I've watched The Blair Witch Project probably 30 times in my life and the last 30 minutes gets very intense you can see them unraveling. If you put yourself in their situation you can't get out of the woods you're out of food you're out of water this is an amazing movie
Hearing you talk about the mystique surrounding the original Blair Witch is so cool. I was born in 92 so I do have vague memories of my parents and older cousins talking about how different and "real" it was. I am happy that I am old enough to have been able to briefly witness the world prior to smartphones and social media. It seemed like such a simpler and "magical" place from an entertainment lens.
Ever notice the strength that made the blair witch project so effective was it's mystery and keeping things secretive. But the most obvious greatest weakness blumhouse has is the exact opposite. They have to change the marketing strategy in order to make this work...just thinking. Go Jays!
I think Blair Witch as a whole tends to induce eyerolls amongst the general movie going audience these days. There's no getting by on nostalgia. If they want it to be successful, it's going to have to be a damn good movie.
Absolutely God awful idea. Count me out. BW was a one shot phenomenon, it will never, ever, happen again. If you werent there, you missed it.

Blumhouse are starting to remind me of The Asylum production company. They make relatively low budget movies, not caring if the product is good or not. As long as they make a profit, that's all that matters to them regardless of quality. Blumhouse take it one step further and use existing properties, because they are more or less guaranteed "bums on seats". Very clever

They should remake "The devil rides out" the original is great but with todays special effects they could do something pretty special
Jesus why!!? This studio in particular is meh. They should just start coming out with their own IPs instead of ruining already bad ones 😋 (I'm lookin at you Blair lol) are they gonna bring back another crap one like "I still know" too?
They dropped the ball with iconic ones like Halloween and Exorcist too.. I can only imagine how this one is going to go coz I learned my lesson after Halloween Ends 🤦♂️😂

Anything blumhouse touches turns to complete trash! I hated the new halloween trilogy even the new exorcist was completely utter dog crap.
Even when blumhoues has a original story that sounds like it would be cool they somehow turn it into garbage. Take the Purge sound like a new fun idea with endless possibilities. Instead they wasted the idea With endless amounts of woke political and racial Messages.

The film wasn't any good. It was successful on hype and the idea that this event was real. You can't replicate that.
Rebooting a terrible franchise that only got famous off a gimmick and how dumb and unaware people were to said gimmicks at the time, is most definitely a losing battle.
