  • In this video I install my Remis cab blinds to the doors incorporating a Thule cab lock. They are installed on a Citroen Relay but will fit the Peugeot Boxer, Fiat Ducato and Ram Promaster. THe ones being fitted are for a 2018 model so are the X290 chassis versions.
    The blinds came from Magnum Motorhomes as a complete kit including the front and can be found here:

      smile away but it is the visible deterrent that means if we were parked side by side it would be your van that gets hit. additionally, most break ins through the door windows are actually the small window followed by an arm reaching in and opening the door using the handle on the inside, i dont think hardly any 'would be' thieves will actually try to climb in through the large window. anyway, im happy with it thanks muchly.

    I love your humour. I had a right chuckle because someone (mention no names) will be biting at the bit to correct you. LOL 😂

    Just following your video to fit our blinds (thank you, makes it much easier) - at the point of needing to take the Remis cap thingy off (described as seal aperture in manual) but no idea how without damaging it - how did you get yours off?

    The Thule cab lock does not seem to be available in the US. I wonder if there are different laws here? I would like to use those on my Class B.

      Thanks for the comment. It does seem strange doesn't it. The Thule is essentially a Milenco brand with their name on it. others to consider would be Heosafe www.heosolution.de/GB/index.php?tip=heosafe&subc=0 or Fiamma www.fiammastore.com/Fiamma-Security-Products-for-caravans-and-motorhomes/Fiamma-Safe-Door-Guardian-Master- hope that helps and good luck sourcing one. You might be able to order from UK or Germany perhaps?

      For so many years I have never been able to buy any of their products in a face to face store like Halfords for fear of making myself look a tit with my pronunciation.

    Does the remis blinds offer some sun protection or they are just for privacy ?

    • @wiltshirecustomcamper7203
      @wiltshirecustomcamper7203  Před rokem

      good questions, other than the obvious 'shade' they offer when closed I'm not really sure. probably best to contact remis directly for further info on this. good luck with it.

      We have ours down in direct sun and they do offer a bit of protection from heat build up.

      No I hadn't. I am pleased to hear it if they have and genuinely do wish them best luck and a successful business as it is a very bespoke and unique item. I wish the grey was available when I got mine and not just beige....
