      I just got my Gamo magnum Gen2 22. cal today, Crosman Hollow points are accurate up close but fly all over at distance. Tried some Gamo Rockets (these are the ones with the BB inside the tip) they are much larger and heavier. At a 100 yards they were lining up pretty good. Any pellets you find that work well for you?

      @@mentalmoto763 I got my Gamo Swarm Magnum 10X GEN 2 in .22 caliber a weeks ago, I scoped it in with Crosman Hollow points @ 25 yards, I haven't got back to the range, because of all the cold weather, to scope it in @ 50, 75 & 100 yards, with Crosman Hollow points, then some Gamo Rockets & 8 other .22 cal pellets that I have.

    Nice video! I use a Caldwell, and older model, but it still works. I'm looking forward to the next video, I just did some shooting with a springer at 37 yards and was really impressed, wasn't a Gamo, a new one, a new brand I've never tried before. I'm really loving the break barrel, the mag would be really nice. I've always liked Gamo, don't know if they are for me personally, but nice guns from what I've seen.

    • @TheDollarSportsman
      @TheDollarSportsman  Před 4 lety +1

      Charles uh60m the first one I owned I sent back because there was something wrong with it. The next two that I’ve shot (the first one being in this video and the second in a recent rabbit hunting video) have both had solid accuracy. It’s important to make sure the bolts holding the stock on are tight and that you’re using a good hold, then watch it work 😎. Also they all require a break-in period of a couple hundred shots (though my last one really broke in fast).

      As someone who owns a Gen 1 Magnum, I can tell you it took a long time to to really break it in. Almost a whole 500 count tin of crosman premier. But lately I've been using it to shoot a medium size frying pan from about 40-50 yards, from a rest, and it works well enough for that if you do your part.
      Also; this is using a fixed 7x UTG Hunter scope on an aftermarket ZR mount. The stock recoil absorber and scope that's mounted on it are kind of a joke.

    With Gamo Red Fire in .177, my Magnum sends them downrange at just over supersonic, 1120 fps, and I can shoot a 3 round group at 10 yds which is 1 hole. Your statement "let the barrel get 'used' to the pellet" makes no sense. You don't have to worry about 'cold' vs 'warm' barrel with a pellet gun like you do with a true rifle.
