    The artcoat is not as thick, and probably better for what your wanting it to do ( it is also heat and scratch resistant) and if you heat your resin up a bit with your heatgun , before adding the clear, it will move the colors out of the way better. Just some tricks that I have learned with stonecoat resins , they turned out beautifully

  • @debbieschoop-wilson3612

    You took the words right out of my mouth. I was thinking since the resin is so thick, that you could put in a circle like you do the darkest instead of a puddle.

    That mold is incredible, I adore the little hearts in it. I love that light purple, and you're so kind to think of our "Julie hit"! I shall watch this space for your mold, I think! I'm sorry that adding clear between each layer didn't have the effect it should have had. I probably shouldn't have suggested it, but it works for me.....That resin is even thicker than my Epoxy glass!! Best purples I've seen, gorgeous

  • @wysgyeman
    @wysgyeman Před 3 lety

    I thought the little hearts were for the itty bitty bits of leftover resin! Especially good for when you do the flower coasters! Such beautiful, deep purples! They look almost white around the glitter. Great job, Julie! Love them! Stay safe!!

    Those are my favorite purple ones. Love your new mold and the hearts.
    Just a question, not being sparky. Don't you think maybe your table you use is not level? Do you have a carpenters level? If so you can check it really quickly and level the table. You can also put it on your mold before you start to see if it is level. The small ones on Amazon are really cheep. I am saying this because that is always bugging you and you do such beautiful art that I hate for anything to get ruined because the table isn't level.
    Thanks for sharing all your beautiful Resin and art with us.
    HAVE A GREAT WEEK!🎨🌺🌻🌞🌞

    Hi Julie!! 👋😎👋 These are beautiful! Especially with that glitter in the center. 🌸🌼🌺🌼🌸
    As I was looking at them, it dawned on me that whether it's bubbles or glitter, on the solid colored coasters it doesn't matter. It's a lovely effect. It does matter when the resin is supposed to be clear tho. Is there pearlescent or clear very small glitter you can add to help hide the bubbles? Not a perfect solution, but it might help.
    I love what you do with your resin pours, Julie!! 🧡💙❤️️💜💛
    God bless and have a great week.

    Hey love! I commented on your video last night about the fact that I work with SCC resin too. I have never thought it was very thick but was wondering if I was mistaken. I have been working with it for the past hour and it definitely is not thick. How odd that you are having such a different experience. Now I only mixed up 100 ml, but it is just as thin 45 minutes into my work time as it was when I finished stirring it. I work inside my house and our home temp is 73 degrees. Are you working in a colder room?? I do want to reiterate that as long as I torch the bubbles many times over the first 3-4 hours after mixing/pouring I generally don't have many bubbles. I hope you find a way to enjoy it like I do. ❤️ (I use the counter top heat resistant version. I own the art version but have not worked with it yet)

    OOooooo, I was wondering if you had made that mold. Looks so professional. Good job Julie.
    Lol, damn work! So true, I need my Julie fix.😉 Those colors are scrumptious. That's too bad about them not being able to do the rock edges on the mold. That's one of the things I like so much about your coasters. 😯 Does the doming make the coasters or your cup not sit flat? Just curious. Heat gun, use your heat gun to warm the resin in the coaster, should make it flow.
