  • Are Remis Van Blinds Really Worth £600 YOU DECIDE! it all really depends of if you think there a good addition for your van .when it comes to the Remis Remi cab blinds for the vw crafter ill have to admit after having fitted them they are something that we would never want to be without.

    the ease of use outweighs the awful build quality and the price is way overpriced for what they are, but we saw the Remis blinds on a friend's van and wanted them for ours, we knew what we were buying and just hope we can look after them but we do have a tendency to be heavy-handed and with the Remis Remi cab blinds you need to have a gentle touch, But ill let you decide if the Remis Remi cab blinds are worth the money we spent on them

  • @kinavans

    My Remis blinds were fitted 5 years ago and have stood up to the test of time. Yes it's now a fiddly job if you need to remove the pillar trim but we wouldn't be without them. They stand clear off the windscreen and don't absorb moisture when condensated, however I felt the drivers door blind trim obstructed my view of the standard wing mirror. So after a few scary episodes of blind spot/near miss I fitted an extended arm drivers wing mirror. I'm also sure that the previous owner only paid about £300 for the blinds in 2016. 😲

    • @UrbanVanlife
      @UrbanVanlife  Před 3 lety +1

      Now £300 is a great price . And YES YES YES the placement on the driver side blind dose obstruct the mirror a lot and I’m not happy about that at all . Part of me feels it wouldn’t pass the mot if they bothered to check it . I really think that could be altered

    • @kinavans
      @kinavans Před 3 lety

      You may well be correct about the MOT and yes, a small shift rearward of the side blind centre upright would be a welcome and safe redesign. My extended arm wing mirror does not look out of place and I'm the only one that notices, it does however make me nervous when meeting oncoming vehicles with big/wide wing mirrors otherwise its the perfect solution to the Remis "blind spot". Thinking about it, I'm sure or European neighbours will have the same issue but on their drivers side.
      Thanks for all the helpful and entertaining videos BTW. 👍🏻
