👉🏻 Ambiguous Object Illusion: repost of this incredible design by Kokichi Sugihara of Meiji University in Japan, the inventor of this illusion and art form. A clever combination of reflection, perspective, and viewing angle produce this striking illusion. My vote for best gift from the G4G13 exchange last year.
👉🏻 Bismuth Diamagnetic Levitation: Element 83 (bismuth) is the most diamagnetic of the elements*. Here a small neodymium magnet is made to float between two 99% pure bismuth 10mm cubes which are held in precise configuration by friction with the parallel walls of the acrylic assembly I made. Diamagnetic substances only have magnetic fields of their own when placed in an external magnetic field from another source- here the tiny cube magnet supplies the field.
👉🏻 Jansen’s Linkage Walker: a mesmerizing motorized sculpture that features Jansen’s linkage- a unique leg mechanism which converts rotary motion of a crackshaft into smooth walking motion.
👉🏻 Precision Doodle Top: a sharpened pencil lead serves as the point of this wooden spinning top and records the path of contact revealing the intricacies of its precession and motion as friction slows the system down.
👉🏻 Faraday Train Kit: a battery with magnets on both ends and a coil of bare copper are the simple essence of this self propelled craft.
👉🏻 Kinetic Magnetic Wave Wires Kit: explore the surprising ways oscillating kinetic energy is exchanged when repulsive magnetic fields allow masses on springs to interact with each other. Here three weighted springs dance in chaotic motion as they trade kinetic energy.
👉🏻 Tensegrity Mobile Stand: thin cables levitate and support a smartphone at an angle in this high tech precision machined version of the tensegrity concept, invented by Kenneth Snelson and made famous by the architect Buckminster Fuller in 1949. This stand by Kontax Engineering Ltd came as a kit and was a lot of fun to assemble.
👉🏻 Hyperbolic Holes: a straight rod, in this case a pencil, glides through a symmetrical pair of curved holes related to the famous conic section.
👉🏻 Homopolar Motor Type 2: another take on an easy to make minimalist electric motor design: battery, wire, and a magnet attached to the head of a screw which serves as the rotor.
👉🏻 Pharaoh Hollow Mask Illusion: this ceramic lamp features a concave image lighted from the bottom, which appears as a regular convex image via this vintage version of the hollow face illusion.
👉🏻 Hollow Mask Dragon Illusion
👉🏻 Self Propelled Homopolar Motor: cylindrical neodymium magnets supply the static magnetic field for this motor and become the wheels of a very simple vehicle with an AA battery as the energy source.

Thanks for watching ❤ - Věda a technologie
I was impressed by the presentations of the "magic" of the laws of physics and the meticulous craftsmanship. A most entertaining video. I would still like to know what took ten years, as stated in the headline. Thanks.
They've used the headline repeatedly as click-bait.
Well if it DID take 10 yrs of using clickbait, then the statement is true. Which makes it not clickbait.Which makes the statement false again. Which makes it clickbait again...The perpetual motion paradox?
I always remove the security lock from my axe when I hear the words: It will work forever or eternally
Replace the pharaoh with an elf on the shelf. it would freak out the kids thinking they are being watched.
At last, content that has not wasted my time! Well done!
Glad to hear that ❤️❤️
Science is magic that works. Science is a beautiful gift to humanity!
@@physicsfun Yes, science is a beautiful gift to humanity. Unfortunately scientists are not always so "beautiful".
The walker looks like it would have obvious real world applications.
it is clear that we can use many examples from the laws of physics in our lives to get more out of everyday time without harming the environment as we do today...
The most important thing to never stop questioning is YOURSELF.

Yeah, it's almost as if perpetual motion machines are impossible...
Det vigtigste er, aldrig at stoppe med at stille spørgsmål.
I'm Delighted And Thank U 4 Everything!!!Best Greetings From Poland✌️
Awesome music for your presentation..!!! Cool stuff..!!!
I definetly gotta 3d print myself a little desk strandbeast... i don't even have space on my desk...
truely wonderful, brings out the kid in us all, thank you
the moment when you realize you actually still don't complete understand about magnets
That was awesome! I'm just now building a wood lathe I just got. I now know one of the projects I'm going to make. .. Nice work 👍
Glad to hear that :D
What I love about science is that as you learn, you don’t really get answers. You just get better questions.
Hmm, well said.@@physicsfun
❤ the dancing magnet ball
Almost forgot about this channel. Very entertaining. Love the relaxing background music for this video.

The song that comes to mind is "POP goes the weasel!" Love your channel.
This is astonishing

Hi, these are mind blowing!!!!!! Excellent!!!!!
Glad you like them!

These gadgets remind me of the weird stuff that you can buy at Spencer’s in the mall 😂😂
lots great innovation and application direct not prompt a better and good life (house food cloth transportation medical etc)
Where's the part that took ten years? Clickbait title. Won't be back. Was it worth it?
Just realized the thumbnail is also clickbait.
I don’t think you and the one other person who liked the comment will have that much of an effect on anything
@@gggc1003 You're most certainly right, but if I were running a CZcams channel, I'd appreciate feedback. Perhaps the channel in question will also. Thanks for yours. Cheers, D.
Blocking channel because duck clickbait.
Wow! great work! ... "stunning"! 🌟
Glad you enjoyed
I had a tensegrity idea only last night, but whew, none of these was it.
Love your soundtrack too...

I love the Faraday train kit. Looks like so much fun.

Fun?
Is that the propulsion system for Musk's Hyperloop?
It would look nice if it went up an incline, then slid out of the coil and back down the incline before entering the tube again.

Excelente melodia, es tan buena como los excelentes temas de ciencia en si mismos. 👍👍👍

Love this Physics fun and what is the music can any one tell me thanks
The music as the content is from a heart that beats somewhere in the future and a mind that shuns the past. It seems to me.
Mummy! Mummy! It's all out of control!

Excellent :)
2:45 IT DREW A FREAKING CAT OMG cats are so random indeed
Hummm. Very interesting. I wonder if you attach an led to one side of the Faraday train coil and the other side of the coil would it light up? What an interesting vid, nice job.
I’m thinking that the battery’s current flow is into the coil the magnet is touching, across a dozen or so coils to the magnet on the other end of the battery.
I’m not sure how a voltage potential would be created across the two ends of the coil?
What is a "crackshaft" exactly?

Physics is the best. Still so many unanswered questions. Just when you think you know, you get surprised again.
Fantastic gizmos, but the background music is annoying
Personally I think it's brilliant. What is it please? If you don't like it there is a simple solution - turn the volume off.
Non smettere mai di porti questioni
There's a typo in the Jansen's Linkage caption.
I caught that too. Should say CRANKSHAFT.
kinetic magnetic wave wires show how two bodies that have an electromagnetic field are repulsed by each other, not attracted...

Science is a way of life. Science is a perspective. Science is the process that takes us from confusion to understanding in a manner that's precise, predictive and reliable - a transformation, for those lucky enough to experience it, that is empowering and emotional..

Walker description says crackshaft instead of crankshaft. Is that an illusion ?

Did you mean *crankshaft?* (Jansen’s Linkage Walker)
Batteries in the base that’s why you won’t see one with a transparent base

1:42 ... what is your defeniti0on of "Smooth Walking Motion" ?
Yes the feet have a smooth motion ... BUT ... the BODY is jerking with every step. - so - NO ( to me it is NOT a smooth walking motion if the head / body of the beast jerks with every step )

Wait. Isn't that magnetic worm thingy a perpetual motion machine? It won't ever stop doing laps unless the tube opening is diverted. Surely energy can be harvested from something like that.
Till the battery runs 😉
