you'd get one with the vest. The mask was goofy fun, and the bouncy-castle paint booth actually has some practical applications! Not bad! Thanks again, guys! ✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦
The airbag vest is the best insurance you can buy for survival. Nothings fool proof but it works. Initial impact secondary impact or cars hitting you while your down
I purchased a laser rear light for a mate who had been rear ended a while ago. It has a led light which has multiple modes to alert a driver that he has a bike in front of him. The laser highlights the ground with lines and markers to show how far the driver should be when overtaking or just sitting in traffic. Perhaps you could show that another day.
The vest they had used was more of an off-brand one, so it seems that the quality in regards to the required pull-strength, and the speed at which the airbags properly inflated, was not on par to that of the name brands: ie. Alpinestar, Helite, etc.
Physics. They inflate the same, using the same canisters. The inflate time will be the same.
Those lights look awesome in the dark!!! Def something I would buy
I loved the quiet Fortnine shout out 😂
If I am ever able to afford a bike your channel is where I would do alot of research and of course the laughs
Thanks for showing us some cool products, I just wanted to mention two things; yes the lock is junk but the noise measurement would need to be made at a specific distance to be accurate. The wings cool as they are, may not be legal in your state.
Love the videos, and especially love the WL build. Would love to build one myself, if I could find one in a big city
You can do it!
The paint booth needs a way to filter in coming air. Its pretty slick!
Not too big a deal to slap in a forced air furnace filter ✌️
@@MrTheHillfolk oh yeah! True. Didn't even think of that!

One of those small inverter generators for camping with the paint booth that would be pretty cool that's a pretty big nice tent I wonder how they would do in the rain and weather also puncture-resistant more testing for other uses like camping would be neat this was an interesting video thanks Sean and Greg I give this video five thumbs up for the amusement and product worthiness/ value

I've got a Helite free air jacket and it's worth the 1000$ price tag. I've got the buckle set up underneath the saddle on the frame. Gives me (a new rider) a sense of protection that allows me to push my limits to find what my true limitations are, this helps me learn what I'll be capable of during a life threatening situation.
Yesssss I LOVE THESE!
Great Vid guys, first time seeing you guys. Love the paint booth wish i knew about this a year ago. Painted my fairings for my bike did a DIY tento it was a disaster LOL, but now i know. oh the vest was great i will get 1 of those for safety. Thank you guys
Love these videos!!
Glad you like them!
I like it also guys, definitely could make the difference on saving your life Sean. Craig should have one too. I would for sure wear it on track day too.
Would love to see you guys do some reviews or tests on Royal Enfield motorcycles. I'm a huge Royal Enfield guy after purchasing a interceptor 650, love the brand.
This is definitely going to have its own series
I own a Helite vest and the vest you tested does not appear to inflate immediately and completely as the Helite vest does. Also the Helite vest doesn't inflate so easily when you dismount from your bike and forget to disconnect the lanyard.
I like the booth great idea for bike projects but how do you clean the interior of heavy solids paint build up ? After a while it will get all flaky
Love these Amazon vids
