- In this video I install my Remis cab blinds to the windscreen. They are installed on a Citroen Relay but will fit the Peugeot Boxer, Fiat Ducato and Ram Promaster. The ones being fitted are for a 2018 model so are the X290 chassis versions.
The Relay has a parcel shelf fitted that interferers with the top rail and I needed to make some adaptations to the parcel shelf in order for the blinds to fit correctly.
The blinds came from Magnum Motorhomes as a complete kit including the front and can be found here:

Loving the videos mate! Keep them up.
Thank you.
Another brilliant job me old mucker was the super glue for the awkward bit in the middle bottom 😳 always enjoy your videos hope family 👪 well stay safe m8. 👍
Thanks 👍 You're right, the glue is to glue the rods together but I did not bother. it seemed fine.
you could insert there a bit of light grey window seal foam thingy :)
Very nice
Thanks
Way better looking than a foil and card blind, i might see if i can adapt an IKEA blind to do similar but they are nice, no getting away from it 👍😎
I used ikea blinds on all my self build windows . They work well and very cheap
I did buy a set of foil 'sucker pad' ones from Magnums but they were crap. I did not want to spend the £550 but after spending so much already seemed the sensible thing to do to finish it off. I still have the foil ones and will see if I can do something with them to stick better for summer use as a reflector. The Ikea blind option may well work with a bit of design flare and adaptation.
@@wiltshirecustomcamper7203 i have IKEA blinds in the rear but they are nice easy square holes, the front is more complicated 🤔 there's an awful lot of work gone into those remis front blinds so i can see why they cost what they do and they look great and considering how professional the rest of your conversion is i can see why you took the plunge 👍
That really is a very well done conversion you have there chap 😎
@@Dirt-Diggler Thank you for that. Ironically I think I could have done much better and now with hindsight, better knowledge, more experience and better understanding of it all, van number 2 (assuming I successfully sell van number 1) will be much much better. I've done plenty that I would change and do differently if starting again.
@@wiltshirecustomcamper7203 It's a long slippery slope to get onto 🤣 I've rebuilt my camper 4 times already, only had it 2 years 😮
H therei, just wanted to compliment you on your excellent build. We have watched every episode!
By far, one of the most professionally finished, self conversion I've seen. Our build is on pause, buthope to resume soon.
I have many questions but won't hog a comments section just for me. Again, really well done and F$%k the begrudgers. Jamie
.
Thank you for your comment and good luck with your build. It has all been a good learning curve, and WCC van mk2 will hopefully be better now with hindsight and better knowledge of everything.
1/4" drive ratchet and PZ bit does that squeeze in
Yes it would and I tried that but could not get enough force on it to get the screw started. although in fairness my old Snapon ratchet has more play in it than a Land Rovers drive train.
Or I was thinking hex head self tappers and a ratchet would do too.
VHB tape would do the job on that lower centre bracket.
good suggestion. thanks.
Great video. Thank You! Would you be able to confirm if the blind will still close with the iPad holder up?
No it wont unfortunately. I can just about leave the dashcam mount on the window but need to remove the actual dashcam itself.
Anyone know where in the Netherlands or Germany I can order these blinds? Thanks
no, sorry. although www.tigerexped.de/ dont sell them, they might know someone. worth a try?
Frustrating thing is apart from all the new rattles you'll have is that you still need the external thermal blanket to negate the condensation.
Have been on several trips and none of it rattles I have to say. I will take the crappy silver clad blinds i started with during the height of summer to reflect the radiant heat away and they will tuck neatly behind the remis blinds. have not experienced any condensation issues yet so cant comment on that,
Nice job 👏 👍- what was the superglue for tho?
Good question and sorry i missed that bit. it is to glue the rods together but I did not bother as it seemed fine as it was.
