  • Hi friends, seven years ago, I had made a video on this channel describing alankaars (ornamentation) in Hindustani music. That video was made in English. This is a remake of that video in Hindi/ Urdu.

Woooooo kya baat jab mujhe pahle pahle music me interest aaya to maine dhoond start kiya ki bhartiya sangeet k basics kya hote hai par kahi kuch bhi samajh me aata tha fir aapke videos dekhne start kiye Phir bhi sab bouncers sar k oopar se ja rahe the . Fir maine socha ki mai kon sa music banau starting hip hop beats se ki par usme bhi maja nahi aa raha tha fir pop start kiya bit uske liye bhi koi singer ti cahiye hi hota hai . Fir mujhe kahi se EDM ka pata chala or maine vo seekhna start kiya without music theory or time k sath mujhe edm thik thak sa aa gaya . Par western music theory ke bina bhi mai achi harmonies or melodies bana sakta hu par indian music ka abhi bhi mujhe koi clue hi nahi tha . To abhi maine aapki videos fir se dekhna start kiya or abhi mujhe indian music theory interesting lag rahi hai ANUJA ji aapka bahut bahut dhanyawaad aapki wajah se mai samjh paya ki indian music kaise kaam karta hai .🙏

You are ideal for explaining intricacies of Indian music.
I have loved to listen Hindustani classical music right from my childhood but had not dared to learn it and so was not aware what are these alankaars (harkatein) though musicians would mention their names in conversation. To understand that it is necessary to give experience of hearing them, mere technical description of names is not of use.
It is often said that some have musical ear and others lack that. But for even those who enjoy some typical type of music for its emotional experience, it it enriching to know what speciality of that music they find attractive.
Recently, some videos with Pt. Satyasheel Deshpande's demonstration by singing are found very impressive by me and other Indian classical music lovers. Your videos are meant for teaching and are well organised to make your points clear.
A very great gift to music lovers of technology making videos possible.
Thank you for the educational videos.
