Does anybody realize that David Cassidy had a great voice and was an incredible talent? What a great person.

David Cassidy was recording the Partridge Family TV show Monday threw Thursday.
On Friday and Saturday he performed concerts
with songs from the TV show and some of his songs as a solo artist.

@@amypagekaviani5661 condolences for your friend.
I met David in 1971 the night before a concert he was giving at Monticello Raceway in New York. It was raining and he was the only other person sitting at the concession stand. He was wearing a suede floppy hat and sunglasses apparently an attempt to disguise himself. Me being a young teenage girl, I recognized that look that he was thinking Oh no here we go again. I told him not to worry, I wasn’t going to bother him and that I had problems of my own. (My mom and I had just gotten into a fight). He genuinely seemed to care and we just started chatting. I told him that I was attending his concert the following afternoon and he asked me what I was going to be wearing so he could pick me out of the crowd and dedicate a song to me, which he did. Terribly saddened over his death.
Thank you for sharing that life experience😇 the world right now is beyond crazy.....I was young when this song came out.....happy memories.

This song, The Partridge Family, & Mr David Cassidy take me back to a magical time when the world was full of promise, & anything was possible. I think that's what nostalgia is - a memory of a time in our lives when dreams had every opportunity of coming true, or already HAD. I wish for everyone a little "Partridge Family" in their lives.
I wouldn’t mind being stuck in this era forever - a simpler time for sure.
@@evanisovich Hi! Not to shy away from the realities of today, but like Mr. Bob Seger said, "Wish I didn't know now, what I didn't know then...". Thanks for your comment
Perfectly put. These were times of what seemed like purity to me, very little conflict, just exploring and learning about life and really not having much responsibility (I was 7 at the time). And these cultural touchstones bring that feeling flooding back in wonderful waves. I miss this time and feeling very, very much.

I hope when generations look back. At musical history. At our most iconic performers/songwriters. Of the 20 century. David Cassidy will be included. Frankly, because he earned it and deserves it. Just like there will never be another Elvis. There will never be another David Cassidy. He was an original heartthrob, talented singer and songwriter.
I'm a singer, 52 years old. I was at a house party for Halloween about a week ago. My friends and I play requests. The Partridge Family put out some good songs. Over 45 years later, I still remember the words.
I learned the words to this song when I was 10 years old. We lived in student housing at an Ivy League college in New England. There was a lovely family up the hill , Lori and Susie Keith. They taught me the song. Life was so fun back then. Those were the days when all the kids in the neighborhood played kickball til dark. They moved away the next year but every time I hear this song I think of them and how only 10 year olds could giggle over David Cassidy. Maybe some day they will see this video and remember too.
I hope they saw the comment and hou in touch with you, we had the best days EVER.

and Caroline's eyes light up as well!!! I grabbed Eva and both of us started dancing to this in the store!!! Then Caroline
joined in and pretty soon everyone was looking at us. My mother shook her head then my girlfriend Debbie SCREAMED
and started to cry!!! My mother held Debbie and told everyone these are my children. One person said to my mother, " You
must be very PROUD of them"!!!! My mother said, " These are my twins and my youngest"!!!! When we got done everyone was
cheering and applauding us!!!!! My mother then told everyone, " My children have been dancing since they were babies and can
dance to any type of music"!!!! Eva and I hugged and kissed Debbie and told her, " Be ready for this because you will see a lot
of this out of us"!!!!!
RIP David you had a great voice
A LOVELY MAN.
