- You might think it's common sense that some items are banned from prison, but when you hear our list you will be shocked by the common everyday items you may take for granted that are completely prohibited from being in the possession of any prisoners because what they can with innocent looking items like bubble gum, is insane. Watch today's insane video to find out exactly what these banned items are.

Making Dungeons and Dragons stuff out of what you can get in prison is some serious dedication to playing I can respect.
TBH, if I could get a decent D&D campaign going in prison it would make time on the inside a lot easier.
D&D should be mandatory in prison. No harm at all & it could also be a chance for redemption

If something resembels a wepon, it counts as one.
You can get caltrops for 1/10 of the price.
Prisoner: breathes
Guard: that's illegal
That'll be 1 dollar
I can't imagine too many prisoners being comfortable enough to sleep wearing an eye mask or ear plugs. That's how you get killed in your sleep.
Alot of them are in single cells. The sleeping mask as described in the video is not specifically banned, it is selling the masks. Selling things or having a "business" is what is not allowed.
i mean ya gotta close your eyes to sleep so
Eh, that's only if you make your cellmate your enemy.
...
look, prisons are mixed... youll have 12man rooms, 6 man rooms, and 2 man rooms all in the same unit.. while some prisons have 'open dorms' with sectioned off areas containing a few bunkbeds in each section. if you get hired as an orderly or via seniority you get upgraded to a 2man room. but if your celly dont like u you gotta find another room actually thats for any size room depending on who they are and who u are

I worked with someone whoâs been arrested many times. He said the worst thing he saw (multiple times) was when prisoners would keep waste (fermented) in a bag and would put them half way under a doorway, as the guards would pass theyâd jump on the bag, covering a HUGE area. Even I canât think of something more despicable.

I work at a prison, and one thing i found while doing a shakedown was some homemade Magic the Gathering cards. Turns out there was a a guys that had memorized the art and states for quite a few of the cards from this game and had made cards from snack cake boxes for him and his buddies. So many of us that work as C.O. play Magic, myself included and we were all very impressed with how these homemade cards looked. The inmates got to keep the cards as the shift captain that day also played MTG.

The book 48 laws of power is essentially a book about learning how to manipulate others. I can't imagine how that could be bad in prison
when inmates learn how to manipulate and influence groups of violent prisoners i can see (yet disagree) why prisons ban certain books including Sun Tzus 'Art of War'
I got this book as gift from a friend, i recomend any person to read, but not a criminal.

You can make hard enough objects out of toothpaste, toiletpaper and something else but i cant remember what. When i was in jail my bunkie made me some playing dice out of it that was as hard as rock and we used it to play a board game we made up.

Adults: chewing gum isnât an everyday object!
Middle Schoolers: no, no, yes it is
The "Suzy Love Sock" made the list !
* For those who don't know: Take a rubber/latex glove (which are plentiful in prisons) & insert it into a pair of double upped socks (one inside the other); leave enough of it's wrist to go past the ends of the sock opening; roll the sock inside out just enough so the glove is pulled open to create a tight orifice, and the glove's wrist band secures the resulting tube . Lubricate the inviting opening with either butter, lotion or spit. Attach photo of desired companion to it's 'body', and now you have a 'love sock'.
NOTE: If socks aren't available / or insufficient in capacity, a hand towel can be used instead of sock. Fold and roll accordingly.
Depending on their quality, they can be traded for commissary at a higher value than the homemade sleep masks.
ProTip: presoak the sock/towel in hot water. It will increase Suzy's authenticity. đđ€đ€

I have solace knowing that if I ever get locked up, I could at least make a living as a Dungeon Master.
They get really creative and make elaborate items for family/friends and/or to sell/barter with other inmates for the same reason. ~20-25 years ago my eldest brother bought one of these plastic crosses on necklaces for all of the kids in our family, me included, from a guy in there who made them by melting down old game pieces and other bits of plastic. Idk how he melted them but from what I remember understanding was he would melt the plastic and roll it into strips by hand, overlay 2 pieces to form the shape, smooth it out to get rid of the seams, flatten the ends on a hard surface, and slightly twisted the shaft. I always thought it vIery neat and creative.
