    This podcast is such a luxury now. The launch was rough actually, with Tony trying to hard I think., and mic levels were really off. Great work! And we get Pierre and those at his standard even with the Habs not in the playoffs. Thanks guys!

    Great podcast Tony! Would love to see a reverse, how do the habs stack up against the up and coming teams! Maybe that’s already in the cards! I love Pierre but when is George coming back!?

    It is unbelievable that Boston can still put together a good team together without hardly going through resets nor rebuilds...Boston is a franchise which attracts more easily players/free agents...like Vegas, Florida and New-York !!!

  • @calvee123
    @calvee123 Před 15 dny +1

    Its nice to have "Hope" that some type of Free Agents would love to come and sign in Montreal, but realistic, just the taxes alone when you compare this to states like Texas and others where there is 0 State Tax, there is no comparison. Maybe the Quebec legislature could put some type of "tax Break for Montreal Canadien Players" .... not likely, but one can dream...

    All Boston forward are two way players!!!! How many Mtl got it???

  • @coreysghostglowmask8650

    The deputy and Tuch are pretty much 4th liners or 3rd at their best... you can compare with Boston BIG built... lol

    Suzuki going on 25 needs to do what Crosby figured out at 18, 19, 20?

      Looking at certain teams in the playoffs, Montreal is so far away from winning a cup. The size and talent in Florida, Dallas, Las Vegas, Colorado and even Edmonton are just amazing...!!!

      @@powers1500 - Sadly you are correct and they need to hit a home run and hope they win the lottery. I've said it before, but unless Slafkovsky turns into Jagr, they don't have the firepower to beat the other teams they expect to compete against down the road. I dare say even without a cup, at age 27 McDavid is better than anyone Montreal has had in my lifetime (Guy Lafleur). Pretty much everytime he's on the ice, I expect something good to happen. Is Dach ever going to be the player he would have been if he wasn't missing all the games? They have to get better for sure.

      @@rgood1204 I have been like you an habs fan for a long time. Nowadays, Canadian teams cannot compete anymore against US team because of the salary cap...It costs more money to do hockey business in Canada...plus players and their families somehow appreciate life better off the ice in certain US cities, so forget about signing good free agents at decent price...Therefore Montreal has to build through the draft eventhough certain fans/media don't like it !!!

      @rgood1204 Před 14 dny +1

      @@powers1500 - I read an article about Nathan Mackinnon and how being one of the 5 best players in the world (maybe top 3) being able to put on a baseball cap and walk around Denver, much like Vinny Lecavalier in Florida without being under the scrutiny/microscope. There is something to be said for having a bit of privacy. Drouin crumpled under the pressure in Montreal and some thought he might be out of the league. He goes to Colorado and has the best season of his career. Never hurts to have elite teammates, but he may have salvaged his career. Yes, they have to build through the draft, because MSL or not, elite level players just have not shown an interest in coming to Montreal.

      @powers1500 Před 14 dny

      @@rgood1204 I could not have said it better...If Montreal really wants a cup contending team one day, they will need to do much better at the draft than Slaf and Reinbacher, two very good players/prospects but far from being elite talent...But in Montreal, as long as the Canadiens make the playoffs, most fans/ media will be happy !!!

    The entire Tsn990 loved to mock Bob Cole so I don't know how genuine Tony's words are.

      Come on! There is a difference in mocking someone, if Tony did, I don’t know, and paying respect for somebody’s life! I think Tony is an empathetic person… Be nice! I will give you a flower! 🌺 😉

      You're right. Tony's a good guy and I believe his words are genuine so I'd like to retract that part of my statement but he and his TSN990 colleagues used to mercilessly mock Bob's verbal gaffs and antiquated figures of speech and saying how he should've retired long ago. I thought it often bordered on being cruel and malicious.
