Geode resin coasters
I used Barnes Clariti resin to make these coasters. I also used mica powders by Art Tree Creations and Artisue.

I ended up doing a flood coat over the back of the coasters and added silver foil flakes :)
I love how genuine and unorganised you are, it makes me laugh , and you don’t skip a beat you either entertain us or share your huge range of knowledge and experience, honestly I appreciate how honest and real you are ,as apposed to people that cut n clip their videos and make it look easy and perfect , it’s just not how it is and it wastes people’s time, money and energy thinking it’s that easy, whereas you show it how it is and for that I’m very grateful …. A mishap is just a lesson you haven’t learnt yet …. You’re a true teacher and funny to boot, thank you 🙏
Those pink coasters are very pretty.
I like hearing your brain thoughts. I thought you were crazy for not putting the gold in it, but when u explained, it made perfect sense. Very pretty.
They are the best looking coasters there can be
I really like the way the silver flakes blew out.
Just love the delicate soft pink and pearl white with the silver. Stunning! Will be trying these for sure.
They are beautiful Julie! ♥️♥️🇦🇺
You know it’s funny I don’t know about anybody else but every time your dogs for my dog started to bark at the phone LOL
Very beautiful pink💜
Lovely Pink🌺💟 pointed Tweezers are wonderful you can go strait in and pick up stuff like hairs and it's less damaging to the pattern or design. ~ Bravo Julie the black & white flower one is amazing Beautiful Job 💗
Absolutely Beautiful !!! Well Done Ma'am ... Well Done !!! 🤙🏻From 🇨🇦
I am just beginning and you ae my favorite to watch, you are very neat and your pours are consistent!
Love the pink ones
Super GOURGEOUS. WOWWW
Color is like old rose. It’s very lovely.
Absolutely beautiful
They are gorgeous 💗
They are so beautiful 😍
got your mold in the mail the other day thanks
GOURGEOUS!!!
Love love them.
I LOVE these! Pink and silver are one of my favorite combos! I also laugh at your birds every video, I’ve got 2 cockatiels and an Indian Ringneck and they’re always jabbering away whenever I’m busy!
Beautiful...I love that soft pink with the silver. Indeed, the back was what you wanted, more than the front. Great job! 💕👍
Love the colors!
Mary Poppins A spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down in the the most delightful way. Yes. Thanks.
Love it,beautiful work
Looks like pretty pink lace. Definitely for the girls - on a dresser or at a tea party.
Beautiful colour 😍
Would love to see one where you leave your Center with out glitter or anything To see what it does
I like the back too
Acrylic pours are awesome but so are these. Do what you want. 🥰
Pretty in pink. They are beautiful. Nice job
OMG Julie, These are gorgeous, I agree the back is perfect. I think you nailed it.
Very pretty
I like the silver dust.
Like the back too
You did do the flood coat with the silver flakes!! They are gorgeous! I am impatient, too, so I understand! Adding that flood coat gives such a beautiful depth to the coasters! It is well worth the added time! Stay safe!! Thanks, Julie!!
Hi Julie, these turned out very nice! Wow the birds in the background sound lovely!( Thee puppy's too!)
Sending positive vibes your way.
Peace love dream's 🇨🇦!
💞🌐📷📽️⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌅🌍💜🌏💙🌎🌄💯🕊️💕🐑🎬😉
I sooo love these colors!! I know you’d hoped for more color differentiations but this soft color is wonderful!! I love watching the creative process, & remember, life is organic, so a few mistakes just increases the organic flow!
Love them
Just a little FYI. If your mica paste is hard, put your heat gun on the top for 5-7 seconds and it liquifies
These are so pretty, love love love them. That is so me , the colours are gorgeous.
I like the new “Intro”
Beautiful
I like both sides
It's great to see the paste stay on the outside, try putting clear between your powder colours too. These are beautiful.
I do like the “B” side too. And your display? Exquisite!!! ♥️🌺
Stunning colours!!
I liked the front the the backs are my favourite a lovely set of coasters ❤️
Beautiful!! I love both sides.
These are really pretty! The color is beautiful!
Hi Julie, if you leave the coasters to set for about 3 hours the resin will get tacky and then gently lay some dry flakes onto the coasters, making sure they stick, then pour a layer of clear resin on top, you will still only have to wait the normal amount of time before unmolding
Hi Julie, I also like this one very much! Love your display. 💞
These are beautiful ❤️
I think I agree...I like the back better too! They're very pretty😁💕
Try pouring a thin layer of clear down first and torch. It may help with the air bubbles on the bottom....
Lol...I was just thinking even Steven when you said it😂💕
I love the backside best too. Beautiful !!
Stunning, as I expect from you! 🎵🎵🎵❤️🎆
Really like!
On my screen these look maybe, gorgeous!!
so sweet
Beautiful!
