PC gamers all across the internet will say that price to performance is everything when it comes to hardware. In that case, why is the RTX 3060 the third most popular graphics card in the world, when the RX 6650 XT is both higher performing and cheaper?

If you have the money to spend, the RX 6700 XT is another amazing option! Can usually be found for $320-$350, offers excellent performance, and to the folks out there who are worried about VRAM and longevity, it comes with 12GB of VRAM! It may be an option worth looking into. 👍
I just picked one up from newegg for $320 with a free game
in my country they are expensive u_u
@@Renekor same brother
For sure! Love the price point of the 6700XT as well
This whole VRAM discussion is a marketing ploy from GPU companies... They just want you to think that 8GB is not sufficient enough so that you shell out more money on 12GB+ GPUs.
You can get the better RX 6700 (Non-XT) for around $280 right now as well. It performs better than the 6650xt as it has more ram, 10gb @ 160bit vs 8gb & 128bit, and more CUs, 36 CUs vs 32 CUs or 256 more stream processors. Both use the same power, but one is obviously more. It is a deal on new egg, but this has been the case from Sapphire for a few weeks now. I bought one last week.
I got my Intel ARC A770. I'm good for awhile.
Got one for 270 euros almost brand new and mate does it pack a punch. Only lil' bummer is the 10gb since as we see we're moving to heavier and heavier games but I'd buy it over the 3060ti and 3070 especially for that price
@@phoenixrising4995 I honestly contemplated the Intel 750/70 series before getting the 6700 myself. Part of it was price, the 770's went up in price, and two, it wasn't mature enough for reliability as I actually work on this machine. Though much better, I needed to be able to reliably keep stability. I am looking at a 700 series for my basement gaming PC though, but I may just swap out the 5600 xt I replaced (because it wasn't reliable enough because MSI did not directly cool the Memory on the unit I bought, instead used a sandwich plate of heatpad, plate, another pad, cooler.... it was not good as the memory would over heat and crash.) Not a issue with the Sapphire 6700 though as it has a more direct cooling solution for memory.
Don't forget it has pcie x16
@@crawfordbrown75 Throughput may not actually need the full x16 bus. But yes, it can help with other factors so it is a win.
6:26 Even though the TDP of the RX 6650 XT is 180w, don’t be too worried about it, as I have the same exact variant of the card shown in this video and it draws about 143w under full load at stock.
I don't think anyone is worried about a 180w gpu, and if you are you shouldn't be buying it. Gpus have been at that watt range for the last 10 years
I'd say that you want to limit power draw then limit FPS to conserve power. Then the 150watt is something you only hit sporadically in the busiest sections of games, and it's much quieter/cooler.
Finally, someone agrees with me. I’ve been saying this for so long. AMD is better value all around

I built a budget PC using 2nd hand parts couple months ago. For GPU, I was going to go with a used RX 5700XT however my master's work would require to learn ai/ml. So sadly, I had to hunt a 2nd hand 3060 12 gb. Thankfully, I got it around 190$. I would recommend it to anyone doing cuda/ml related work on a budget.
what a deal !
just the comment i needed to see. wasn't sure which nvidia gpu to get on a budget
Yes, I got mine too at 190$ second hand.
This. This a hundred times over. A brand new Zotac 3060 12gb was 250 USD, and I think an Asus dual or MSI can still be found on Amazon and Newegg for under 300 brand new. They're workhorse cards- not as fast as the newer ones, but when those start OOMing at 8GB, you'll be thankful for the extra cache.
Would you consider a comparison of the RTX 3060-12GB with the RX 6700xt-12GB which have very similar prices recently?
No need, 6700XT is so far ahead in rasterized that in all but a few fringe Raytracing cases the 6700XT is either even or beats 3060 even when you turn RT on. Unless your use case specifically requires like, NVENC, 3060 is overpriced and underperforms in 95% of normal gaming use. 6700XT goes on sale for $315 regularly new, 3060 12GB is hard to even find for $315 used. I don't know why Nvidia kids keep paying more for less, it's crazy.
