I would love a massive interactive map for a super tournament where you start on a small map. Say London for example, then the winner controls that map, then you would zoom out to a map of Britain, then Europe etc. This would be done in groups and the winner/winners of each group would go on to the next, bigger map eventually culminating in an epic battle on a map with all 195 countries.
I have imagined this so many times man, would be awesome
You could also have it that each map has 40 turns to finish(could be adjustable). If a player was able to win faster than they get extra turns to buff up their territoris before the next battle. If there were any unfinished maps, then the next stages players would have extra people, but weaker to fight
Would be cool if it could host 8 players
That would be chaotic but amazing for maps like this
We would need 45 sec turns for that
You do like large maps.
That’s my biggest complaint with this game is that it’s only 6 players
There are only 7 free colors. But I would love for them to add more or make black and white free.

Would love to see more of this with more human opponents. Have to try it out myself, certainly more action on this one I think.

Aww, I was all excited and thought they'd made a new map with something akin to all the nation-maps pasted together. Well, 80+ territories is a good start... :D Need more!
Baby steps
I think the reason behind the bot wasting 10 seconds before doing anything is to give the player that disconnected the game extra time to get back in the game.
SMG assumes it was an accidental disconnect and would like to give the player highest chance possible to return to the game in the same state as he/she left it.
Makes sense for a disconnected player.
But the bots do this as a default ever turn even if they started as a bot or the players has gone MIA/Surrendered.

So many Manchurian Candidate sleeper agents who's training will be activated once they login and actually hear those game sounds for themselves... *must open lines-set in turn-chain kills-make them die*... You definitely gave me a head start like that 😅
This is kind of what i've been talking about wanting to see. A world map but with more territories. basically more or less. This is awesome, I'm excited for this one!
16 minutes in with an 18 troop stack, that alone was like 75% of each person's troops, you had on one stack, what most people had across their board combined. That's wild. They were all in the low to mid 20s.
27 minutes in this map would be RAD with like 8 players, I'm sure.
"New World Views" good to know if I ever pick this up, this is a map right here where it's like a more detailed classic, which is what I've been asking for, it exists!

I played this map once and found that the secret to this map is Africa. The combined bonus of N and S Africa is 12 troops, which people won't notice, thinking it's still 3 troops.

Just reinstalled and had an epic 1v1 endgame with a fellow GM in a 6man progressive fog blizz caps on Conwy Castle. Ended up getting extremely lucky rolls on multiple situations where he almost had me card blocked and got lucky cards a lot too, but ended up getting the W! That map is intense for Cap 1v1 endgames, and it made me realize how right you are about Risk's potential as an ESport! Keep it up Peteman

I am glad to see more South African players, when I check the leaderboard I see more SA players each season...Pete most likely got a boost in the South African CZcams algorithm. Hopefully within the next year or two get that 1 millioon subscriber count

the term 'Horn of Africa' refers to the area around Eritrea, Djibouti, Ethiopia and Somalia that juts into the Indian Ocean and looks very much like a horn.

I hear you use the term "fish" a lot, which I hear moreso in poker. How do you differentiate between a fish and a "donkey" in risk?

@@TheKillPeteStrategy they're pretty much the same, but in my experience fish just means someone who isn't experienced, while a donkey is the same but they play aggressively. Like those 3v2s I sometimes see in your videos.

Balanced blitz favours the attacker more than true random when done correctly so he's just losing more troops without much advantage

For the algorithm
Why do you keep equalizing the tiers? It doesn't make sense to have them all even number. There could be 3 maps that are top tier and then like 7 that are clearly not perfect but pretty good. It doesn't make sense to put 5 in S tier and 5 in A tier. You should have the top 3 in S tier and the next 7 in A tier.
