I started playing Risk after watching your videos, and I never imagined my absolute noobness would show up here.
I'm sorry for being so bad, I truly had no idea what to do at the end there.
I hit you because I wanted to double check blue was card blocked and I even wanted to see if I could help by putting my stack somewhere to help block(I know, it's so dumb when I think about it afterwards)
And then I kept hitting you because, well you kept hitting me. It seemed like peace just wasn't an option anymore and the game was fully stalled.
Love your channels man, I've been watching them for months (clearly not learning enough)
I understand if Jeannette the Weird is fully blocked from participating again.
gm here if i was your possition i would get little bonus and just cap stack to let pete and blue weaken themself. Hittting each other every time only helps third player mate. Well played nevertheless!

Just wanted to check the card block? You broke 3 unnecessary bonuses on your way down to Italy, and didn't emote letting the other player know what you were doing. (oops, thanks, well played, etc). Bad play on you, hope you learned from it since.

That lucky cap roll by blue at 57:48 seemed a bit too lucky. So my curiosity made me write a program to simulate this.
- Rolling a cap with 144 defending troups, attacker lose about 244 troups (median)
- 90% midrange of all outcomes, attacker lost somewhere between 193 - 301 troups.
- Only 12/1,000,000, or 1/83,333, attacker lost 123 or fewer troups.
This is with "true random" dice. So either you are really unlucky or balanced blitz with caps is way of with the probabilities.

Those cap rolls are frustrating AF.
I get it, luck and randomness will dictate that it happens OCCASIONALLY... But to have it happen multiple times in a game is just BS... And this is why people think SMG are doing something dodgy with the code...

This game was wild, like 4 or 5 caps just left open and free, some of the luckiest offense dice ever, and by the end of the game even the cards. I like to think that Risk is mainly a game of skill but this is a prime example that it is plenty luck as well.
Well played Pete, The true frustration in this game is there being 2 cap rolls that are much worse then a million to 1 happening. The cap rolls being broken is very frustrating when players who make cleary bad rolls aren't punished

@@gemelek4346 It’s so the bot doesn’t get any sneaky ideas to roll his cap. He doesn’t want to keep letting the bot stack behind him. But you are also correct, he should have had a bigger stack on the capital.
@@DankDankPancake I get the idea behind it but slidering that way is incredibly inefficent, he was basically wasting troops by doing that i feel like and with the bot not having a set, he knows how much the bot stack will be at all times and he can just strenthen the cap whenever the stack is getting dangerous. What he did in the end resulted in a weak cap and a weak bot.

41:26 White sent all his troops towards istanbul to make sure to take the cap. Then green set for 70, leaving white unwilling or unable to kill. Then green set for 75, so there is 160 ish green troops inside white. White might at this point be unable to kill green. Going for the kill is certainly a risky move for white.
I felt like white hit you cos you hit their noob bonus first. They didnt know you had blue card blocked so thought you'd turned on them and broke in retaliation

Had a game a few days ago I was nearly in the same situation like blue (I wasn't big at the beginning, shitty spot) and headed to the 3-player-game.
One guy was also blocking me and the other guy starts to attack him. They forgot me completly.... 🙂
I have hit a 2 with a 10 from my cap to lose every thing, then a 5 onto the same 2 and lose again and then a 4 on the same 2 only to reduce it to 1. My cap was taken that round by the player of the 2 and I never recovered from that loss on the first turn.

Hey Pete, quick question. When I play meta settings it usually seems to stalemate and last around 2 hours give or take. Is it just unlucky or am I just bad? I usually am patient and come out with 1st or second but I can play alot of other games in 2 hours.whats going on?
My games almost never stalemate and you can see why.
I'm always planning strategizing making kills sequencing kills. I think people let other people get away with murder because they're cowards
But yeah high risk high reward. I make a slight mistake I die too right.
Why let blue hold africa? I didn't understand that move, you could move your stack down 1 territory and take away free troops from him, maybe that would've made the difference and your carblock would've held.

I have been following you for a while now and I’m usually not commenting on anything. I know how much you do for the Risk community which I have the upmost respect for. I have enjoyed your content for a long time now, but what I would like to say is:
Please do not report players that quick, just because the game is not going your way. Of course white and blue are teaming up on you in that situation. With a platform like yours, I think it is important to only report players with it is certain. I have had an account that have been reported due to soar losers, since I have never cheated. That sucks.
I very strongly believe that players should not have the ability to report other players. We should be protected from collaboration by the system. But since we aren't yet, I choose to over-report.