Yep, even better value if it's at the right price!
In germany prices for the RTX 3060 are way cheaper right now 🤷♂
6700xt beats 3060 out of the water don't even bother looking for comparisons
The 3060 12gb is on sale now 240-300 at my best buy
RX 6800 has been incredible for gaming. Crushes all the Ultra/High settings. RT is fine, but I almost never notice massive improvements in reflections and lighting enhancing the gaming experience because I'm too busy playing the game.
Normal rasterization looks exactly the same as RT for me tbh
@@renicovandyk6408 RT does look better, but not $500-1000 better. Stop to look at a puddle or a reflection once ever 100 hours.
Well i bought rtx 3060 last year for 450 eur. Its much cheaper today yes, but before that i've used gtx 1050 ti and after upgrading to rtx 3060 my pc gaming experience got tremendously better. AMD best performance
@@NarkoHamponTV extra vram can help with things other then gaming tho, plus its more futureproof
I'd sooner have the 12GB 3060. Here in the UK there's a £30 difference between the two cards which is a negligible amount. Plus, I've currently got a GTX 1070 and going from 8GB to 8GB in 2023 seems crazy, especially when the aforementioned card is 7 years old.
Base 3060 12gb is still worse 😂
You're definitely going to regret that decision. 8gb for gaming in 2023? Lol. 12gb-16gb is the bare minimum now.
@@Sergmanny46 You just saw a 12 minute video proving you wrong and you still say that 🤣 VRAM is often a marketing strategy, sure 12GB is better for future-proofness but if it can't compete with a cheaper 8GB GPU then it won't keep up when games actually demand 12 GB of VRAM
@@pedrovignoli1124 Which is why you buy a decent GPU with decent components and sufficient VRAM. It's a balance. If you have 24 GB but shit components you're not going to get too far. It's just memory at the end of the day. Same goes for good components but only 4-8GB VRAM. Stutters will happen either way.
But people being so stingy/poor they won't do that and instead keep buying whatever cheapest GPU they can find, even if it's running on old generation/borderline outdated technology.
Why do you think every single youtuber "tech" and their mothers are calling the 4060 ti trash and tell everyone to not buy it? Because despite being a decent GPU, it has low VRAM. The 16GB version however will be much better simply because it has more memory for the 1080/1440 demanding games.
@@pedrovignoli1124 It's not futureproof anyway, because no amount of memory can make up for the GPU itself.

I'm planning to go nvidia just because of the sytem latency and the nvidia reflex is according to some is BETTER than the radeon anti lag. Is this accurate?
Thanks for the HELP
I would agree, but I once had to unpack AMD drivers and modify them to work. I from that moment wouldn't go back to their cards.
Their processors are amazing though.
The problem is 6650 XT only has 8GB of vram. I know the 12G on 3060 is kind of excessive, but between excessive and not enough, I choose excessive when it comes to vram.
6700xt is still a better option
The 3060 is a great option if you're doing video/3D rendering, modeling, as well as AI/ML programs. Most workstation software is built around Nvidia tech and the AMD cards tend to have compatibility problems.
That said if you're buying a gpu to game, the AMD cards are the way to go. The 3060 (now available for $280 USD) would make a fantastic card for people wanting to build a workstation PC on a budget.
^ This. because Nvidia's cuda cores still top the charts for AI use and content creation and these are both vram gated, the 3060 12GB will remain a solid budget performer for these uses.
On the other hand, there are AMD and Intel options that smack the 3060 12GB up now at the same price without compromising on that vram (though Intel's support is still so niche it's just a toy at the moment).
The winner in this case is just not as clear cut as the video maker makes it out to be. As a price sensitive consumer, I'd jump on team Red or Blue the moment either outperforms Nvidia in content creation for less buck. But that's still one or two generations away, so for now I'm stuck with abusive partner Nvidia. In the meantime, the rtx3060's performance is not so bad that it makes life not worth living. Although whoever came up with the 8gb version really should be hung, drawn, and quartered...
