The only way that anyone could defeat mega kangaskhan would be an attack form deoxys with max attack and speed evs, coming in from a baton pass ninjask with speed boost as the ability and swords dance as a move, and give the deoxys a life orb as the item, and the one hit move would be superpower

I think so too, I use porygon all the time in the games that its available its ability download is very useful, if a pokemon is very good in the games then it should be featured in the anime

@@arnelarenas1833 yeah, like with the episode with guns, they didn't ban Dratini or Dragonair then. They also didn't ban Tentacruel in the episode where the giant Tentacruel destroyed a city. It truly isn't right what they did to Porygon. I feel that if Porygon was seen again in the next episode after the infamous one, no one would've went and said "oh, this reminds me of the episode that gave kids seizures!" It really was a dumb choice that they made.

The worst part about Porygon getting banned is it wasn’t Porygon that caused the seizures, but rather an attack from Pikachu!

And that’s exactly the problem. By this point it was far too late for them to be like “Welp, we’ll just make Clefairy the mascot”. My only problem is it has been far too long for the ban to still be in effect! They know not to repeat that mistake by now, so it’d be neat to see the Porygon line get featured in even just one modern episode.

Mega Rayquaza is so strong and decently fast that it is flat-out banned from Ubers - previously the highest tier of competitive play - and was the sole reason for a new Tier known as Anything Goes, wherein it is the only Pokemon there (though others can participate in there if they use movesets that would ban them from Ubers but not Anything Goes).
That, and it technically didn't count as a Mega, so you could have a second Mega pokemon - especially ones like Primal Groudon or Primal Kyogre.
@@markusennit9837 it basically was a Mega Pokemon that could have a Choice Item/Life Orb while also being able to mega evolve without a stone

Technically, that one episode with Porygon proves how powerful Porygon is. He hospitalized a whole bunch of children, resulting in Porygon being the most powerful pokemon.

JK C-L Yes, and in gen 3 they both only had shadow tag because hidden abilities did not exist yet. Therefore, they were banned.
Two more fun facts: wobbufett is banned to ubers just becouse he don't have any counters. Smoggon defines "counter" as pokemon that can switch in and out last the opponent when they're both at full health. Until gen iv, no one could switch out if he don't have move that force switch out. Even after gen iv, only pokemon with shadow tag and shed shell could switch out even without switch-out move.
In gen vi and onward, ghost type don't affect from shadow tag.
The other fun fact: wynaut is the only pokemon in ubers and in lil cap.

I think it detects the combination of letters rather than actual words and has a profanity prediction restriction of some kind. "Gabite" has "bit" which the games can possibly predict you trying to type "bitch" while the entire evolution line of "Bulbasaur" has "asaur" which the game probably predicts "ass".
I am russian, and I get only "Pedo" in Sharpedo, "Fag" in "Cofagrigus", and "Ass" in Froslass, Nosepass and Probopass. The other seven are mystery to me

The Bulbasaur Line is banned because it has "Sau" (German for Pig) in it. That's what I've been told at least.
The biggest reason for the wobbafet ban was the shadow tag ability, which prevented the opponent from switching.

The original speed boost ban comes from its accessibility in the Dream World in Gen 5. It was banned in Gen 5 and rebanned in Gen 6.

idk if you remember this in one of the smash tournaments, there was a kid who hacked his console and smash game so that pichu (yes pichu) was more powerful then any other characters. When the judges and players checked the game, they found out the the pichu's stats were op and the other characters were under lvl.

I'd like to say, as a Showdown player, some of these are definitely true. I run a blaziken but the speed boost is op, I thought dobbs was going to talk about porygon 2 and the eviolite, Pretty sure bidoof was actually banned because of his op hidden ability Moody where at the end of every turn, any of the stats would be raised by 2 but one would be lowered by 1. This made bidoof be banned in showdown. Another honorable mention was extreme eeveeboost and baton pass.

You didn't mention Shadow Tag Chandelure? Chandelure was banned before it's hidden ability was released. For context, in gen 5 hidden abilities were introduced and Chandelures was supposed to be Shadow Tag. Homever, Chandelure had no way of getting it's hidden ability besides cheating. In gen 6, the hidden ability was changed to Infiltrator. The reason why it was banned was, because it forced literally every defensive Pokemon to run Shed Shell, or Chandelure would sweep.

Blaziken is actually one of the pokemon that pushed Baton Pass to become banned from OU, another factor shared by some other pokemon that aren't like easy to dispatch. Even Ninjask just can give problems with this, and don't even get started with Eevee's Eevium Z thing that of course gets banned from LC and any tier under OU
