    In response to these…
    - Flareon is an example of Pokemon with a Pokémon whose movepool doesn’t fit its attacking stats. Entei was an example of this until it slowly got more options.
    - Raichu should have gotten the boost with the Light Ball IMO since it’s the evolved form, not only Pikachu.
    - Chandelure’s HA was never released, similar to Serperior’s HA and the Legendary Beasts (Water Absorb, Volt Absorb and Flash Fire). Could have changed the meta in Gen 5.
    - I didn’t like how Darkrai got a nerf with the accuracy of Dark Void. It only being exclusive to it was reasonable but still… Good that PLA returned the original accuracy though.
    - Crits in Gen 1 being dominant made Razor Leaf, a rather weak looking move, be pretty strong.
    - Speaking of different designs, some Pokémon used to have different number of digits. Ursaring and Mr. Mime used to have 4 fingers in earlier sprites/artwork.
    - Tracey is pretty hated from what I heard, as it felt forced for him to be in the anime.
    - GS being the original last games make sense due to how the story was structured.

All Pokémon sprites received an update in Blue, but these updates were usually intended to bring them more in line with their appearance in promotional art and the anime, so Koffing's sprite being changed to make it look less like every other depiction of it is very strange.

      @lassestvring3427 Před rokem +4

      I think people hate freeze more because while Sleep is turn based, meaning you have a set limit of how many turns you stay asleep, Freeze is percentage based, so if luck really isn't on your side and you don't have any fire moves or scald, you can stay locked in place, unable to do anything for much longer.
      Another thing to consider is that Freeze, to my knowledge, can only be applied by damaging moves, meaning you could kind of see it as insult to injury. You take damage and suddenly aren't able to do anything as well. On the other hand sleep can almost only be induced through status attacks where most have a not insignificant risk of missing, meaning your opponent might basically waste their turn, whereas with freeze is more like an added bonus

    In theory Gen 1 Focus Energy could have a use, if you were ever in a scenario where you don't want Crits. As Crits ignore all stat changes, there are times when your Crits would be worse than regular hits.

    Now though mega garchomp is actually quite good in the mat dex format due to it getting scale shot. Hence the speed issue is fixed and you can make use of the higher attack and bulk mega chomp provides. Even special moves are viable since it has 120 special attack. Some may say life orb chomp outdamages its mega which is true but regular chomp usually prefers other items like leftovers anyways. Also life orb chips adds up which is cruicial considering nat dex has a lot of priority. Not saying any form is better than the other but the point is mega chomp isnt strictly outclassed by regular chomp anymore.

      @Gohka Před rokem +2

      I dunno GF have been slowly changing shinies here and there for years. I'm not sure why they choose certain pokémon though, if it was to make them clearer there are shinies that are far worse than even the old Combusken one. Ever seen a shiny Gengar? Personally I can't even see any difference between the normal and shiny version. Garchomp is the same.

Wrap was hell...and Persian with Slash, it did help me once through the Elite Four with how broken it was, in none of my playthroughs did I see it not be a critical hit. It was a very unbalanced game, full of flaws. But the worldbuilding around it was so good that it has stood the test of time for nearly 30 years. And I´m grateful for it, now I get to play Pokemon with my niece and she actually thinks Im cool :D

    Well actually, you made a "mistake"
    Chandelure never had Shadow Tag. It was it's hidden ability in the dream world but there was no way to actually get it because they never made an event with it.
    In the dream world tier on Pokemon showdown, Pokemons that were yet not released with their hidden abilities could use them to see how powerful they would be. Chandelure was broken and quickly got banned.
    Also, not related but the differences in Japan are probably related to how mainstream pokemon is there, and those cute Pokemons would definitely attract people. Plus there are surely a ton of plushies of them.
