Respect to Quinn Hughes for REALLY saying this...

- Great to see Elias Pettersson get the opening goal for the canucks in game 2 against the Edmonton Oilers. Tough loss for the Canucks. Quinn Hughes was not happy after being high-sticked by Connor McDavid which caused bleeding and would have resulted in a 4 minute powerplay for the Vancouver Canucks. Glad Captain Quinn was willing to stick up for himself and allow the referees to hear his disappointment. Should be interesting to see how the Canucks respond on Sunday and stay tuned for more Canucks content.

This is why my wife stopped watching a few years ago, she believes the league is rigged for income or revenue instead of fair play
That same REF should be removed from the NHL as a ref! After that terrible hit on Quinn !
These analysts don't understand the Canucks. This team is built different then the Canucks teams before it. Oilers meanwhile need all the handouts.
NHL does not want Vancouver to advance . They will interfere with ref's to see that Edmonton meets NY Rangers in final . Wait and see .
yeah, betteman has a hard-on for big tv markets. he wants to raise the profile of the nhl in north america and get to the promise land with a broadcast deal with one of the big 3 in the usa. i get it. but manipulating the outcome of a series is not the way to do it. it very WWE.
@@CashMacGregor You must be new to the NHL, it's what Bettman has been doing for the past 3 decades.
@@CashMacGregorhe wants to raise the profile of the NHL in the USA. Not Canada.
That ref needs to be disciplined.
The Canucks were brutally damaged, shamefully and again... by the same referee. I'm sick of it
Always blaming refs!! Keep crying
The refs were bad for both teams
@milanuzelac9251 you sound like a leafs fan. Your team is the best, but Bettman and the refs go against you.
@@dopeboygangstaYou’d be upset too if Mcdavid was cut and slew footed.
And kozari fucked us game one. Whoop de doo. Shit happens bro. Kozari and mcdavid have a storied history. Look it up.
Thankfully Juulesen flew into Edmonton with the team today, so I really hope he’s out on the ice tomorrow! I don’t think Tocchet will bench Ian Cole but his ice time will probably be heavily limited.
Juulsen might be in for Tyler Myers who is probably a bit injured right now from last game.
Van fans forget the Refs, and the CIBC and Rogers ads with McDavid. Embrace the disrupter underdog role.
Embracing the Underdog role is great for the Canucks in my opinion and puts more pressure for the Oilers.
Officials are favoring McDavid. Its obvious..
Dude. Penalties were missed on both sides. But I will agree. Mcdavid missed call on Hughes was huge.
As an avid Oilers fan I agree the officiating was awful but it wasn’t one sided there were infractions missed on both sides
Canucks scored a 6v5 goal. I wouldn’t say that’s favouring the oilers
Not what I observed the referees are letting a lot offences on McDavid go and also blind to penalties on both sides. There are a lot of questionable calls missed
Canucks winning round 1 and the win in game 1 of round 2 is their Stanley Cup. You can maybe put up a banner for that.
I made the call for Juulsen in the Nashville series. I hope they implement it.
That ref at least should of consulted with the other officials.
Extremely bad ref..he needs to stop working in the n.h l
the only ref non call or call that bugged me was the high stick on hughes. it's not like it was away from the play, it was 5 feet away from the puck. other than that i thought they did an ok job.
The McDavid dive a couple minutes later was pretty pathetic.
When will they sue these refs and FIRE THEM?
So if you make a mistake at your job, you will voluntarily quit and pay money to the person you wronged? Pfff get real..
What about the highstick on Hyman that wasn't called? Refs missed calls on both sides and an Oilers powerplay is far more potent than the Canucks so count yourselves lucky.
McDavid was tripped on the tying goal and crashed into the boards and could have been injured and the refs let that go. McDavid said nothing about it and that's what Hughes should have done the same rather than mouthing. The refs cann't and don't call everything.
Losers, whine. Winners, move on, and win. I see a lot of whining in these comments.
👍
Remember that the Oilers came off a very physical series with the Kings and are still in crunch mode…Hughes injury was definitely missed and should have been called….bringing in bigger hitters will not solve problem, I think finesse still is the best solution.
The NHL is an embarrassment. Still, in 2024 it's run by unprofessional hacks, a little circle of clowns who reveal their bias toward teams and players and by doing so damage the league. There are many things that could be done to improve the integrity of the league but "Boss Hog" and his pack are not interested. Specifically, the NHL's sad and extremely inconsistent officiating turns possible new fans away. If you have 4 officials on the ice and 2 are restricted from pointing out an obvious penalty, it's clear the fix is in play.
Even Steven , they missed the high stick on Hyman earlier so deal with it.
Both should be called and one shouldn't be called if the other wasn't called. We need to get refs out of game management and call the rule book, which by the way would have had given the oilers more power plays.
The missed the McDiver embellishment when Suter love tapped him
@@OG785 McDirty the McDiver.
Oilers win in 6. I’m hoping!! With help from the ref’s of course.
The Oilers are as soft as Toronto and I can see them losing easily if Vancouver gets any rougher with them.
I can see them dishing out the pain in Edmonton if they think they're going to steamroll the canucks.
absolutely, set the tone...
@@mikem9536 Hmmm hows that working out ??
