Threes company..was he gay..or wasn't he. Nevertheless..living outside of matrimony! The Partridge Family...again..where is their dad? These shows were normalizing the culture by breaking down the family...we just didn't see it!

Today, is the ten year anniversary of his passing. He is sorely missed. I was honored to have met him in person! He actually called me on my 50th birthday, to wish me a happy birthday. He spoke of enjoying life, and to not worry about getting older, and stuff like that. He is sorely missed. I will always love you Davy Jones! 💕
I would imagine he was. The great thing about the Monkees is, they should have faded away as soon as their TV show went off the air ... They were The Prefab Four, as in "prefabricated" ... But they survived on sheer talent. I believe Mike Nesmith was the only one who wrote songs (I could be mistaken) but all four of them were great entertainers! Davy Jones in particular had a great and unique singing voice. Thanks for sharing your experience! May he rest in peace and be well remembered!

"Girl" was written for the Neil Simon comedy "Star Spangled Girl" and then used in this Brady Bunch episode as well as both Brady Bunch movies. It was written by Norman Gimbel & Charles Fox the year before they wrote the Grammy winning "Killing Me Softly"

i met Davy Jones in 1996 the Monkees did a reunion tour . Mr.Jones was a very very nice gentleman.

"Girl" was written for the Neil Simon comedy "Star Spangled Girl" and then used in this Brady Bunch episode as well as both Brady Bunch movies. It was written by Norman Gimbel & Charles Fox the year before they wrote the Grammy winning "Killing Me Softly"

futuremath08 I'm not positive about this but I did read somewhere that this song was never recorded that it was not a Monkees song so it was not on any albums it was specifically for The Brady Bunch but he did sing it at concerts. It's a shame too, I think it's the best he did
I think the style of the music was different from what Davy's fan base liked.
