The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

did anyone notice , that the lyrics to this song were not like the original recording , but back then it's the way Elvis did things ....he added his own lyrics which were just as good. This is when Elvis was Elvis.

Elvis could sing with a baritone voice even in the 1950s. He had an outstanding ability to change his voice depending on the genre.

My Father was 11 years old at this time and my Mom about 9 years old. Mom passed away this January 12th 2022 to cancer. My father and mother loved Elvis's music and played it just about every single day as far as I remember. I am turning 55 July. The memories will never fade.
Now my Father is so looking forward to seeing the new Elvis film coming out. I will take him to the theater as soon as it's released. He is so saddened that Mom is not here to join him now on this. To me and my Sister, Elvis still lives through our Dad ❤✌🏻

I even loved the movie cash. When Johnny cash and his first wife lived in Texas cropse crystal. His kids met a youngster name Andy and I had met Andy and we're good friends when I lived in Kentucky and I had met J.C kids there great people...

60 yrs ago ... His songs are timeless....
1956 was a magical year for Elvis Presley. It started in January with his first appearances on the Dorsey brothers’ show. From then on it was a one way trip to superstardom, appearing on Ed Sullivan, performing 173 live concerts, and first time on the silver screen. It was also the year that he stopped at my uncle’s service station in Ohio and sang a few songs for the guys that worked there. I love that my family has some history relating to this period in Elvis’ career.

His rich voice was incomparable and there will never be anyone else like him,. no matter how many people try to imitate him. Back in the 60s, I was crazy about him, and none of my friends were. Their loss. I will always be an Elvis Presley lover.
