- I finally decided to make my version of a In-Depth Phosani's Nightmare Guide w/ live commentary. Hope this helps you with your journey and if you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments and I will answer. :D Also another video on something aside from Nightmare coming soon.
#osrs #nightmare #guide
0:00 Introduction, Basic Gear Setup & Max Hit Test
3:33 Getting To Nightmare
6:00 Your First Kill
18:14 Gear Progression
26:30 Combat Achievement Strategies
36:14 Advanced Kill - Hry
Two update's to the speed strat:
Granite Maul - Upon More Kills with the Voidwaker, I DO NOT use the Granite maul at all anymore. Just go for 2 Voidwaker spec's at the end and then switch to Scythe, it is more consistent.
Torva Armor - Using Inquisitor for specs is fine albeit you lose 2 max hit's, it keeps the switches simpler. You can just simply Voidwaker/Avernic/B-Ring switch for spec's then directly into Scythe.
Good guide. Thank you man
Great guide thanks brother
Great video, thank you
aye ty for guide used this to get started. at 491 kc now with a stacked loot tab tyvm
Subbed. Fantastic guides!
Finally got a few kills under my belt and it's all thanks to your guides, mate. Seriously, well done and thank you again!
Just got my first phosani kill thanks to you!
Ayy just hit 45 kcs using a modified version of your beginner setup, thank you for the video! Helped me a ton!!! Only 55 more for tablet now ;)
Update, now at 97 kcs only 3 more till tablet :D thanks again for your guide, it is definitely one of the best if not the best pnm guide I’ve found out there
great video. subbed and liked
Thank You 🙂
Ty😊
saw you at pnm the other day, nice vid man hopefully some people who need it come across it! what do you need for the log?
Just got the Inq helm today last item left to green log is the Mace. 🙂
Also Parasites, you can get 5 four tick weapon attacks before you need to switch for killing it. And 4 five tick weapon attacks before you need to switch. It will give you a couple of ticks before it spawns.
Sweet vid man! Just got 60kc with bludgeon and bandos. Do you think inquisitors should be my next upgrade or the scythe?
First full Inquisitor then get a scythe & set to crush.
Not that it matters at all, but you forgot to switch back to B Ring at the end for P5. Given you got her to 5 hp and were 1s off, it likely may have actually made the difference in this kill haha.
Great guide btw, has helped me a lot.
I know but at the same time I didn't want to redo it just to shave off 1 second, it was meant to be more of a live example of how to do it. Honestly that kill was kind of scuffed in my opinion with that parasite miss-target going into p2 at 38:08 lol.
If one does not have or cannot afford a heart, how about a forgotten brew? Four doses?
Personally I wouldn't use them because you don't want to drain your strength/attack. If you do, you have to keep repotting your super combats every phase & don't use divines. If you don't have a heart I'd suggest just simply bringing another piece of food.
I was using the blowpipe and i kept missing the last sleepwalker, but i dont have a craws bow, is the bowfa usable since it has more range even with a slower attack speed?
12:50 in this video of mine, czcams.com/video/0rXSO-R3JCY/video.html
Hello Plastic, a good way to always kill the 4 sleepwalkers is to kill 1st one with staff due to the long range then blow pipe the other 3. Just make sure you're set to rapid on BP and don't miss a tick on xp drops
Why do you use the ham joint? Is only saves 1 or 2 ticks but takes up an extra space and switch. Is that worth it? Plus if you need to change prayers then you often lose a tick, so it doesn’t even save much time.
What are you thinking about using instead of ham joint? and are you doing a speedrun? If so you should be using ham joint to 1 hit them, if you use a crush weapon it's guaranteed to one hit them.
@thefawly84 i was thinking the same thing. I've always just used bludgeon because that's my main weapon. So no switch and still 1 hit them.
What do you think about using osmumten fang+avernic instead of bludgeon?
I wouldn't bother with a fang I'd imagine the dps would be pretty bad.
