To those of you who can’t get enough of Kris Carr (like myself) check out her podcast Two Filthy Casuals. It’s done with Amy Newman who also used to be on TJCS. It’s pretty great.
Thank you for this
Not gonna lie I’d be pissed if it was my family member that died on set because someone couldn’t be bothered to do their job properly. You’re employed to protect the lives of the people on set, if you chose not to do your job and someone got killed as a result, 18 months is not enough. No, she did not intent to get anyone killed but, she knew by not doing her job properly someone could get killed as a result. That’s my measly 2 pence anyways 🤷🏾♂️.
It's the main part of the armorer's job!!!!!
So sad that a life is only worth a year and a half in jail....
Did I miss the change coming to the show? They're leaving the studio? Is something happening to kris?
To be honest. I got moving to big studio when they were doing multiple videos a day, but it seems to be waste of money to rent studio space to do one show🤷♂️
Lol why would you think something is happening to Kris? They're moving studio, that's all. They've mentioned it a few times but haven't brought a lot of attention to it.
Henry looks younger than all the other James Bonds except Sean when they started. Plus Henry is in better shape by a mile 😂
Another great episode, yall…! 😊
the prop gun was being used for target practice after shooting scenes for the day. i can only speculate the live rounds were left in gun or got mixed up. as for manufacture making dummy round / blanks.. the armorer actually makes the blank rounds. everything is the same accept for the amount of gunpowder within the round itself.
Sadly, the Armourer has never taken any portion of the responsibility even when she briefly spoke at her sentencing; her finger has pointed at everyone else. 🤷
I love Guiy Ritchies movies, my favorit is The Gentlemen (it was Snatch for a long time), I am quite pissed, we do not have a German release date yet!
I gotta check out more Guy Ritchie films. The only ones I’ve seen are the RDJ Sherlock Holmes movies, and I ADORE those films!
Lol and they are no great examples of what a Guy Ritchie film is. Check out Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and Snatch, to see proper Guy Ritchie.
His movie The Covenant last year was really good!
@@alexp601Sad that it made such little money. It was one of my favorites of the year
Regarding James Bond... Roger Moore was 45 when he started... Dalton 41, Craig 38, Brosnan 42...
And Moore got way too old to play Bond, Dalton rejected GoldenEye because he thought he was too old, and Brosnan’s tenure as Bond was just 7 years.
I get it, but I think something to consider is the fact that it takes longer for them to make bond movies now. During Moore’s time, they got 6 films done in 12 years. But it took Craig 15 years to make 5 movies. I’d rather them get someone younger to make 5 films in 15-20 years (even though I still think Cavill would’ve been great)
Effing Gambits brains out had me choking on my drink at work
my theory for how live rounds got on set is between production days someone probably brought live rounds set up a row of cans did some target practice for fun then put the gun back and whoever did that is keeping their mouth shut. if that's the case that makes me wonder if the gun was in a safe or just on a shelf somewhere where anyone can grab it.
They should never use real guns on sets, period. They should have prop guns that use prop ammo, and it should be clear when you're given an actual real gun. Dummy rounds shouldn't be used in real guns. Real guns have no place on a set, even if used 'just for fun' in downtime.
Daniel Craig was 38 when his first Bond film was released. Pierce Brosnan was 42. Timothy Dalton was 43. Why on earth would he think he's too old? Roger Moore started at 37 and ended at 56,
Bob Denver was 29 when he started as Gilligan in 1964.
i heard in a news report there was at least 6 live rounds on the Rust set
Last night's episode of shogun was again amazing. One more ep
Thank you someone mentioned it, great episode
It was spectacular. Damn straight.
John, Guy Ritchie did direct the first 2 episodes of The Gentlemen series
I have a question: shouldn’t be that all involve on passing and saying the gun is safe without checking it be somehow responsible? Yeah it was her job, but isnt everybodys job to check the gun every time is passed to another person? Is kind of unfair for only one person to be responsible for something thats was handled by a team? Even me that im
Not an expert on guns or handling of guns knows any time some hangs me a gun and tell me is empty, By rule i have to double check it, and if a oassed it for them to double check it?? Its weird
John, and anyone else interested in the aging topic related to talks of Henry Cavill being James Bond, there's a video by Vsauce here on CZcams called, "Did People Used to Look Older?" I highly recommended watching it.
I would post the link but I think CZcams usually pulls those comments down
Technicolor did nothing for youthful appearances🤣
If he was from the Man From UNCLE days hed be perfect
whenever tmnt gets brought up, john says "teenage mmnhnmn inja turtles" really fast. adding on to this, hollywood reporter gets mentioned by him like "hollyOOd reporter" with no W like he's allergic to the letter 😂😂😂😂😂
Must be his canadianism
@@factualopinion4275Sadly, after years of research, there is still no cure for it
Lol..all those age comparisons😆🤣😂
Is the John Campea show moving studios ?
honestly I doubt because John said they only have another year or two until he retires. If they do, I het they downsize
They are moving back into his house since their lease is up and they don’t need as much space now.
Yeah, their lease on the studio is up at the end of April so they’re heading back to his house/remote since we’re only getting about a year+ more of the show.
As everyone said above. He's moving back to his house and everyone would be remotely. He only has about a year before he says he's retiring. So, he's in the endgame now.
That means Campea and Kristian are both going to be remote-focused from the summer onwards. Sucks, as live in-person shows are so great, but it is what it is. Hopefully they're still great shows (I'm sure they will be)
Where is Kris? I know last week during she was moving. Is she still moving? Just curious.