In india currently rtx3060ti is 424$ approx and 6700 xt is 404$ approx. Both are asus dual models. So amd is the clear winner imo.
I recently bought a used 3060ti for 175$ approx and now i know why i got that deal. 8 gb will not gonna cut it in upcoming titles.

I have a 6650 XT and not only do I suffer with micro stutters, but some games and even programs end up either lagging for no reason or have major graphical glitches. something which didn't occur on either of my Intel IGPU laptops. idk if it's the games/programs themselves that are just incompatible or if my actual GPU is defective but it's a problem I face. I believe my GPU is the XFX Speedster model.. here are a list of affected programs/games: Mega Man Legacy Collection, FictionSphere, Out-Class Hunter (tbf, this could just be the devs not optimizing their UE game very well. which is very easy to do with UE), 20XX, VLC, VideoPad (tbf this is a very outdated version but I never had this kind of issue on either laptop so I'm including it). now this is all that I've tested. if anyone can confirm that they share these issues' that would be great. ALSO my CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core and my motherboard (if it matters) is an Asus ROG Strix B350-F Gaming. my RAM is Silicon Power GAMING 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory. idk if that matters either
Are you comparing it with RTX 3060 192 bud ( 12 GB ) or RTX 3060 256 bit bus ( 8 GB ) , i am not an expert but i have heard bus width matters so 192 bit bus might be making the 3060 ( 12GB ) version a bit slower
I think Intel Arc a750 costs 200 and better than both of them and now with latest driver update, they made it much better. Intel keeps improving its performance
If you will see the power consumption you will change your opinion.
i can confirm the 6650xt is very good, although i have a weird driver thing that makes dx11 games pretty stuttery

I recently found a 3060 12 GB for $300, not so much as to call it cheap but considering it was new and 30% off I just had to bite the bullet and snag one. Mainly considering ive been using a 1060 3GB for a LONG time now, like 6-8 years or so I just had to finally upgrade cause all the games I like or want to play require a minimum of a 4+ GB graphics card. I have yet to get it yet as it should arrive in the next 4 days or so, but I'm absolutely stoked to get it and cant wait to not be forced to play games with all settings on off or low and look like pixels or garbage with very spotty or all around low FPS.
How did the upgrade go? I also use a 1060 and understand that an update might be a good idea :D
Worth the penny?
@@christinekuhrt1179 I mean depending on financial situations (though mine isnt the best) I would say it was pretty worth it, I can play pretty much every game I have on max quality and still be above 60 FPS. Even games like cyberpunk I can max the quality on, although I do still need to use DLSS for it to be above 60 FPS but DLSS is awesome anyways so its not a downside imo. For used bargains, the 5700xt regularly goes for under 200$ shipped from China. It doesn't perform that much worse compared to the 6600xt. For an even more budget option, there's the 5700 non xt which can be flashed to the xt bios to squeeze out a big more performance.

Talking about RX 6650XT, this was recommended to me by a YT user which will be compatible for my AMD Ryzen 7 5700G. Hoping this would be my final choice of graphics card model, and now I am looking for this - whatever it is XFX or MSI.

Would there be any drivers issue that i might face running Ubuntu as Vm in amd gpus?
I personally main (but not solely) Nvidia gpus over the past ~20+ years and have experienced more driver issues or game bugs on them than the couple instances of AMD Radeon software for gaming. I’m yet to have any driver issue on AMD (other than hair works - Nvidia tech and one game glitch which was fixed eventually). It’s much of a muchness imo. Both brands have given me great gaming memories and experiences and regardless of the choice of GPU people have: Intel, AMD or Nvidia…. We’re all gamers so be happy for each other, help each other and not criticise other for their choice of hardware!!!

I have both AMD and Nvidia cards. I can explain very quickly why Nvidia is better. 1 The future is not for dumb performance, but for technologies like DLSS 3, soon we will reach the ceiling of simple performance and we will need technologies. Nvidia is investing heavily in their development. Their application is more convenient, useful and simpler. RTX 3060 in many years will be relevant thanks to future technologies, and AMD will turn into a pumpkin.
