Why is this comment so cute
Absolutely a great oldie done by the best teacher. Justin I took your beginners course three years ago at the age of 68. I will turn 72 this April and I want to thank you so much. I can now play most all types of songs not only through your many scales and exercises but the ease and style you used teaching. Your blank sheets were even the best and the only one who had them. The best part for anyone reading this IT WAS ALL FREE by this great guy. I play and practice EVERY day and enjoy the habit because of you. Again thank you.
Hope you still playing man
Sad to say soon after I really got to playing well I developed "tremor" in both hands and my playing days soon after ended my playing guitar and then took up piano and now that's going to end soon. Wow this was ten years ago I sent you the comment ?
Elvis qui écoute en 2024, juste de passage, le king pour moi Jhonny
such well paced, measured tutorial with clear demo of all the chords - and bam , I can practice progression & play it . thank you 🙏 Justin
lot of chord changes for a simple song. lol. love it !!
Perfect tutorial as usual.
Lots of people do it, and I do it myself.. singing the chords as you change... but “D me F Sharp 7 with a C sharp base B minor with a D7 over A” is classic gold!
Justin, you're all good man!
I love the mini bar for the G string ! 😝
Your singing on these tracks does what it needs to do; helps us to learn something so it's perfect :-) Merry Christmas
2020 beeech
You're a legend too, bro. Cheers from Nashville!
Thank you Justin, love your personality & teaching. 👍
Wonderful lesson, very clear, concise and accurate! Love how when he was giving advice to move between the barre chords he said to hit the bass first then "sneak" the chord in!!
You're very welcome!
Great lesson Justin!

Another great lesson, Justin! By the way, if it's not too much trouble, could you do a lesson on Bold as Love by Jimi Hendrix? Thanks!
danke
Hey justin your videos arw amazing and realky help if you see this message would you be able ti do a video on major chords pleez
Hey Justin .In that chorus it sounds a bit like the old " happiness is a cigar called hamlet " aired around the 80's .
wooow geat Boy :)
Hey Justin, I learning this song, it’s a very Romantic song to sing, but I was wondering which fret do you have to play all those chords on? I’m a little stuck.
Could you plz give a lesson abt tender by blur?
Love the laugh
Please next Hocus Pocus by Focus
Very nice! Especially the Gm6. I always played a GmM7 there but either seems to work well; a simple Gm would do also.
I wonder how Elvis would have played a Gm6 (or M7) at age 21; I really don't think he could have managed either one, or could he have? Did he play the guitar on the original recording or did somebody else?
Replying to myself, from wikipedia:
"Movie producer Hal Wallis would not allow Presley's regular band (Scotty Moore, Bill Black, and D.J. Fontana) to play on the soundtrack. Instead, The Ken Darby Trio provided the musical backing with Red Robinson on drums, Charles Prescott on bass, Vita Mumolo on guitar, and Jon Dodson on background vocals, with Presley providing only lead vocals."
Apperently one Vita Mumolo of the Ken Darby Trio.
Happy holidays!!!
I think your correct actual chord played regular Gm
kevmgbgt69 the sheet music shows Gm. I went ahead and learned the Gm6 as Justin suggested. I may need that chord in another song.
Aww I am struggling with that difficult f# chord.. urge I’ll never get it!!! :( I just gotta keep workin at it
Justin...I need help :/. I've been playing this song for months now, literally, probably almost a whole year, I can do everything else MINUS the barre chord part. It's really starting to piss me off. I'm still a super beginner, and can only really play this one song. I just can not for the life of me get the barre chord down.
I feel like my hands might just be a little too big. From my palm up to my middle finger, is 8 inches and a quarter(about 21 CM for the British in you). My fret board at the widest is just over 2 inches. But for THIS song, the barre is pretty much near the thinnest part of the guitar. I'm also playing on an acoustic if that helps.
To test out my "theory" I play the same barre chord note, but down the fret board(near the widest part) and can hit every note crystal clear.....
can you or anyone suggest a good semi-hollow/hollow body guitar(BEEN wanting to get one for a while) that has a nice and wide neck?
Almost EVERY song has a barre chord in critical moments of the song and it's putting me off from continuing because I genuinely can not hit those chords no matter how many damn times I try.
People with smaller hands keep saying "oh just practice you'll get it" Or "big hands don't really make it any harder" while their hands are the size of a hamsters hand.
Help :(
Hi
I was in school and learned this
XD
Hello, how you learn to play so well ?
Good sleeping aid
Justin, you say this song is in 2/4 time but the sheet music shows it in 4/4 time so I’m confused.

Love ya man. think your great guitarist and teacher, but erm... ya singing erm....well erm...! ;-)
It is composed by elvis. It sounds easy but it is difficult
I thought your singing was beautiful. :)
Found out that i'm still crap at barre chords, i put to much pressure on my thumb :(
By the order of the peaky blinders

I keep touching strings with my fingers im not supposed to touch, like this C#7, when o press on G with my middle finger, i'm touching and muting my B string, also with my ring finger on A, i'm muting D and so on, if i position my fingers so i can pres strings without touching others, i cant place barre, i feel like an idiot not being able to bend my f******g fingers😣
f me for such a simple sounding song thats difficult
río
Gm6 is ridicoulous
When it comes to “how to play” and “guitar lesson,” it’s better not to sing next time.