Roger Moore is older than Sean Connery and nade his first Bond when he was 45. Did 6 movies in total, the same as Craig. So Cavill can still play Bond and easily make at least 5 films.
Roger Moore really looked old in his Bond films though, especially in his last couple of films where it was clear he couldn't do that much action, and felt weird putting him next to younger women
@@alexp601 Won't be the same with Cavill. Even here they say that people in their 30's back then look as people in their late 40's today.
I believe I heard somewhere that the mutant collars are radioactive/poisonous.
I enjoyed the ungentlemanly warfare movie but it was a bit too long, im really looking forward to challengers!
tom cruise has played ethan hunt near 30 years and his role is pretty physical I think caville can do at leest 15 years of bond
I'd rather see a 35 yr old Bond than a 55 yr old Bond
@@alexp601 Yes but i asumming when they start being bond, obviously I am not saying some start being bond in the 50s
No in other news movie new section today?
Is John moving to another studio? During the intro after he mentions his studio, he says “at least for a few more days” 🤔
I believe he’s moving it back to his home. He took that space when he had a different growth plan (remember all of the new hires a couple of years ago?). He also plans on retiring in a year or so.
@@kaponosucks I don’t know what you’re laughing at. He’s been pretty open about the fact that he wants to retire after Superman.
@@kaponosuckshe’s always said that he wants to stop and enjoy retirement when he can still enjoy it. I believe he mentioned he may do something monthly so I guess he technically wouldn’t be retired, but even if he stopped I don’t think it’s hilarious. Some people want to just relax without having to prep for a show the next day
@@kaponosuckstroll
@@kaponosucks he doesnt just read the movie news though. There’s more to the show than “read movie news”
reports of target practice with live rounds between takes are out there. People even walked off the production due to safety concerns.
I believe those reports were debunked.
Yeah, as John said. I saw those reports but were definitely debunked.
@@Magdalena8008s Debunked by who?Where can I go to read about this debunking? People quitting and walking off the set due to unsafe conditions, was that also debunked? The fact is live rounds were on the set and a little target practice in the desert is as good an explanation as any.
Is kriss carr no longer on the show? I noticed her days were Tuesday Thursday and Fridays and now she's not on her Tuesday's with no mention of it...... 🤔 Interesting.....
I was thinking the same thing. But she is on another CZcams podcast tho
If John moves back to his house, he’ll hopefully now free up overhead to bring Kris back regularly…
Is that whats gonna happen? I thought when they moved to a studio there was big plans and everything. @computerboy2k
@gusweb646 what other show? You mean Harloff? Or somewhere else?
She’s been really busy the last few months if you’ve paid attention. Doing gigs, auditioning and just recently, MOVING.
Not surprising that Keanu is in that much of Ballerina, considering that Keanu is third billed behind De Armas and Huston
@@KhalidQuesada Yes but billing usually indicates how big of a role an actor has
@KhalidQuesada as the person above me said. They actually indicate something. Not always, but in most cases.
Was anyone charged when Brandon Lee was killed in a similar accident during the making of the crow?
No
@@johncampea interesting 🤔
She could have gotten less of a harsh sentence, had she shown remorse for her actions and the person whose life was taken. But after watching the sentence hearing, clearly she didn't care much.
Wouldn't use of the word 'rodomontade' be itself 'rodomontade'?
Didn't enjoy Big Bang, but Young Sheldon is actually really good.
I agree. Big Bang is ridiculous. But Young Sheldon is something great. If only Big Bang was like Young Sheldon. Big Bang could have been something special.
Adrian Monk and the fake knife. Completely butchered that.
I don't like the intro but what happened to it
Daniel Craig looked like he was in his 40s and Sean Connory looked like he was in his 50s. Henry doesn't look that old but yes, age wise he's pushing the "too old" category to restart a Bond franchise.
Why was Baldwin aiming and pulling the trigger at the cinematographer?
I think it was for a shot for the movie. So the scene would’ve been Baldwin’s character pointing the gun and shooting right at the camera, and unfortunately that resulted in shooting the cinematographer
Shots with the gun pointed and firing at or near the camera are common, pay attention and you'll start noticing it.
She is not the only one that should be accountable the assistant director, and the actor that pulled the trigger. You can’t tell me Alec Baldwin never held a gun with live ammunition and can’t tell the difference between blanks. The weight is different. He’s been a part of many movies that he’s held a firearm. Just my opinion.
You can't prove that.
You’re right! I cannot prove that. That’s why I ended my comment by saying in my opinion. When I hold my firearms there is a weight difference from live ammunition to nothing. Blanks feel different from live ammunition. Again I said my opinion. I’m not judge or jury. More than just that one woman should have been charged. Safety is the responsibility of all on set it’s not a one persons responsibility.
Baldwin will most likely be held accountable. His trial is in July and based on all the current filings is going to be quite interesting. The AD plead guilty and served his probation already. She was offered a plea deal but as part of the plea she was required to admit where the live rounds came from and she refused. She only got the max sentence because in her jailhouse conversations she showed no remorse and was trying to plot to still have access to guns among other things
Fake rounds are much better than CGI. They have real pieces moving, recoil, and it makes the actor know they are firing an actual gun. Also, gun safety is sadly super easy, but not taken seriously.
Also, why does an actor not have legal responsibility for checking the firearm? It's kinda of basic knowledge, especially if you've worked on multiple films.
I'm sure you grew up in a gun safety oriented environment so you dont understand how foreign this is to actors that dont do it all the time, also any activity involving explosives and firearms will have accidents on a long enough timeline
That's easy. They hire someone to do that instead, a professional. This was awful but I would prefer a professional armorer be in charge of gun safety than someone who plays make-believe for a living