You are 100% right.
Except they only make new technologies available to their new cards so your point makes no sense.
exactly how? didnt they just threw theyr entire 30 series user base under the bus with DLSS 2 (NOT compatible with 30 series, and you can bet your ass that DLSS 3 is not gonna be compatible with 40 series, i ASSURE it IS compatible they just need some artificial way to force people to buy newer cards every 2 years, FSR may look like shit but it works an any card on any game even on Nvidia cards, and if you dont push it too hard it actually looks good 720-1080 upscale, or 1080 to 1440, dont go crazy trying to upscale 480-4k
" future technology". Where is it? I have 3060ti and there's no dlss3 support. Don't know what future you're talking about. I'm thinking to sell this crap and buy 6700xt 😢
This is the most copium Nvidia fanboy comment i've seen. Their "technology" is made just to give the false sense that the product is better than it actually is by giving you fake frames to boost up that sweet, sweet framerate number, while crippling the amount of VRAM and its memory bit bus. The application argument is also complete bogus, you have clearly not used the AMD Adrenalin control panel before, there's way more features there for things like overclocking, while Nvidia is still on their oudated 2000's looking control panel. Also, i really don't understand why you are mentioning DLSS 3, if the talk is about 3060, which only supports DLSS 2 and has maybe 5% less rasterized performance than a 4060, while costing at least a $100-$150 less than a 4060.
we buy Nvidia, because we are NOT teenagers that are using PC only for games. Productivity wise even 6850 score is similar to 3060 and my 2070 in some GPU accelerated workflows. Without proper support for productivity applications, no matter how great is this card for gaming it could be not just slow, but could be completely useless if it is not supported at all.
Get a 4090 broke boy
I just bought one ASUS 3060 12GB VRAM for 339€ and let me tell you, the card is a little diamond. 12GB VRAM also let me disable paging file. I'd also wait for the 7600 but has only 8GB VRAM and it's more expensive. Furthermore, I only go for Nvidia. The cheapest 6700XT is 420€ but consumes a lot more energy. Anyway, depending on the price, you can't go wrong on either one.
So is it better for streaming?
As a game developer and not a gamer, the RTX line is all I'll ever use anymore. You can't get better results with renders and procedural generation. Not to mention when testing the reliability is unbeatable. As for playing games, hard core that is and not just for research play for ideas. I can't really say what gpu would be better. I just don't game like that anymore. But for developing my go to will always be NVIDIA.
However when I get back into gaming one day after retirement or if the earge to actually game comes back, I'll build a few different pc's and edit this comment to say what one I feel is superior.
Tbh if you're into content creation field...then nvidia is the only option
Agreed, though unfortunately for this price point you're required to purchase the 3x fan. The vast majority of 2x fan 6650 are $350++, and now the 3060 is $250. Not only that, but I think the majority of 3060 purchasers are similar to myself, and needing something with the smallest form factor possible, and the 3060 is available in the single fan variant. Trust me, I really, really want to support AMD over NVIDIA like the entirety of humanity, but I need a mini GPU, and as of now, the 3060 is the best bang for your buck with the mini gpus. Please tell me you know something that I don't tho? Is there a different single md1 md2/ single fan option in this price point, that has similar performance?

I guess you won't find any radeon GPU with single fan config (as of now), but that's very specific... 2 fan config is where mini build still use.
Have you seen the Asrock Challenger for RX 6650 xt or Sapphire 7600? both of them have a relatively small form factor.
