NOTE: Slingshotting does not work at all in the Miasma streams. The developers disabled the capability in those areas.

Fun update: We figured out how to pull off the strategy described at 7:46 -- we now craft a weapon that casts Firaga +2 (the most powerful spell in the game) TWICE on every swing. Every boss dies in under 3 seconds, except for 1 boss that is immune to Fire.
In addition, we can use this weapon, plus a weapon from another tribe, to slingshot ourselves across almost every dungeon map in the game. Time save is pretty drastic, so expect some new WRs eventually.
Makes me wonder how glitchy other games with GBA connectivity could get.
Maybe some wacky stuff could ensue for Zelda: Four Swords Adventure
Abyssoft was talking about the possibility of sending an ACE payload with this level of breaking, but it would take multiple people a while to accomplish something like that
After talking with Zac and getting his insight, I’m sure it’s plausible!
Wonder about Sonic Adventure Battle 2..I'm not familiar if things have been done with it before.

I hope you'll do a video on Star Fox Adventures too. The glitches are nuts. You can clip out of bounds, swim into orbit, and make the game think you're riding a fireball.
If you do, I can help give some hack explanation. I've been modding the game so I'm pretty familiar with its code. I can explain the funky programming that causes the glitches (but Zac's usually the one to discover them!)

I'm not a runner, but thanks nonetheless. I want to make clear that other than searching TAS setups, I am too noob to help for the glitch hunt and I discovered absolutely nothing. I plan on TASing any% in the future when the current glitch hunt stabilizes :)

Edit: The main problem of Abaddon is not that it is not craftable, it's that it crashes when used in most dungeons. So Zac and the others don't really bother trying to make it craftable.
You have a run on the leaderboard so you count, and thanks for the correction!
FFCC is still my all time favorite game and I love hearing about updates to the speed run, even if I'm not a speed runner myself. If you ever did a followup video, I'd love to hear more about the mechanics behind the wrongcraft and the items that can be wroncrafted. Thanks for being one of the few people out there still paying attention to FFCC and keeping us informed!

Love the wrong craft glitch and the Abaddon weapon repeatedly casting Blizzaga is insane.
Love this kind of content. It's so hard to keep up with any individual speedrunning community without fully investing into it, but videos like this give us a beautiful glimpse into what's happening. The same is true with the world record progression videos. Thank you!
This is really great to experience being a FFCC fan growing up! Zac and ya really have good energy together and his discoveries are very interesting once can be put into great effect fo sho!

EDIT: HOLY THAT TRAILER AT THE END IS HYPE. Can someone please tell me how to beat Thor? Been stuck at him for years. I one shot all the mobs before the boss fight but cant beat the boss gauntlet

I love ffcc. it's a true shame how horribly the remaster was treated. absolutely shameful.
it's such a special game, it deserved better.
How was the remaster treated?
@@BJGvideos it released completely broken. the online didn't work at all. and the way the multiplayer was set up is not how the original was.
in the original you formed a caravan with your mates and you would all work on the same save file, but in the remaster you just match up for dungeons then break off. so there is no caravan aspect which totally defeats the charm of the original.
also speaking on the broken multiplayer, I'm from aus and it just never worked here. square took it down from the switch eShop and they have never put it back. the game is just not available at all in aus years later. zero updates. zero care.
an obvious cash grab that flopped, and no resources were put into fixing it. shameful way to treat one of the best GameCube games ever made. clearly square just cares about making a quick buck at the expense of the fans who got them to where they are today.
