I lived on a junk food diet for most of my life as my mom didn't really care what I ate and dad wasn't around. I hit nearly 400 pounds when this became a problem for me and I turned the ship around. I'm down to 260 right now and still going down, but I definitely fear it did long-term damage to my heart. I encourage anyone to go see a nutritionist, even if they think their eating habits are fine. 90% of us could stand to eat a little healthier these days.
Also, as a kid I wouldn't go to the toilet in public restrooms or outhouses so I can definitely recall holding it for upwards of a week, but over a month? That's insane! Talk about loose bowls after that one.

My grandfather knew a Japanese man who survived one of the nuclear detonations (I donât remember which). At basically ground zero. He hid under his desk when the air-raid sirens started, and the blast happened above his factory. He was shielded from the initial blast and ended up surviving the radiation poisoning he got. He lived a good 30-40 some years after that.
.......if the blast happened above his factory......he and the building will become dust.....
@@nexpro6118 Probably should have reworded it differently. It wasnât on top of his building, but those atomic bombs were designed to detonate around 1000 feet above ground and crush the cities with the blast. The blast basically flattened his building and he survived because his desk and the rubble protected him.
@@crabbowiththestabbo oh ok. The why you wrote it gave the impression it was right on top of his building.

I can't vouch for the legitimacy of this, mostly because I'm too lazy to look it up, but I read an article a while back about an experiment that was performed to see how long a morbidly obese person could go without food-or, to put it another way, how long can the body survive on its own fat?
If I'm remembering correctly, the man who volunteered to be the test subject managed to last months with no food. They did have to give him supplements to ensure he got his vitamins and such, but still...pretty amazing.

I saw on that channel Bald and Bankrupt that there's a Belarusian village that was effected by Chernobyl that on one side the mushrooms were okay to eat and literally, just over a very small river, the mushrooms were poisonous. It's like fungi knows borders.
A possible reason for that is that many mushrooms (fungus) are connected underground and a colony can stretch for crazy distances. I think the largest is in Oregon is covers over 2 miles. The River provides the barrier to divide the two different colonies of mushrooms and is why one is safe and the other is not. Your daily dose of unwanted info...đđ€Łđ

As for lack of bowel movement... I can confirm that you can indeed die from it. I work at a vetenary clinic and once we had a kitten who had a spinal injury. He couldn't move his legs which was sad od course but the bigger issue was his bowel movement which was close to non-existent... Eventually this lead to his death :(
Because humans are the same as a kitten lol jk

I was on a lake one day. Swam out to maybe 15ft deep to get a ball, wind picked up, i was too exhausted to swim against the new surface water speed. I called for help, then began to try and float when i couldnt tread anymore. Felt like 5 mins i was gasping for breath but my mom (who took a floatation device to me) said it was about 30s. Im glad i didnt start to panic, even though i had the thought if death in my head. I was shaking for a good 2 hours, but didnt inhale any water. Mildly afraid of asphyxiation still. I get anxious and nervous when thinking about the situation, or when put in a situation that feels similar. Glad i got out of there.
Interesting fact: In 2003, Indy Series driver Kenny BrÀck's flew into the catch fencing with 214g after a contact with another car. Just after 18 months he returned to racing. This was the highest g force crash survived by a human ever.
Another racing driver, Jules Bianchi, who drove for Marussia in Formula 1 crashed into the rear of a tractor crane that was removing another driver's car who crashed on the lap before on ths 2014 Japanese GP. Bianchi was hit with a brutal 254g. He miraculously survived, but was placed into an induced coma. 7 months later he succumbed to the injuries he sustained during the crash. Rest in peace, Jules.

Iâm from Canada, Edmonton Alberta to be exact. Let me just say, itâs a typical city with a 1 mil+ population. Itâs March now and has been -30°C for the last 5 months here. The last 6 months I was working in Fort MacMurray in -40°C daily. No fun.

I went 7 days without sleep once. Hard drugs were involved. Not sure how long I was asleep afterward (one does not clock-watch when messed up on amphetamines) but I do recall missing an entire summer day's worth of daylight, so it must've been no less than 16 hours. Between the unreliability of the circumstances and the fact that it was almost 30 years ago, take everything I just said except for the first sentence with a grain of salt.

I have tons of moles, all abnormal, I have one that is actually normal thatâs called jokingly the abnormal one.
For over a decade it was look at them, guess, and remove a sample and hope as they sent it that it was okay.

About four years ago I met my current dermatologist who considers me her best patient for all the moles I have. She found a groundbreaking way with a computer program and photographs. After hundreds of moles being removed in a decade (about twenty actual cancer), I have had two removed in four years.
Last time they did an ultrasound on my arm to check a mole, no needles needed.

I lost roughly 60% of my blood from a gut wound, I spent 3 days on a saline drip to let my blood continue to circulate. My chest felt like it was ice cold and sinking into my chest like it had been dropped into a deep hole, it was an unpleasant experience.
On my birthday when I was 9 (26 January 2018) it was also my aunt's birthday (we share a birthday). Because she was turning 30 she had this big fancy high-class party in a penthouse which had a pool and later that day around 8pm. My other 2 aunts and my cousin and I went to the pool to swim and my mom was watching us (she has a fear of water, another long story) I went into the water and it pulled me in, I had zero control over my body and I was drowning water was in my nose and my parents noticed I was drowning and that day my mom jumped into the pool in a long fancy dress to save me and will never forget that but I did not let that make me fear water and if the pandemic did not happen then I would have taken swimming lessons.
I just wanted to share my story â€

My record is four days without sleep(thanks bipolar disorder). Around the 30 hour mark I start seeing phantom smoke. When I would drive, I'd see phantom bunnies jumping around the sides of the road. If I'd been up more than 24 hours, I wouldn't drive. I'm more coherant after a six pack(though I've _never_ gotten behind the wheel if any alcohol touched my lips). It's terrifying to drive and see random things jumping around your car.
