I’m a big “quick ball” fan.
It’s not a guaranteed catch, but resetting on legendarys, you will get it eventually.
Plus you can buy them in bulk, or if you like the long lasting struggle catch.. start with a quick ball, failing that beat up the mon for a bunch of turns and throw timer balls.
It’s basically a guaranteed system.

Got Kyogre my 1st quick ball my 1st encounter in Alpha Sapphire and have almost consistently gotten 999 of them since them because they have occasionally caught legendaries.
I start with a Quick Ball, weaken them, use Dusk Balls if the legendary is in a cave or its night (Ultra Balls otherwise), until ten turns have passed then I just spam Timer Balls.

Green pokeball is actually regular pokeball but just an older version. The Pokémon match that ash is watching is actually a recording from a long time ago. From back when mass produced pokeballs were still green and not red. A version between the old and regular pokeball.

PokeBall seals have indeed come back! They're called stickers now, though. "Seal" is the Japanese word for sticker. But it's also a word in English, so they just left it for the original DPP. Looks like in the remakes they're changing it to better reflect the Japanese meaning, changing it to stickers.

it actually makes a little sense, we think of that as a lot of money in the $ amount but that probably isn't the case we think about how hard that is to get as a trainer, but this is ten year old children running around with this cash, if you think of it as more like yen then it is easier to understand so 200 poke $ is probably like $1 us currency it is still a couple hundred bucks but it is more understandable plus you have to remember pokeballs are mass produced and are necessary for day to day life and ultra balls are like 1200 a pop, and i think of those as probably not a big deal, so like $20 (probably more like 10-15 max, but I will be generous) tops which is a big deal for ten year old children, but not really that big of a deal for an adult, plus team rocket are always complaining that they don't have money for things like pokeballs because food is a lot more expensive, they are 14 and 15 (or 15 and 16 I don't remember which right now) so yeah they probably eat a lot more which is why it is so much harder to keep enough money for really cheap pokeballs.....it isn't really a pokemon logic problem, it is more of a perspective issue

The Dark Ball did appear in the games… in terms of the name. That is the one that is called Dusk Ball in the localized versions. Pretty much how the Ultra Ball is used to get the Ultra Beasts since the Hyper Ball is called the Ultra Ball in the localized versions.

The thing that aggravates me the most is that the "Old Ball" is a prototype Pokeball and looks nothing like a Pokeball, and yet there are ancient statues (and even Magearna) that DO look like Pokeballs. Seriously WTF Pokemon.
Don't forget about Voltorb and Electrode. What is their connection to the Pokeball and what was there first?
That doesn't mean those worked and/or could have easily been reproduced effectivly. Plus we don't know how recently Voltorb and Electrode really exsisted or if they came off of unusable pokeballs prototypes.
The magearna you mentioned can be found but it is very rare and if even tried to catch it it cannot be caught even with a master ball(but for some reason the magearna can be found to be caught by a npc in a extreme randomizer...)

There is an episode in the Anime (Whischash and Ash) where it is proven, that a Masterball does NOT guarantee a Pokemon to get caught. The fisherman Sullivan trys to catch a unique Whiscash which happens to be HUGE in comparison to the others. He tosses a Masterball at it, and whiscash just swallows it, proving that a Masterball does not actually catch a Pokemon 100% of the time.

the gs ball was actually going to have a bigger role in the anime, having celebi inside.
unfortunately due to reasons they scrapped the entire arc, put the gs ball on a bus, and had celebi for the 4th movie.
i have no idea if the gs ball has celebi in it still.
There's a Pokemon ceiling into might be be the pokeballs which used to been sipping in the color palette that they use and then they might got confused and then just made a green by accident in Pokemon Red and Blue and yellow

This is in fact true, considering (If you've watched DBZ before) that Vegeta's armor was terribly discolored in the first few episodes of DBZ because the artist didn't know what Vegeta was supposed to look like outside of the Manga.

