Well at that point, you are more of a collector than a gamer. I am also guilty of buying games (especially on sale) sometimes I start them and move on to something else, some other times never even opened. Backlog is a real thing. Very sad.

@@thomasallen4340 assuming he's been doing this for 40 years, he would need to be buying about 44 games a amonth. If thats roughly 50 dollars per game, he's spending roughly 2 grand a month. So if he's making 6 figures, this is actually super doable, but he's probably making more.

Having all this does not mean he does enjoy more playing videogames than someone who maybe has only 20-30 videogames but he/she is super fan of all them and played them various times. Ofc with all this big collection you like videogames but it seems more like a "collection obsession". More than a half of this collection are probably just "dead/decorative" games. Still amazing seeing all this collection though.