Hey Zach, I have a question hopefully you can answer this. But I was wondering if $210 was a good deal for a XFX 6650 xt from eBay brand new ?
i just picked up my A770 16GB this week for my first pc build - hoping the value is good, just waiting on my PSU to finish building :)
cheapest 16gig card right now if im not mistaken, and great value, but it does has some nasty issues with some games still, (drivers issues mostly, hope theyll correct them all)
@@enriquedossantos3283 been okay so far, still having troubles on certain games based on older DX versions but I know intel is actively working on that still :)
I believe you miss a few points. The rtx 3060's popularity is likely due to the fact it might be cheaper than the rx6650xt in several markets. For instance in some asian markets the 3060 is cheaper than the rx6600xt. The 3060ti might be cheaper than the 6700xt, etc.
Also, OEM's might pair nvidia cards into their prebuilts more than AMD so thats another margin where nvidia would win.
Its not as easy as ''AMD is cheaper" because AMD tends to generally be cheaper in only a few markets. NOT in every market. And the top 2 cards on steam, the 1060 and 1650, had plenty of sales on laptops too, a market AMD completely sucks and is absent in meaning their share is even lower by that.
To sum up, AMD is only competitive in DIY markets. They fail in the professional market (nvidia has better productivity), fail in the laptop market and fail in the pre built market on GPU's. Why do you think nvidia outsells AMD by such a large margin?
Ive been saying this since day 1
yeah but thats a 12 gb vs 8 gb, so..?? like if I'm doing something other then gaming will a 6650 still be able to handle the same amount of stress as the 3060 12gb?
Just saw this video after buying one 😅 any advice for a cpu to combine with it? I need an upgrade lollllll I also feel kinda shit now lol…
the Amd is pretty useless for video encoding or in stable diffusion. not everyone just use gpu for gaming only
Either get a 3060TI or go AMD and get a top tier card for relatively cheap. Even the RX 5700XT is still a great buy for entry level builders and it's relatively very cheap nowadays.
so the fact the 3060 has more vram doesnt matter?
I am not sure which GPU to pick
The games that I play are Fortnite and Valorant.
Thinking about Rx 6700xt or 3060/ti
Is Fortnite still stuttering on amd gpus?
yes fortnite is really bad i got an rx 6650xt 2 mnths ago and only recently refunded it bc of how poorly fortnite performance mode was and dx 12 is 2-3x more delay and more visual destruction aka seeing zone and weather changes i think 3060 ti is probably the better option over 12gb rtx 3060 since fortnite/valorant arent vram hungry unlike triple A games
I use the arc a750 and I'm happy with this gpu .😊
and the drivers getting better and better
@Mr. ElectronX Yes they are 😁😁👍👍
I daily drove it for a few months and enjoyed it as well! It's only getting better over time too
@Zach's Tech Turf in the beginning it was little buggy but now it's fine ...😊

what about the RX 6600xt? Is it also a good graphics card?
I recently went from a 1080ti to a 6700XT. I have a Ryzen 5600. I play mainly FPS games like Apex, Overwatch, and fornite. I don't mind turning settings down a bit to get 100+ fps, do you think it's worth upgrading from 1080p to 1440p and do you think my PC could handle it?
Your pc can handle it for sure. 1440p should be atleast 60fps on every game on this settings. Let me put it this way. Your config has less bottleneck (almost none) on 1440p then it has on 1080. I think I said everyrthing. You will be fine.
Good card for 1440p but I'll stick to my 240 1080p monitor
The NVidia has ray tracing... it also has 12gb of Vram.... Almost double that of the cheaper one. A quick CZcams comparison video shows that the NVidia performs great. Almost doubling fps in most games compared to a 1660 gtx, which also has no ray tracing, similar to the cheaper one on this video. (Also your sponsor looks super sketchy and i hope no one here actually gives them any personal information)
@@ScrakSFMs I play a wide variety of games. The 1660 or any card with 6 to 8 gb of vram because as soon as expolsions start happening on screen or chaos or multiple things in gerner, where the 3060 has 12 gb of vram, so most of the time it doesnt even struggle. To buy a 1660 gtx oc , with multi monitor support, and vr, youd expect it to hand 1440 p, which it does well. Any games that have alot going on in a scence such as expolions tress blowing, all impact the vram. If you have 6, its gonna use it all, sometimes needing more, which is where the 8gb card comes in, but it pointless as you could just get the 12gb and not have to worry. Not to mention no need to change power supplies.