Jeremy Stack yeah but the time it takes to make pokeballs they had already done those first minutes of animation and left it as it was once they moved to the next portions of the episode. Animation is a very long process. But i wonder if it was by then hard enough to re paint the green ball.

Quick ball is the best out side of master ball. It has an 8x catch rate on turn 1 rate when the encounter begins before you attack the pokémon but how ever after attacking it drop to 1x catch rate. So just throw the ball before attacking and get the 8x multiplier. Al lot of people use the quick ball wrong.
Firstly, the shade on the Safari Ball is darker than the green pokeball we see in the Anime, so they are not the same thing.
Also, Misty is known to own a green Pokeball, that houses one of her team members being Politoed, which she got in a trade during the Johto series.

I also think Gengar losing Levitate makes sense because it's the "Shadow" Pokemon, shadows are always casted on the ground and Gengar was always shown coming from the ground.

+MexicanRacoon- Fun fact doduo and dodrio are able to fly... by apparently running so fast they start treading air. They can even learn the HM fly, and when used in the original Pokemon Stadium game you can actually watch the gloriously stupid animation of them desperately treading air to stay airborne.
I'm aware I've been playing Pokemon since Red & Blue. But learning Fly doesn't mean you have to be Flying, Golurk can Fly too. But learning Fly isn't my concern, it's how it's "Flying" when it should be a flightless bird like an Ostrich - "but it's a bird, so it should be Flying" well if that's the case why isn't Empoleon Flying too, or learn Fly for that matter.
I also think they should change "Flying" to "Air" this way Flying Pokemon aren't limited to winged Pokemon. Now then, I can see Doduo and Dodrio as Normal/Air
I seem to remember a bit of left over code in Red & Blue that shows that the flying type was originally the "bird" type, so it is probably left over from that. As a matter of fact, one version of missingno shows up as bird type. That is how they found the type was part of the prototype game. And there is no in game lore stating that Empoleon can fly, but as absurd as it is the in-game lore states that doduo and dodrio CAN fly despite being based on a flightless bird.
Couldn't Sir Aaron's Staff be considered a Pokeball of some sort?? Obviously not a ball, but it has a similar function.

I think Celebi movie had my favorite designed pokeballs (Old Ball and Dark Ball) however I think the Lake Ball looks the most real to me, and he one I want the most if they added these into a main series game.

In the new arceus game they should add pokeball crafting like you can add different types of pokeball parts like the upper part is a quick ball and the lower a lake ball and it lets you catch water types quicker

I always thought about balls like the safari ball, the lake ball for catching the seaking etc were just custom made for these competitions to make sure nobody brought in there pre caught pokemon. Imagine you are a trainer with a huge seaking and came acros this competitions. You could use hand over your pre caught seaking in a regulair ball and win the competitions.
It's interesting to note that the function of the Dark Ball is very similar to the description of Shadow Pokemon from the games Pokemon Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness. Both are artificial means of maxing out a Pokemon's power while shutting off their emotions to turn them into souless fighting machines. Considering the close timeframe, I wouldnt be surprised if one inspired the other.

Since in diamond it's found lying on the ground, I thought I might find another one while on the way to the Spear Pillar and I used it on a bronzong that I barely ever used. Then I cried after accidentally killing dialga. But then, after finally beating Cynthia it appeared again and I started crying because I only had a luxury ball left and it kept breaking out, but I managed to catch it and now I insist a lot when trying to catch things cuz it appears to work

Boiii this should be a thing. Like mog paint in the crystal chronicles ds games and stuff. Paint over the textures and have the design show when used. Tho you'd have to settle with one design shared with every premiere ball until changed
Same here. I would make it look like Elsa’s Fifth Spirit outfit from Frozen II! There are 4 variants. They are the Fire Crystal, Water Crystal, Earth Crystal and Wind Crystal variants. Some more variants are the Unity Snowflake variant, and the famous Snowflake variant from Frozen. Trust me tho, I would love to see my Pokéball designs in a game!
For the mystery green ball I might have an answer as when you catch something in a great ball in the gen two games it turns green like that ball