Is the Elidinis's Ward (fortified or not) good & convenient to bring when using a Trident or Sang ?
Always bring ward if Sang/Trident is my suggestion unless your really struggling you can lose it as a switch.
@@SynthetickRS That was a fast reply ! Thanks. I've done a total of 2 PNM kills before but they really came down to the wire. I'm interested in getting the Slepey tablet cause I love untradeables, and I'm all geared up now. A few planks tomorrow and I should get back in the rhythm !
@@gael-L gl to you and np. 🙂
Why do you ham joint the last sleep walker? Why not just bow it?
I've just always done it like this but I can't remember if it was because bow was too slow to hit 3/4 to hit in time or if it was tick perfect. Either way you look at it the ham joint adds more room for error that's why I suggest using it for 3/4.
Hey are there any other ranged weapons you can use except that bow?
You can use a regular Craw's Bow or even a Toxic Blowpipe works but the timing with the Blowpipe is slightly tighter because of having shorter range. I highly suggest learning with Craw's over Blowpipe unless your a Iron and don't have one yet.
@@SynthetickRS Thanks for the fast reply. yea i haven't even gotten past phase one yet sooo will see lmao
@@ryanjackson954 Just takes practice you'll get it. 🙂
@@SynthetickRS yea now everytime im getting to the end of the second phase
You sound like my hairstylist Gabe lol
I just want this pet man, already tired of the boss at 130 kc lol. It’s just 7 minutes of constant focusing
whats the ham joint for?
Any crush type weapon will max hit the Husks not just the Ham joint, but the Ham joint is the fastest option. Although it does require a high strength level and decent +str bonuses on gear. If you don't have the minimum setup I used in this guide then you can always just Bludgeon or Inq mace them and it would do just fine.
why light bearer main ring over b ring? getting to 48 on scythe gives you 4 max hits, thats about 5% dps lost.
More VW specs, Only use the B ring at the end for the final phase. Although you do still switch to B ring for every VW spec.
Best guide I've seen, finally got a kc. Mobile only and this is hard af
are there alternative weapons to the ham joint?
Husks pretty much any crush wep ham joints the fastest but inq mace or bludgeon both work fine. Also for sleepwalkers 3/4, I find myself scything the last one alot but any melee wep will do.
@Synthetick I've been doing a bit of looking into it before your reply for the sake of not spending 2.6m on a weapon that I'll only use here while also being able to keep the 3 tick weapon. Goblin paint cannon is identical stats for the ham joint. You only lose out on the ability to have a defender equipped as it's 2h. It seems like a great option for only 225 gold at the diango shop.
@@adamreinhard7252 Yeah its cheaper ofc but I only suggested bludgeon cause you can save yourself trouble switching weps, makes it easier to learn. But if your going for speed just use the rpg if you want I used it in my sub 1 mil phosani vid.
@Synthetick this was the first video of yours that I've seen. I am brand new to this boss, but I've always learned best in sink or swim, where I bring the best available tactics.
@@adamreinhard7252 Understandable, gl on the Phosani's journey.
whats if i cant afford craw
I highly suggest craws but if you want to do it without it then just blowpipe the Sleepwalkers. Although the timing will be much less forgiving with blowpipe it will just take practice.
why webweaver?
I always suggest Craw's/Webweaver because it's range & attack speed is perfect for sleepwalkers. Although you can use a Toxic Blowpipe, the timing is tighter since it's very short range.
judging by your gear i was like "this guide came out when phosani's did." then i saw a webweaver bow lol
It was more to explain mechanics and keep it a simple, efficient & cost-effective guide. I didn't want to overwhelm people and make them think they needed bis gear to do it. 🙃
@Synthetick oh I figured it out by the end when you pulled up in full inquister/scythe. Also ty for the guide, got me the last elite combat achievement task for full elite tier, and I might actually give this boss a shot 😅
@@OnePeace117 Good to hear I'm glad it helped you in some way, also congrats on finishing Elite.