Idk man I have a 3060 and a 6800xt. While the 6800xt is a beast and delivers high fps its problematic and often stuttering after driver updates. But the 3060 always runs nice and smooth and is never a problem
i hope you dont have some shit cpu
Interesting, when is it stuttering? Any pattern?
@@ZachsTechTurf it started after the most recent AMD driver update. Might sound kinda odd but if I run state of decay 2 it starts then any game I run after that the stuttering continues. I have removed SOD2 and seams ok but I haven't play much yet. Any ideas?
Did 3 things and been running smoothly sofar.
1. Reseated all gpu connections
2.uninstalled/reinstalled drivers
3 Uninstalled/reinstalled SOD2
Fingers crossed 🤞 😂
so if we want to learn editing(4k level iff possible) and animation or in 3d modeling ( like game development ) and i am under the budget of 1000 usd ( i don't mind pc without rgb or fanciness ) what component should i pick ??? please help me anyone ......btw love ur video a lot
and one more question dlss is much better then another on noo so we are gonna use dlss so why not 3060 or 3060ti ????
If you are doing 3D modeling then Nvidia's probably your best bet (Arc is better then AMD in Blender but still). If you want to go used I would go with a 2080ti for between $300 and $400. For new, your best bet if you need 12gb of vram is the 3060,
@@IdeasAreBulletproof thank u very much gega chat bro 😃
@@IdeasAreBulletproofif you're going used, don't get a 2080ti. grab 2 2070 supers, since most productivity software still support nvlink, and the 16 gigs of vram you get when running 2 2070 supers is SUPER nice (and all in all you have way more cuda cores to work with than a 2080ti). each 2070 super could be got for around 170$, and I've personally never seen a 2080ti lower than 400 USD
Does not the rtx 3060 have a higher resolution than the rx 6650??? Please Help
I have a Zotac RTX 3060 and I have never regretted buying it, I can game, edit videos in 4k, stream smoothly in it with generally no issues at all, so no, buying a card that has important purpose for your needs is never a no-brainer move in my opinion.
Nvidia cards = If you generally make contents
AMD cards = If you want pure gaming performance
Comparing Nvidia to AMD is like comparing Huawei to Apple. You pay for quality. Nvidia drivers are very polished, and the problems are quite rare. Whereas with AMD I hear complaints about drivers all the time.. + 3060 productivity wise is 6800-6800XT level. Also 6600xt only has 8 gigs of VRAM so that GPU is already dead since 2022-2023.
As said in the video the problems with AMD drivers are more perception than reality. It's unlikely you hear complaints about AMD drivers all the time, unless you happen to be hanging around with a crowd that is just almost all AMD users. All the actual data says Nvidia has about the same level of driver problems.
What can't you do with 8Gb of memory? What games are no longer playable on high settings at 1080p? That's the target resolution of these cards.
@@loganmedia1142 What can't you do with 8Gb of memory? Every game ported from PS5 basically and almost every game that came in years 2022-2023 and every single game that will come since then. Yes you can play them if you put textures to medium lol.
Thx ur video convinced me, Just got my 6650xt last week. Run smoothly without any issues. A huge leap from my previous 1060 3gb.
Gigabyte gaming OC 6650xt only cost $230 in my country. Even XFX 6700xt only $300. But budget's tight, and i don't even game that much and I only have 1080p monitor. 6700xt would be overkill or worse tempts me to pull the trigger on 1440p 😅. Those dang 3060 still cost $330 here.
So am not really gonna focus on just gaming
I want to play good games at the same time, I do want to pursue a career in programming/coding and ai
So which one is better amd or nvidia
In that case, Nvidia.
@ZachsTechTurf I am looking to code VR in ue5 and only have a laptop, that can roughly handle 4.26, wich means I will have to buy a PC. GeForce RTX 3060 VENTUS 3X 12G was the grafics card I was looking for, and now my question is if I should still just take the RA 6650 AT.
if you're using unreal engine, then nvidia is the way to go
Is this gonna be good on my intel 13th gen 13100f?