I think I might know what the residue floating on the top is. It's wax from the inside of the paper cup. When the resin heats up, it melts the wax and mixes it back into the resin.
I know you were just stating out but these are very pretty ,
Drop tiny crystal scatterings in the clear middle for a barrier and then drop the silver on the outer side of the crystals... then as they move in the crystals hold the silver out a bit
Very pretty!
I absolutely love the colours, Julie. I think the roses gold in the middle. Julie, where do you get your mold from? I just love them. Thanks for show us 😍
LOVE 🏵️
I love them Julie, you are way too hard on yourself 💖💋
I believe the residue on top may be from the wax on the sides of your cup when you stir your materials.
I might be totally wrong as I know nothing about this stuff, but what about making little disks of resin & glitter, let them set, then when making your coasters pop them in? Just a thought
Good idea
Sounds like a very good idea to me!💯💞🌏🇨🇦🕊️💕
That's what I do for my paintings, I make small "rocks" out of coloured resin and foil then leave them to set. I suppose if you did it with clear resin and patted them down to make them flat, it would work. On my coasters I just leave the resin to start to set them add the clear with the foil.. Seems to work but I suppose it also depends on the resin 💖
Hello. Have you tried pouring your glitter or flake mixture first then pouring around it out towards the edge of the mounds? Love your videos by the way
I mixed my flakes and then pour. 3 to 5ml into a med cup and let it cure. Then I squeeze the sides of the med cup to loosen my nugget and turn upside down and tap the med cup on the table and the nugget drops out. Then when I put it in the center of my mould, it doesn't move or spread out. Suseann VanLiew, Mason, Michigan.
Pretty🌺🌹
Hi Julie, love watching you work. I was very interested in you making the coaster moulds. Please could you tell me what number is the video for you making your latest smaller coaster mould. I have loved watching you experiment but I must have missed the latest one. ?
Beautiful. You'll have to make a cake stand to match these beauties. Stay safe, from Melbourne!!
i like it
Try silver leaf or another glitter that is lighter. Your glitter is heavy and sinking. You could also pour in 2 parts. First thin layer of clear then silver.
Hi, these are gorgeous! I have learnt so much from you!! Which torch are you using? I tried a heat gun but there's so much pressure coming out that it pushes the resin around too much!
These are gorgeous! I am in love with the colour ...
Q: what Resin is best to use ?
Mine keeps forming bubbles and is really stiff when I mix it 🤦🏻♀️
These are gorgeous and I could make an argument for why both sides are pretty 😊
I’m not anywhere near your level but what if you mix resin for the center at a different time. That way the majority of the coaster would be more set and the center resin section could be poured at a more convenient time. Don’t know if that would work 🤷🏻♀️
Hi Julie, they’re gorgeous! What brand of resin did you use here? Thank you!
Beautiful as usual! What do you use to paint the edges?
Just thinking could you put the centre in first wait 30 minutes then do the outer sides ???
I was wondering if you ever thought of pressing real flowers and ferns or leaves until they are dried and putting them in a coaster or platter like you did the wood? I would think you would have to pour Resin and place the flowers, leaves, or ferns and only fill half way till it dries. Then later add another layer of Resin to make sure the flowers were completely covered. Just wondering. I saw something yesterday on Home and Family on the Hallmark Channel that made me think of that and you.
i always put mine in after the resion.does it work better to go in before the resion?
Julie, I love these coasters, pink is my favourite colour. I do think you are still using far too much Mica though, just the tip of the smaller lollypop stick is enough, you will get the same colour, but it won't take over the other colours like it's doing.
Maybe try one with at least a quarter of the mica you are using, if it works, just think how much longer your mica powder will last x
I have tried less. I don't get the nice effects
@@PouringYourHeartOut Ok, thats fair enough, you got to go with what works for you xx
So so beautiful 😍 I wonder if you are shipping to Norway and how much will it cost❣️I really like to have one of your work!
Hi Julie, my wife and I have started this hobby 3 months ago and we love it, we sometimes, get beautiful 3d cells on the back surface, but it just comes by chance... What is the method to get these effects when we want them
Thank you!
what do u paint your edges with?i see diff things in your vids but can never see what it is
When you do a flood quote do you put the coasters back in the mold and then poor clear resin on top? Yes I'm a beginner
I coated the backs of these so had to take them out
Beautiful whereabouts did you get the little stirrers for the coffee cups thanks
Amazon, most likely she has her affiliate link in her description! They have just about everything! I know because I've been building my Acrylic paint kit & all that is needed! Happy creating! 🇨🇦💞🌎⭐🕊️💕
Do you sell your coasters? They're so pretty!
I take the pretty but I do like the bottoms better
They're really pretty and yes I like the backside as Petra would say :)
These are my favorites now, and I'm not a pink girl
The back interesting
C est magnifique. Kiss for you