Using amd gpus about 10-12 years, and im tired of drivers bugs, already installed rtx 3060 and plays with vsync at 1080 with vsync on, with a 60 hz monitor, and it works flawless some games use almost 8 gb of a vram at this Resolution
You should do one on CPUs, all the way up to current CPUs
If i were to buy the rx 6650 would it be really worth it while it only has an 8 gb for the graphics card?
Awesome video. Thanks so much!!!
I have a Ryzen 5 5500 and a 550w. Should I get the 6650xt or 6700 non-xt??
I guess I got lucky with timing on my 3060 purchase (the exact Zotac card in the video). I got it for $289. I think about $20 more is worth the extra VRAM.
between rtx 2070super and rx6650 xt , which will be better choice?
Got an inno3d rtx 3060 for 270 euro, think its worth it
most people just don't care about wasting their money, just leave em. Let them dig their own grave.
I have the 6650XT and I’m running it on heavy settings with OC Ram at 3600hz and I’m getting 165fps (consistently) on MW2 on Ultra settings 1080p. It’s been so nice and I was able to get a better cpu & rgb fans for the price difference I saved. I was close to getting the 3060 but I’m so glad I didn’t.
tell me if you have any drivers problem with rx 6650 xt please 🙏 i want to buy it and I'm confused about it
@@Michiko.x only in the beginning but that’s because I used the wrong software. The latest Adrenalin software works flawlessly
@@Michiko.x have had an xfx 6600xt and 6800xt since launch and have had 1 driver issue with 1 game if that tells u anything. biggest issue i see is people not knowing how to properly install drivers or are upgrading from and nvidia card and dont use ddu to clean the old drivers off the pc first. also people going on youtube and copy pasting oc profiles and thinking its a one fits all type of deal and start getting issues and blame a driver lol.
So would a nvidia or amd card be better for streaming? Im leaning towards getting a 6800 but im not sure just yet.
Unless you are a professional streamer AMD is going to be better. But if you preice range is $400-$600 get the 4070. It has 12gb of vram and has AV1 encoding. But if you are around the 400-500 range then stay with the 6800, it wont be noticeable unless you are spending thousands of dollars on a camera/sound board/mixer ect. For an average gamer AMD is beyond good enough.
AMD supports streaming. It's a literal fact. Nvidia fanboys who say otherwise are lying, and there has been upgrades for the encoding quality for a while now.
@@LegionGamingTV how would an Intel arc a770 16gb do?,I actually have that right now because I got it so cheap in my area ($200)
@@T0pN0tchSoldi3r Arc is good for streaming, not performance. There are driver issues and it's not power efficient for the performance. It's better now, but the chip is still fundamentally flawed and better off ignoring until arc 2 comes out. I'd go arc over a 3050, but not a 3060 12gb. 6700 is better than both, no software or driver issues.
If you already have an arc card, might as well hold until you need better. The drivers can improve further, no point wasting money on side grades.
@@T0pN0tchSoldi3r I dont have any first hand experience with the A770 or A780 but from what ive been seeing they are going to be awesome for streaming and have good price to performance. IDK why everyone seem to be putting efficiency in the conversation all the time. In my opinion power draw shouldnt even be a conversation unless your getting into the 300-350w range. Even an RTX 2060 pulls close to 200w under full load.
I had one of those 8gbs ones shipped to me for $73 today.
Amazon had an exclusive, no-credit deal for four months. I’m going to make a Father’s Day build with it.
is C tier 650w PSU good enough for r5 5600 and 6700 XT? for example MSI A650BN
What about nvidia reflex in games like valorant? And has a alternative?
soooo what is better for VR? is there a difference between Vr and non Vr?
@ZTT would the 5700xt also be a good option
Yes, but 3060 12GB can handle RayTracing and Radeon not, and Radeon power consumption is way higher. I bought 3060.
